2. We attack if they attack - no more turning other cheek.
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (09.13.11)
3. Israelis and "palestinians" agree on one thing
Aharon   (09.13.11)
that the "palestinians" don't want a state. Further, Israel shouldn't be required to pay or give "palestinians" resources, especially if they are going to disregard Israel and the peace process by going to the UN. Again, the international community fails to realize that rewarding terrorists for their misdeeds doesn't prevent terrorism, it only makes it worse.
4. US blocking PA bid ? Seeing is believing
DT ,   TA Israel   (09.13.11)
I would never trust their present government or what is likely coming next. I don't want anymore "great friends of israel"

7. No more gray areas
Devorah   (09.13.11)
Cut all ties with them, and let them function on their own. To hell with what Obama wants, and to hell with what the world wants.
8. Obama - AIPAC love the USA
Sarah B ,   U.S.A./ Israel   (09.13.11)
9. distracting move
observer ,   Egypt   (09.13.11)
Next to the Arab spring is the Arab union. That move distracts the US in its dealing with the Arab spring, in the first place.
10. Israel will not likely take radical steps, but it will, and
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (09.13.11)
rightly so, prepare to annex Area C and parts of Area B; close the border to Gaza and stop allowing for any movement of goods or people into and out of that territory; limit the movement of movement into, out of and within the West Bank. And, Israel should start planning the construction of a new Hebrew city in the Jordan Valley between Beit Shaan and Jeruicho and by so doing providing an urban center there to serve the agricultural communities along this region that will continue to be part of Israel and its eastern boundary.
11. Maybe it is because he is a lousy leader?
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (09.13.11)
12. Obama vs. Torah
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim   (09.13.11)
B"H - Obama: "The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is only going to be resolved by Israelis and Palestinians agreeing on something". - ABY: The Ishmael-Jew conflict is only going to be resolved by Israel accepting Torah upon itself
13. PA's UN Bid a distraction
Sergio Kerbis ,   Marion, IA USA   (09.13.11)

14. So Israel, Palestine within the 67 Borders is not goning to

Noodles ,   Coney Island   (09.13.11)
16. The Lame-Duck-in-Chief ......
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (09.13.11)
Obama's foreign policy made this mess. Not since Jimmy the Dhimmi Carter has America had such an incompetent, inept, amateur-hour wimp for a president. Leftist Muslim Brotherhood stooge Obama creates chaos with his weakness, his appeasement, with his sophomoric radical left world-view. And now he does what he does best - he makes another speech,he lectures instead of leads, he evades responsibility, & he foists the consequences on us. Anyone who listens to this fool needs his head examined.
17. Oslo Accords are null & void.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (09.13.11)
Bad behavior requires punishment not appeasement. Bad behavior must have consequences. The correct course of action is clear. Annex Area C, parts of Area B, & the Jordan Valley. The status quo remains for Area A where 95% of the Arabs live. All funds transfer to the PA should be stopped. All transfers of currency from the Bank of Israel to PA banks must be stopped. Commercial activity with the PA must be stopped. Gaza borders should be completely sealed.
18. I bet Obama can't give birth ; )
Salma ,   Palestine   (09.13.11)
he can only give us large number of hypocritical speeches.
19. Another 14 months until he will be history!
Yael Schlichting ,   Raubling - Germany   (09.13.11)
Obama has two visions: 1. socially romantic luxury - heartwarmingly egalitarian 2. The world is flat and it's about the size of the U.S.
20. ytzhak benhorin-''' us to....".
sjoerd ruurd van der ,   mankindnation/land..   (09.13.11)
the us-government/administration and to a certain level, less or more (some)other countries and the united nations organization, which recognized "israel" first, should also been constructive critical against the unilateral establishment of "israel"', by david ben-gurion and his zionist party/movement in 1948, while the conflict/crises in the middle east was not then yet over. so it was a mistake and (very premature. nontheless the conflict already could/should have been ended/solved in that same year. LONG LIVE THE GOOD-WILLING-CATEGORY OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE, OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE, THE U.S.-AMERICAN PEOPLE, OF EVERY PEOPLE, OF THE ENTIRE PEOPLE/FAMILY OF HUMANITY AND OF MANKIND.
21. US to Adamantly Object...
Ed Codish ,   Pardessiya, Israel   (09.13.11)
To most of the talk-backers: Israel and the Palestinians have conflict in which each side has some truth. The United States is a great power with interests in the Middle East. I assume the people writing to the newspaper (talk-backers) have ideas about right, wrong, programs of action that they would like to convince other talk-backers to accept. Why, then, do so many of you use words such as "stupid," "to hell with," "incompetent," "inept," and many similar terms. This will change nobody's mind and marks the writer as `opinionated but unthinking. All that is accomplished in this sort of response is a display of the writer as a posturing braggart, willing anonymously to shout and stamp his or her feet. Ed Codish
22. UN vote on Palestine
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (09.13.11)
I realize that it is unrealistic to expect the United States to vote FOR the UN Palestine resolution. However, it would be a very wise and moral move for the United States to abstain. That would raise the value of our stock in the Muslim world, and none to soon at that!
23. We need to have a extream reaction
Mary Snow ,   USA   (09.13.11)
Israel needs to annex area B and Area C in response. Force also the countries of the world to move embassys to Israels Capital Jerusalem.
24. Obama No radical moves from Israel
Rod ,   Fargo N.Dakota   (09.13.11)
Hussein Obama has to learn that the 'Philistines' are the ones making radical moves going out of the perimeter of the Oslo accords.Turkey becoming a cheerleader for fundamentalists. And Egyptian Police conveniently not being prepared for many hrs when the Israeli Embassy was taken over.I'll vote for any Rebublican this time around even Ron Paul
25. do nothing radical?
IRV ,   USA   (09.13.11)
Since Oslo we have seen arab suicide bombers, arab smuggling arms tunnels, denying the existence of ANYTHING jewish, unilateral moves to that violate Oslo by going to the un, and Obama says Israel should not do anything radical? What a NORMAL course of action Obama preaches. This is exactly what led to the current situation. Letting arabs get away with acting normal and Israel forgetting to behave radical! Instead of Israel playing by these rules of the game Israel needs to CHANGE the game!
26. External factors leave 1 option: BIG ISRAEL
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (09.13.11)

Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (09.13.11)

Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (09.13.11)
29. BIG ISRAEL: politically secular, cultural core traditional.
