2. Egypt needs peace as much as Israel
Mark Jeffery Koch ,   Cherry Hill, NJ USA   (09.11.11)
Egypt has to decide whether it wants to be part of the community of nations or else whether it wants to become a pariah State like Iran. Civilized countries do not allow their citizens to attack and destroy the embassy of another country and, unless they were stopped, to possibly maim and kill diplomats. Egypt was once the cradle of civilization but now it is a poor country that has offered nothing to the world in terms of science, medicine, literature, and technology. Egypt has to choose between mob rule by Islamic fundamentalists or joining the world community. Killing Israelis is not going to free Egyptians from the abject poverty they live in, and killing Israelis will not make the Egyptian people free, or give them the rights to freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, and freedom of religion. Egypt has a clear choice between joining the Assad's and Ahmadinejad's of the world and bettering the life of all its people or else letting the fundamentalists destroy a once great nation.
3. Egypt is in a major financial crises.
Joel ,   Miami, USA   (09.11.11)
Egypt's main revenue comes from the canal and it's second biggest source is tourism with the current crises who want's to go touring in Egypt. Also the canal will have problems in 2 years when the Panama canal finishes the new canal and will be able to handle the largest ships, with the problems in Egypt, the chance of the mob from Somalia grabbing your ship more and more ships will go thru the Panama canal, it will put Egypt in a major financial crises. I would not buy real estate in Egypt.
4. Now you known why Mubarak was

the best choice for these types of countries. Every group wants a piece of the country andbthe one who is willing to kill more is going to win. Egypt will become worst than Iraq. There will be a civil war pretty soon if the interim govermnment keeps sittin still. You en the door to Iran and now you will have the same chaos. So much for revolution!
5. Get rid of Radical Islamists .....or
Koose E Mack ,   NY NY   (09.12.11)
It may be too late...The wild card has been played: Decmocracy had a small chance to poke it's head through the abyssmal clouds of Radical Islam. Unfortunately, The Muslim Brotherhood shattered any illusions that the West may have had about a better life for Egyptians. "Arab Spring" sprung a leak! Mubarak's reign will unfortunately be perceived as the "halcyon days".
