I'm sure the author evokes great empathy with the "our suffereing is more important than others" mob. This reminds me of the often quoted arrogant statements that 1 Israeli is worth a thousand of name-whoever-is-being-hated-at-that-moment. This author makes a sad attempt to copyright suffering as Jewish property, to be used as a pitiful attempt to make the rest of the world guilty and hence beholden. At its root this article reeks of a master race mentality based on victimhood and self-assumed moral authority.

As Israeli and as one who served in IDF battlecorps I think I have right to say something. The intelectual citizens from both sides want to rise children and work, but somehow we are still in same situation. Why? Who? Oil, Market. The middle east region MUST be Unstable - because big boys want to play on changes in oil prices. Maybe I'm wrong but as I think it's irrational to finance and arm both sides of conflict and carrying out this pathetic attempts to negotiate peace.
