Robert Gates did not do a good job as Secretary of Defense. 1) He did not stop the Iranian nuclear program, the greatest danger to Middle East and world peace. 2) He did not prevent the U.S. from deepening its involvement in the no- win situation in Afghanistan 3) He did not lead to a perception of a stronger U.S. but rather to a weaker one

Let Gates do what he does best, sit down and do nothing hoping everybody will behave nice and sweet. He and Obama are destroying a country and already harmed all USA's allies.

Gates has been anti-Israel from the beginning. He is also anti-Netanyahu. Tell me Mr. Gates? Is EGYPT a "grateful ally"? Is Turkey a "grateful ally"? He does not understand the Israeli position in the Middle East and internationally. What does the U.S. get in return? A foot hold in the Middle East. Real time field testing of new military technology. Every U.S. dollar given to Israel is spent on U.S. military equipment. Tell me Mr. Gates: Wouldn't YOU be a bit concerned if YOUR ALLY was selling top level military technology to YOUR enemies, which would then be used to destroy YOUR country and citizens? What kind of an ally does this to its frinds? Israel has always been sold out. Greed has no morals. Who then is the "UNGRATEFUL ALLY"?

This is no more news than that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. Gates doesn't and never liked Israel. Gates was a member of Jim Baker's "Iraq Study Group". In case people forget, Baker is Saudi Arabia's attorney in the US. Gates was accused of lying and ignoring reality during his tenure at the CIA. That included providing false information to promote a particular worldview. Gates was one of the advocates of "diplomatic" engagement of Iran, allowing them to develop nuclear weapons that endanger American interests.
