While the police deserve credit for their skills units like Sayeret Matkal who are supposed to be the elite should have beaten the police. Looks like the IDF special forces need a little extra training in the use of handguns.

One needs to remember that the folk in these special police units are ex-army special units members anyways. They join the police after their military service.

these israeli police units are comprised mostly of ex-idf special forces soldiers. they are older, more combat experienced, and have many years of shooting experience to their benefit. the elite police forces are not the guys you see on the streets in blue. you never see them at all. and most of the missions they do are either not known, or or credited to other, more commonly known units. the fact that they beat idf spec-ops in a shooting contest does NOT undermine the IDF's skill, but shows what amazing warriors our elite police units actually are.

You're ignorance knows no limits. Calling the YAMAM a rag tag police force makes you look stupid to anyone who has any idea of what they do and how they do it. Plus, the IDF hardly issues Handguns to its soldiers. It might be better to take three extra Tavor or M16 mags than a handgun with two mags.....
