33. To Erdogans mother
Yael Schlichting ,   Raubling - Germany   (09.07.11)
Dear Mrs. Erdogan, can you please tell us, if your son's terrible twos were similar, to what we can observe here? Does he have brothers or was this one son enough for you? What shall we do, if this continues. Can you please give us the contact to his child psychologist? We don't want, that he causes too much damage, having such a bad episode, and of course, we also don't want him to mutilate himself.

36. Turkey elected a putz as Prime Minister.
Susuu ,   Toronto, Canada   (09.07.11)
37. Isn't this precious
Gabriel ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (09.07.11)
he has some gall... In the end, what we see here is the result of plainly irresponsible political decision making. The Arab world doesn't like turkey and plainly ignores turkish threats, the EU doesn't want 'em, the Palmer report blew up in their face, and all of this became painfully apparent in the last couple of months. Erdogan has nothing to win here, at best he can limit some of the damage to Turkey's standing in the world, and his own, but he's unlikely to have the clearity of mind to see it. If I were Israeli, I'd stop bothering about the whole issue, have a drink, kick back, relax, and don't stop laughing at what you see happening there.
38. jerusalem?
sasha ,   ukraine   (09.07.11)
Turkish PM do not address as at your headline "Ankara's PM Erdogan says Jerusalem failing to meet defense contracts obligations ". Jerussalem is not accepted as the capital city of Israel according to the United Nations Security Council Resolution 478. Turkish or any other countries PM can not address Jerussalem as capital city of Israel. Editors should change it with Tel Aviv if they want to insist on this kind of a usage.

42. Erdogan the Islamist
Vince ,   Canada   (09.07.11)
First thing first, Israel had ties and trades with a Western country built by Ataturk into a secular country, with a proud army and proud secular Turks. Now with the help and pressure from Collin Powell (the anti-Semite)and his buddies from the State department ,they forced the army to give more power to the deceitful Islamist Erdogan (typical), who first typically appeared peaceful and like a dog, started to bark wildly ,slowly pushing out all the military generals ,who befriended Israel, and then showing his true Masters. I say he is there with help from Iran,Saudis and unfortunately from the "other face of America", the forever anti Israeli one > the One that always preached for "a more balanced approach to the problem". You'll find in it,the US state dept. the newcomers (Powell,Rice and thousands others who become rich thanks to Saudi money
43. the guy wants war , no way around it
Robert ,   FARMINGTON,WV   (09.07.11)

47. Islamists boarded Turkey, on course to sink her.

48. He's just looking for an excuse
Mahlon Drumgoole ,   Newark NJ USA   (09.07.11)
First, Erdogan babbles about walking all over our honor. By honor does he mean the Turkish massacre of 1 million Armenians? Maybe his honor refers to hisaggression against the Kurds. Wait, he may refer to Turkey's hon or at invading Cyprus and instituting an apartheid form or govt wheereby the Greeks are forced to remain in their side of the island. Does this antisemite and enemy of humanity really expect Israel to give weapons to Turkey that Erdogan would love to turn against Israel? There is nothing Israel can do to turn the relationship around. If Israel apologizes, Erdogan will just think of another reason to hate Israel.
49. Texas Advise to Israel
Jeff ,   Texas   (09.07.11)
Here in Texas we would gut the drones and send them back in small boxes with a friendly little note: “Due to the backlog of parts needed to complete your order, we are unable to complete the necessary updates and maintenance required within the time requested. Thank you and have a nice day… Sincerely, Heron Drone Customer Service Center. PS: Be sure to check out the New Super Heron Drone 3000 coming this fall! (Have some fun with them!)

steve   (09.07.11)
Hey Sasha, Come to Israel and see for yourself where the capital is. The government of Israel (who I presume make these defense contracts) sits in ?- go on, I'll give you 3 guesses. Does Mr E accept the UN stance on Jerusalem or not? Either he does or he doesn't eh? So if he does, then he should accept the UN stance on the flotilla. But of course he wants to have it all his way whenever he wants. He is really turning into a first class *&^*&^% (I'll let you decide on that word - I doubt my post will get published if I print it)
51. Friend or Foe
steve   (09.07.11)
Really Haaretz, is there a need for the question mark after those words under the photo of Mr E ????????
52. @30:
mehrdad ,   germany   (09.07.11)
israel should keep the drones and give turks heir money back. no need that israeli weapons are used to kill jews when sultan erdogan runs amok. not a single knife should be sold to turkey and israeli/greek warships should patrol the drilling zones so no turkish ship can even think to do something wrong.
53. Wierdo Erdo

56. Turkey Is Led by a Dishonorable Leadership
Douglas Fireman ,   Chicago, USA   (09.08.11)
"But Erdogan said Wednesday Turkey was determined to keep up its stance toward Israel at any cost. "We don't care if it costs $15 million or $150 million," Erdogan said. "We will not allow anyone to walk all over our honor." What honor? Turkish leadership are high chair tyrants who have imperiled the lives of others including the average Turkish citizen. Not only is leadership a dishonorable lot, but they are unbelievably stupid, and totally out of control. The Arab League should tame these no-goodniks.

60. what are you talking about... are you listening to him?!
Turkmakmak   (09.08.11)
he just said that he drops all contracts, himself! more over, even if he hasn't, this is not "pure" business! he threatening in a war slogans. he chose to be a non friend and sides with Israel's enemies. if Israel is selling him weapons and he will use that against her in the future that wouldn't be so wise of israel to make her ass even larger just for that weirdo that is eager to solve all Turkish ego problems. get him out of his tree instead of preaching us what to do.
