1. What is this?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.08.11)
Mine is bigger than yours? Bigger isn't necessarily better. Turkey just may find that out the hard (no pun intended) way.
2. Erdogan
New Yorker ,   U.S.A.   (09.08.11)
I sincerely hope that there are still enough of those in Turkey who will eventually find it expedient to hang Erdogan and his wife by their feet and balls like the Italians did it to the Mussolinis - before it is too late.
3. War ships
Enoch ,   Thornhill, Ontario   (09.08.11)

5. Anyone surprised? Just two days ago
Mikey   (09.08.11)
He threatened Cyprus with war. The blockade is legal, he got the report he asked for. Trying to break it over and over again is an act of war.

A Nice Fellow   (09.08.11)
This schmuck Obama has no strategy in the ME other than "pressure Israel to commit suicide". Only a year to go before this incompetent a-hole is gone.
9. 3 Million Turks in Germany
Carsten Schmidt ,   Old Europe   (09.08.11)
When Turkey turns against the West, maybe even militarily, can we in turn expell the 3 Million potentially hostile Turks from Germany back to their homeland? CS

its a piece of a cake. Cut the social aid and 50% of them will go back to Anatolia.
18. Say goodbye to Turkey
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (09.08.11)
Such an act of war will result in no more Turkish warships. Against over 500 Israeli aircraft, plus the Navy it will be over in a matter of minutes. Then NATO will expel Turkey for launching a war of aggression and Turkey will be in real hot water.
19. The Turkey want to be a Nasser....He is itching for war.
Al   (09.08.11)
Israel must lock and load its submarine fleet and get ready to rumble. Turkey has designs on Israel. Syria is in the throws of nothingness. Egypt is hungry and looking for a reason to strike. Turkey is taking the reins much like Nasser did in 67.
20. Haven't we heard this before?

(09.08.11)
23. When Erdogan will war, he becomes one.
Yoav ,   Germany   (09.08.11)
I don´t think that the greeks, kurds and for sure armenians would also miss such a chance to get their revange on Turkey. Also do not forget, that the Europeen are very angry with Turks and their behavior. So I´am very optimistic about our chances and will join (thats for sure) the Zahal.
24. Turkey Proven Complicit with Mavi Marmara
John   (09.08.11)
It is now clear that the Turkish government was likely complicit in encouraging if not supporting the confrontation by the MM Flotilla in their efforts to break a legitimate blockade of covert guns and arms running by the confrontational MM passenger/crews. Turkeys threat to send warships to try and break the Legitimate maritime blockade of Gaza demonstrates the militaristic confrontational AKP stance , and its desire to find a pretext to exercise its military muscle and/or leadership of the Islamic international block. More especially it demonstrates vividly the fragility of Turkeys reliability under AKP government as a constant and reliable member of NATO , when push comes to shove. It also casts significant doubt on Turkeys political fit within the EU. Finally if there were any shadow of a doubt that Turkey no longer represents an objective and trusted interlocutor in mediating and resolving Israeli palestinian issues, then this surely is the clearest signal. of that
25. THIS MAD TURK IS DECLARING WAR AGAINST ISRAEL
stude ham   (09.08.11)
how many have to die to whitewash his gross stupidity in ever allowing any garbage scow to attempt breaking israel's LEGAL blockade of a terrorist haven?
26. politician with no brains
Carlos ,   B. Aires, Argentina   (09.08.11)

Rachel ,   US   (09.08.11)
28. The scumbag Erdogan plays with fire
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (09.08.11)

29. Barking dogs, losers, dimwits, blockheads, no treasure!
Ken Quinn ,   Amsterdam   (09.08.11)
Top to bottom, the insanity is just breathtaking. They're due for another earthquake.
30. Israel vs Turkey
New Yorker ,   U.S.A.   (09.08.11)
Those who dismiss Erdogan's rhetoric as mere bluffing are fools. His verbal aggression against Israel is unprecedented and reminiscent of Hitler's own on the eve of every conquest that he had undertaken in Europe prior to the outbreak of World War II. The expulsion of the Israeli ambassador is an act of blunt hostility; the singling out and unprovoked harassment of Israeli nationals at Istanbul airport is no less hostile act which should leave no doubt as to where the wind is blowing as far as Turkish-Israeli relations are concerned. As I said in my earlier post, I hope that Erdogan and his entourage will be out of power before it is too late.
