True Egyptians don't answer to your masters.
2. Leave Things As They Are

Lets examine the why of the treaty with Israel. Israel had surrounded the 2nd and 3rd Egyptian armies..and was ready to destroy Egypt ( artillery faced Cairo) within a few miles of Sharon. Sharon crossed the Canal, outflanking the army in Egypt..destroying the Sams provided by the Soviets, and opening an air corridor for its fighter planes. Thousands of IDF troops were in the Sinai, having recouped from the surprise attack. Again, the Arabs were defeated handily, but with casualties. Syria was next on the IDFs agenda. Egypt got the Sinai back, with limitations on troops, arms, based on distance fron the Canal. It got the airforce base and oil fields developed by Israel. It claimed it stood head to head with the Jewish state. but was in fact was humiliated again. Moussa knows all this, and Israel's capabilities. It has targeted the Aswan Dam for sure, with 1 of its 500 nukes. Would it resort to it..you bet! Cairo and Alexandreia are also easy targets, reached wtihin a ew minutes after the Jerichos are launched. So whats to gain by abrogating the treaty? Sure, Egypt has advanced F16s supplied by the US and gets 2b year for its miltiary. It also had its loan forgiven by US when it became involved (limited) in the 1st Gulf War. The Arabs are smart, but not crazy, usually. Egypt is being manipulated by the Muslim Brotherhood, which is the mother of Hamas. Do I need to say more. In the meantime, their plight has worsened since Mubaraks fall. Sometimes it is best to leave things as they are. There will be no 5th Kingdom..thats for the movies.
3. Injustice
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (09.17.11)
"Turkey understands the meaning of injustice from which the Palestinians are suffering. " That means that we shoot back and according to Muslims that is a grave injustice. D'hinni aren't suppose to shoot back. Guess what we do and we usually hit what we are aiming at.
4. Actions speak louder than words...
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.17.11)
The only reason Egypt was peaceful with us is because they were militarily devastated by us. I hope for their sake they don't start a war again.
5. methinks he doth protest too much
bernard ross ,   st anns bay, jamaica   (09.17.11)
perhaps the embassy riots are a way for the egyptian military to retake control without us and global opposition to the methods they must employ.
6. SMART GUY
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.17.11)
To attack any embassy in any country is unacceptable behavior. It's one thing to protest out front, quite another to tear down the protective walls, break in, and attempt to lynch the people inside. As Kind Abdullah understood, you can't these kinds of things get out of control. It only emboldens the people to think there is no real law. Then they turn on their own government next, when it suits them. So first they disrespect other governments and kill the people, then turn on there own government and kill their own politicians.

8. war then?
Karen ,   Canada   (09.18.11)
What a loser you are. Do poverty stricken, illiterate Egyptians really needed another war to fight and lose?
9. #2 couldn't advance offensive cuz they were besieged
observer ,   Egypt   (09.17.11)
In comparison to Israel, and against the HUGE support it had from the US that even included an air bridge of supplies during the war, Egypt has accomplished its plan to the full within the first 4~5 days of the war. The Suez crisis after that was in reality, no big issue because the Israeli soldiers would have never been able to advance or develop the offensive, as they were besieged (Egyptians could have bombed them and finished the deal, except that they would risk the lives of the other Egyptians in the smaller circle) which makes the Suez crisis no more than a last minute goal by a soccer team that was losing 5-0, and just modified the score to 5-1 before the final whistle. This by all means would mean a victory by the Egyptian side. Let's see if Israel would risk bombing the High Dam with nukes, if Egypt opted to strike Dimona which is already on the list of targets by medium- and long-rang rockets. A hydrogen bomb might cause a crater of max. 2km in the 4km Dam, but no significant depth with regard to the level of water in Nasser Lake. What would Israel's untested nuclear bomb do if it were really nuke? Egypt Forces practically proved itself in the 1est Gulf war, but Israel was defeated in the guerrilla war of 2006.
10. Wise man
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.18.11)
There will be no "renegotiation" of the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt. Any abrogation will simply mean that Israel takes back Sinai .... and a strip along the Canal. The cooler heads in Egypt understand this. Woe to those that do not.
11. "Bakra Israel w behebo Amr Moussa"
Serge ,   Montreal, Canada   (09.17.11)
Kind of ironic that Amr Moussa is speaking against the Egyptian aggression against Israel that is fuelled by hatred.

If Egypt fails to perform under its treaty obligations, Israel should retake Sinai.

17. This man Lost
Egyptian ,   Egypt   (09.18.11)
well, from what he just said he already lost the elections because no treaty is sacred as every treat could be modified noting that there is already a phrase in the treaty that allows that! so why not?wake up,you are human just like us and we can renegotiate, plus we are in no war now,why cant we put forces on our own lands ,specially when i hear daily voices from israel saying they want to retake sinai as if its your land..we need to protect our lands from threats like that ,and if we'd like to build investments how would we and you all time threat us?no,we can defend our lands well..
18. Right of return

19. #17;Egyptian, WRONG, ALL POINTS
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.18.11)
The treaty clearly spells out where troops can, and cannot be. Your not hearing any voices from the Israeli government that are talking about "taking back the Sinai" as you put it. All your referring to, is some angry TB's from the guy on the street. Which means nothing as far as official Israeli policy. By contrast, what are they responding to? The constant provocations from YOUR government officials, and the "Arab Street"! Now you criticize the response (from the TB's) to a fight you started, as usual. It's your government officials that keep bringing up the treaty, your people just attacked the Israeli embassy twice!! The last time, you tried to lynch the people inside the Israeli embassy!! What would be your response if the Israeli people did that to your embassy in Israel? You don't need to "defend your lands", again as you put it. If you don't start a fight, do you? Why is it, that Arabs always start the fight, then somehow get mad when anybody writes back a response. The problem is this, 75% of your people have never known war. Those who lived through that time are a minority now. So people like you have big mouths without any idea of the consequences. Your leaders play you like a violin, and manipulate you so easily. Wake up, war is no good for anybody. So anybody now in Egypt, that speaks up, and says leave the treaty alone, will be branded a coward or an Israeli stooge. How simpleton can you be? The smart guys are all laughed at now in your country, how sad.
20. #15 NON-OBSERVER
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (09.18.11)
Egypt still has to go thru the Sinai to get at Israel Last time they tried, it turned out to be a disaster for Egypt, their armies were destroyed, equipment abandoned in pristine condtion, as the survivor ran for home as fast as their feet could carry them Next time, if they're stupid enough to try, they should prepare equipment for diverting the water from the Aswan Dam, which will be destroyed and arrange for re-routing traffic throught the Suez, which will rendered totally inoperative Now for a question directed to you personally When was the last time you "Shouldered Arms"?
