Maybe they can start building casinos?
2. what a difference

Bedouin squat on land, and get to keep it. Kibutzim (Shfayim) steal land and get to keep it A Jew gets a permit to build a house on some land, someone makes an unproven allegation that the land belongs to an Arab, Ehud Barak sends 1000 troops to destroy the house in the middle of the night and beat up the Jew.

uprooting 30k people is serious, as it was in gaza. I hope this is not a theft of land but the details here are murky. It would be a mistake to not take into consideration the views of the bedouins in these decisions. After the abandonment of the SKA in lebanon, along with the opportunity to create a christian state there, Israel has the look of ditching its friends and allies.
4. baby the Bedouins
Marcel ,   Florida   (09.11.11)
Only in Israel,The anti-Israel sons of allah are feted while Zionist Jewish settlers are attacked in the middle of the night and have their homes torn down. Secular Jewish rule is insane and has failed miserably as we see with the FAILED Road Map ( to war ) process Israel has thrown it's heart and soul into.
5. Many Bedouins serve in the "IDF" and security forces.

Losers get to choose their prize! shame on you "Israel " .
6. Did I read this right?

Settlements for Bedouins approved at the same time as Israel bulldozes Israeli settlers??? Man, I really do need an eye exam, my appt. is next week. My observation, is this picture indicative of how all Bedouins live? trailer trash, a blight on any piece of property, 'there goes the neighborhood.'
7. # 4 Hear! Hear !! Brilliant, thank you.

It's like a nightmare over and over again. If Israel can't support her own religious, how can she be expected to protect the non religious Jews? Does one have sway over the other? Why the 'give away' to another Gaza and more weapon smuggling? Israel acts like she's nuts sometimes. Maybe when a Bedouins gun is down their throats will the Israeli's wake up before their lives are taken. Then again, with this attitude, it may be too late.

These villages are illegal and not recognized by the state but the government is about to spend 6.8 billion Shekel to compensate them and move them but its a plan doomed to failure. The Bedouin don't want the government telling them where they can live or not, they have already rebuilt an illegal village about five times now. The government has also made numerous efforts to rehouse the Bedouin over the years and non have worked because the Bedouin want to do their own thing. Assuming we do manage to relocate this initial 30,000 what happens when more illegal villages are built? Are we going to start compensating every Bedouin who builds an illegal village? This will probably be our version of Obama's stimulus .. we are promised alot, we spend alot of money on it but the end result doesn't achieve anything useful. The only way your going to create a solution to the Bedouin problem is by domesticating them.
10. Why are these treated differently than "hilltop youth"?
Anon in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (09.11.11)
Yes, one is settling on disputed land, while the other is settling on state land. Why the variant treatment? Because the Jews are small in numbers, while the Bedouin - due to polygamy and large families - are exploding in numbers. So there's reason to fear future claims. Perhaps the Bedouin who are unsatisfied with the government's decision, calling it a "declaration of war", might consider returning to the open lands of the Sinai. I'm sure they'll receive better treatment from Egypt. (Yeah, right...)

moving 30,000 bedouins will be good practice for moving the 600,000 living in illegal settlements in W B.

The Bedouin think they own the whole Negev and have a right to pack their camels anytime they like and move anywhere they like because thats how their ancestors did things. They don't seem to be able to grasp the Negev today belongs to the state and is no longer open desert their ancestors lived in and today the Bedouin must obey planning rules same as any Jew living in Tel Aviv would. The Bedouin have no regard for the law when it comes to housing. The courts order an illegal village dismantled they just rebuild it with the help from do gooder left wing Jews who feel sorry for them. There is one village the court ordered demolished and its probably been torn down and rebuilt about five times now. Something needs to be done about them and buying them off is not the solution because like fleas on a dog they will come back, build more illegal villages and when we pull them down they will rebuld. The Bedouin think they own all the Negev same way the Arabs think they own all of Israel.. the only ones there is no room for in this country are Jews.
