1. Gee, Turkey really trying hard to get a win.
(09.06.11)
WOW. That was a big meaningful victory! Thanks to the hackers. The vulnerabilities are now exposed and weaknesses corrected. Just another day in the global war on cyberscum.
2. If Turk hot shots really good - hack US nuclear
(09.06.11)
...arming codes for the 90x B-61 nuclear bombs that NATO has stored in Turkey! No? Not that good? Well, do you have your own nukes then? No...but our friends in Iran nearly do!!!
3. And where is the problem?
Yael Schlichting ,   Raubling - Germany   (09.06.11)
System engineers! Go and do your work! First, learn, that it's not "Domain Name System" but "Domain Name Service" and after you have learned this, you can look up how to counter these kind of attacks. Go to CIAC and CERT and.... and harden your systems! Document the attacks using computer forensic methods and then send a UNIX daemon to dog the perpetrators steps until the time_t's wraparound!
4. Very responsible and mature behavior....
Dan ,   USA   (09.06.11)
NOT!!!! So this is the new Turkey: a bunch of cry babies that will hold their breaths until they turn blue. Their Prime Minister is obviously someone who had problems transitioning from being a teenager to being an adult.
5. What goes around
dennis ,   nj usa   (09.06.11)
If Israeli hackers set their minds to it, they could send back Turneky to the dark ages. Literally. dir balak!
6. Bad reporting
Raver ,   Israel   (09.06.11)
DNS stands for Domain Name Server! This was a DoS - Denial of Service. And we have the tech know-how and the brains to combat this ... these hackers are exposing themselves, which means our people are monitoring them. I will be bold enough to say that we will pay them back with a bit of their own medicine soon ...
7. Turkish cyber-war vs. Israel? Watch out Turkomen!
Abraham ,   Santa Barbara, USA   (09.06.11)
Are the Turks really stupid enough to engage in a cyber-war vs. Israel. Have the Turks heard of the Stuxnet virus?
8. Where is the vaunted Israeli security expertise?
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (09.06.11)
Given Israel's expertise in computer and network security, one would have hoped they'd have better protection against attacks on its computer infrastructure. It should be clear by now that Iran, Turkey and Hezbullah have targeted that infrastructure in any future conflict.
9. Islamist Turkey OUT of NATO, asap!
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (09.06.11)
10. Story Photo
Bill ,   New York, USA   (09.06.11)
Sources say there would have been even more Turkish hackers involved, but they ran out of black ski masks, without which a DNS attack is ineffective..
11. I hope it will not go unanswered.
leo ,   usa   (09.06.11)
12. israel unleash stuxnet 2
(09.06.11)
13. Not so fast with revenge.
Norman ,   Minneapolis, MN, USA   (09.06.11)
I think that Turkey has been deliberately provoking Israel as part of its Islamic tilt; however, I hope all you hackers will keep your heads about you. I notice that your leaders from the major parties all want to have a good relationship with Turkey, as Israel is getting more and more isolated. So try to keep a cool head, even if the Turks are losing theirs.
14. "probably entailed a significant financial investment"
Global Citizen ,   Israel & USA   (09.06.11)
This is how they spend their money instead of educating their children - then it's Europe's fault their "refugees" are unemployable. They truly are cut from the same cloth as Palestinians - billion$ in aid gone to weapons instead of food and medicine. Radical Islam is all about being a total loser and blaming it on everyone else.
15. Hackers
Marcela Araújo ,   Brazil   (09.07.11)
Sometime ago, I called a friend to clean my pc from viruses sent by hackers... But... ... Some people can do for us things we don´t want to do... (Someone like an outgoing north-american friend...). ... But, If these people have their own business to take care (things like: money, professional career...), Why would they waste their time doing favors to somebody else??? ... In this world we live, I don´t think a person would let to take care of your own career (and let to make money... ), even for a friend... So... ... He did not came.
