david ,   new york   (09.12.11)
the one thing you can say is that antisemitism is predictable. whenever leaders need the support of the mob (either to avoid being lynched like in adbullah, the iranians or assad, or in order to get people riled up and controlled like edrogen), the leaders ALWAYS resort to antisemitism. never met a jew? - no problem. 50% of the germans during the nazi years never met a jew in their life and most of these moslems who are willing to blow themselves up as "martyrs" never met a jew and were never in israel. israel need to know that this has nothing to do with them and that "being nice" will not help in the slightest since they are being used as target practice for the purposes of hate.

his father king hussein said in 1981 that jordan is palestine and palestine is jordan
40. "alternative homeland to the Palestinians"
Talula ,   Israel   (09.12.11)
I guess the king is getting a little nervous - he knows as well as the rest of the world, that Jordan is actually the rightful homeland for Palestinians - such a pity he didn't make reference to what is public knowledge. But then again, the Palestinians that do live in Jordan are treated as second class citizens and are kept in ghetto-like surroundings to stop them from integrating with Jordanian society. Why doesn't anyone with a brain challenge him on that? If he's so worried about them, why doesn't he make the ones that live in Jordan citizens and treat them with respect? It's called passing the buck...

but the King refuses to help Palestinians except with words- that what they are all good at- WORDS, empty words... blah. blah...

43. Salma - list to Amnesty International
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (09.12.11)
Hear their words, Salma, and we'll see you at the International Criminal Court for your trial.... "Whether or not attacks actually result in civilian casualties, they are in violation of international law, which also prohibits attacks aimed at spreading terror among the civilian population. The patterns of attacks and statements by members and leaders of Palestinian groups also indicate that they have no qualms about launching attacks against civilians and that they in fact carry out such attacks intending to kill and injure Israeli civilians. Such attacks constitute war crimes." Amnesty International
44. KING ABDULLAH
HERMIE ,   PA USA   (09.12.11)
What is he talking about? Jordan is another dictatorsip waiting to collapse. If you have been to Jordan all you see are huge pictures of Abdullah and his father on horses as some Napoleons. He is of course pandering to the Jordanian streetwho will eventually emulate the thugs in Egypt and attack the Israelis embassy. I am sure Hamas has it's eye on Jordan after it takes over the west bank.
45. Trojan Peace has been very bad for Israel
Marcel ,   Florida   (09.12.11)
Restrained and weakened by their false god of no peace Israel is in extreme danger because her enemies see her weakness and smell blood. All the while much of Israel is drunk on the fumes of fake peace and in deep denial. While the two B's, Barak Bibi are busy refining, enhancing the appeasement of Neville Chamberlan.
46. Jordan"s Abdullah
Jim ,   USA   (09.12.11)
Unfortunately King Abdullah is probably correct and Israel may be seeing its days numbered. The US and Israel have not been treating the Gaza Palestinian issue with due respect for the fact that it is a war declared years ago and needed to be fought as one eliminating the enemies of Israel and the western world. Now what are the choices? Israel is again surrounded. peace agreements are being withdrawn by Egypt and Turkey. I see Israel being over run unless they at with assertive and violent responses.
47. # 8 Salma
Madeleine ,   Rehovot Israel   (09.12.11)
Do I hear a death threat there, dear? Poor disillusioned people. go read history books - real ones, not those made-up by your so-called leaders.
48. HE HAS IT BACKWARDS
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.12.11)
These remarks are nothing more than self serving, for the King. He has a riot brewing on Facebook with the Israeli Embassy. He needs street credibility, with the "Arab Street". By making these remarks he appears to be standing up to Israel. Which will help him control the potential riot. Now King Abdullah speaks of a conversation with an Israeli intellectual and I quote: ""one of the Israeli intellectuals" who commented on events in the Arab world, arguing that they were good for Israel. "I replied and said that the situation was the opposite and that your situation today is more difficult than ever before." Big deal, why he said that is obvious later in the article, self preservation, as we see here: "Abdullah reiterated that his country would not serve as an "alternative homeland to the Palestinians." "Jordan is Jordan and Palestine is Palestine. We support all Palestinian rights" You see Jordan has a Palestinian majority, so the country is in effect a minority ruled country. He wants to protect that, and who can blame him. Many people have stated that there is no need for another country, that Jordan is the Palestinian state. So King Abdullah states: "The subject of an alterative homeland must not be part of the discussion. It is unacceptable." The reality is, King Abdullah is the one scared, not Israel. This interview proves that, and gives the reasons why.
49. misunderstanding in a nutshell...
eporue ,   europe   (09.12.11)
the american intellectual thought, israel would go along with the development of time... and abdullah knows the comb-over, the psychopath and the rest of the coward gang, and of course doesnt expect that...

BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (09.12.11)
Can't go from Palestine, since Palestine never existed, it was a Roman creation Palestine never had a Government of its own Never had a Capital City Didn't even have its own coins Therefore there is no way in going from what never was in the first place
53. #13 Seadog
Madeleine ,   Rehovot Israel   (09.12.11)
Jordan (actually known as Trans-Jorda originally) was created by the British out of Eastern Palestine, i.e. all of Palestine east of the Jordan river. It was to be a Jew-free home for the Palestinian Arabs. A saudi shiekh - Abdullah - was brought to be it's king. Land was taken from Syria and Saudia to create the easstern part of Jordan and act as a buffer between to separate Syrian and Saudia. So yes, historically Jordan really is Palestine. All the rest, everything west of the Jordan, i.e. inclulding Judea and Samaria, is legally Israel's.
54. Well of course
anon ,   Chicago, IL   (09.12.11)
Wasn't his grand dad run of out the future home of the Saudis? OF COURSE he doesn't want his kingdom, which is 80% Palestinian to be their state. He would be out of a job. And since there isn't any Star Trek on TV these days, his chances of finding an acting gig are limited.
55. Palestine and Israel
Ray Leonard ,   Santa Fe, NM   (09.12.11)
Palestine was a state or protectorate before it was taken from them. It should be a state again.
56. To: No. 13
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.12.11)
Well, after six wars -- all started by Arabs -- we just don't feel like giving back any more land. "Land for peace" promised by the ersatz "Palestinians" has not worked. And once Israel annexes Judea and Samaria, why should the Jordanian citizens illegally squatting there be permitted to remain? Your hatred of Jews and of the State of Israel blinds you to international convention and practice, and the consequences of being the aggressor in six wars. Too bad.

So what/ Nothing new there. We've always been surrounded, both in biblical times and modern times. Now, look at the mess Egypt's in. turkey's about to go that way if Erdogan stays in power and carries on with his madness. As for Jordan. Abdullah is shi**ing bricks at the thought of Palis in his land and at his doorstep. Lieberman for Prime Minister!!
