The real reason why they hate Israel ( and the whole world ) is that there are 80 million peoples, instead of normal 10 millions in a territory of limited economic perspectives. The responsible is the UN, who is lacking to obstacle the world's overpopulation, in Egyipt and at least 100 other countries in the world. But the UN will vote over palestinian state next week and its largest problem, when a family in Israel builts an additional bathing room in the so called West Bank. Congratulations !

These 5 policeman were killed because they got into in gun battle between IDF soldiers and a group of Hamas terrorists who broke in teh Israeli frontier coming from Egypt and their attack killed 6 Israeli civilianbs. Howeve rwe don't put the guilt onto Egypt, but only on the palestinian sterrorist who carrie dthe attack. On teh contrary, why did you blame us on and not the terrorists ?

""The Peace was between governements, not between people". Show me ONE Arab country who loves his neighbour Arab country. Their peace holds 'as long as the dictatorial leader chooses. "" None of their goals have been achieved". What has that got to do with peace with Israel? ""Their intense HATE for Israel". Where// why does this 'intense hate come from.......the "Palestinians? Don't make me laugh. In comparisson with Israel, these Egyptians (and all the Arabs) are just a bunch of poor, fanatic, pathetic, hatefull, frustrated bunch of LOSERS, ......and THEY KNOW IT! That's where their 'intense hate comes from!

The border event: Israel killed Egyptian police who were attacking civilians. Hamas killed some other Egyptian police. Reality: Sadat realized the only way to Egyptian prosperity was real peace with Israel. That is why Jihad killed him. Mubarak hated Israel. He realized he could keep American money and fight Israel. He allowed his Imam to incite Israel, he published Mein Kampf, he trained his army to attack Israel, he taught the Egyptian people to hate Jews, he helped Arafat violate the Oslo Accords and he supplied Hamas with weapons. His plan was to disarm Israel from strategic weapons and then attack. Israel was very lucky that Mubarak was eliminated before he succeeded.

Tsaf ,   Madrid   (09.11.11)
they hate people from Israel in the same way that they hate Coptic people. But they hate Christians, Jews, Buddhist, European people, American people.... The question is: "Is there someone that they don't hate?"

So basically you're saying that EVERYBODY hates us including ourselves. This sounds like self hate to me. You could do something about it if you got some professional help.

Mohamed, here is THE solution: remove your troops from Sinai, since they cannot cope with terrorists, so the IDF will step in and take over that territory. Permanently, of course.
43. Arabs, for centuries, protected Jews
Palestinian   (09.11.11)
while in Europe Jews were slaughtered by the Christians. It is very sad, to see Jews persecuting Arabs, in essence back stabbing those, who took care of them, rather well for centuries. Very sad.

No actually what makes sense, is the article is wrong in it's analysis. First they say the peace was against the "will of the people". But in the next breath argue the older generation approved of the peace because they have seen the wars. Well then, the problem was Egypt wanted it both ways. First when the peace was made the older generation was fine with it, because they had lived through 2 Wars in just 6 years. So it wasn't "against the will" of the people, at the time it was made. But then Egypt raised their kids for over 30 years on a diet of hate. Hating Israel, and hating the Jewish people. The Egyptian government sent a schizophrenic message to its children. Just go to the website MEMRI and look at the type of TV shows were made, hateful antisemitic, viscous and evil. The schoolbooks were no better than the Palestinian schoolbooks, they presented a false history of the rebirth of Israel. The Imams preached antisemitic and anti-Israel hate rhetoric. So now when they have a useless revolution with no planned end game, and unemployment doubles, who do you think the younger generation will focus their hate on? Hmmm. Really do you have to think about that?
48. #46;EGYPTIAN, YES, AND SO WHAT
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.11.11)
Great!!! What is the difference? How about this for a new idea, solve Egypt's problems, instead of scapegoating Israel for diversion. Or does that make to much sense.
49. This is very silly
NuritG ,   Los Angeles Californ   (09.12.11)
This is silly …. As the Arabs always hated us, the Jews-Israelis even during the Camp David "Hudna" when we gave them arm and a leg for a piece of paper, they called "peace treaty" which they are now ready to abrogate. And the Arab world press-media and their "religious" clerics was always and is violently anti-Semitic and anti-Israel
50. "Why do they hate us?"
lawrenceab ,   Kuala Lumpur, Malays   (09.15.11)
Wow! An entire article on Israel's problems with most of the rest of the world.... and NOT ONE mention of your 40+ yr occupation and apartheid system imposition on the Palestinian people! No mention even of the word Palestinian. Quite an achievement.
51. Irony
Sherif   (09.16.11)
It's funny how everyone on here finds the easiest answer that requires the least self inspection. I'm a muslim egyptian in the u.s., i like and respect judaism and american jews, but i disrust the israeli government. You speak of hate but yet every other comment by an israelihas been dripping with hate. If you want to talk about persecution just look at palastine. Muslims are part of a world majority that is against israeli persecution of palastinians. The europeans and americans that are pro palestinian are so not because of anti semtism but because of justice. Most egyptians don'yt want war but theywant justice- i.e. The government to stand up for egyptians like turkey didwith the flotilla victims. Egyptians were killed on the border not for the first time in the last couple decades...and no legitimate apology or remorse was produced. When will the israeli gov. Realize that with resolving the palestinian issue, comes peace and acceptance from neighbors. Most of my jewish friends and acquaintences agree with me on this point and the on the blatant injustice shown by the israeli gov....and please enough with all the hyper racist and self rightous comments about egyptians and muslims, don't pretend to know what egyptians are like when you've only seen them on tv.. Wake up and stop accepting propaganda blindly...if both sides put religion to the side, we would realize, the 'cold peace' has less to do with religion and more to do with injustice and poor relation...both the israeli and past egyptian regime are responsible for the injust persecution of palestinians...human nature as it is, i wouldn't be surprised by a hateful reply to this, so be unique and don't hate this simple true comment about the issue
