1. AND THE WORLD WONDERS WHY...
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (09.18.11)
.....Israel blockades the Gaza Strip? It's Hamas master is clearly stating that he wants to destroy the State of Israel and hopes that the UN will do it for him. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
2. To all the leftist enemies of Israel
Maurice ,   Montreal   (09.18.11)
" Earlier on Sunday, Hamas official Khalil al-Haya expressed hope that the UN will recognize a Palestinian state not only on 1967 borders but on the whole of the State of Israel's territory. " Can't you see Israel has NO dialogue partner. Stop blaming Israel for not wanting piece. The truth is out there staring at you. They want ALL Israel, nothing less! If you leftists support these people then you want nothing less than demise of Israel. Enough is enough!
3. To #2
Beary White ,   Norway   (09.18.11)
Our leftis government support this ham'ass/fatah government, and also supports the bid in UN. So,we have to say the leftist government and the biased leftist state controlled-media are working not blindfoldd, but with open eyes, producing shit whenever possible.
4. NO PARTNER FOR PEACE
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.18.11)
A BIG thank you is order to Hamas, again revealing it's true goal. The destruction of Israel, period. Any country that votes in favor of the bid, should be thrown out of the UN for violating all its most relevant goals. The world could send an important message to the Pals right now. A 100% vote against the UN bid. It won't happen, but you could send a powerful message to the Arabs with all countries telling the Palestinians leave Israel alone. Israel has the right to live in peace within recognized borders. Hamas refuses to honor any past agreements. Yet it's hard to believe with statements like that. That are said on a regular basis, that writers like Friedman, still believe somehow Israel can simply solve the problem.
5. Reparations
Baruch ,   Marin County, CA   (09.18.11)
Hey, as far as I'm concerned if Abu whatever the hell he is wants to do what he's talking about with a state, then go for it is what I say. Because the moment he does that, I'm sending in my application for citizenship, and if it is denied I'm going straight to the World Court, bay-bee. Because I'm going to use the Torah to make my case for reparations, by God almighty. There.
6. Haniyeh Mashaal - are simply
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (09.18.11)
Paid puppets of their Paymasters Ahmadinejad Whilst they grow fatter from huge money transfers - how can it possibly be in their interests to want peace? They have no option but to perpetuate this status quo whatever the costs to Palestinians. Thats what I call the ULTIMATE TREACHERY And Palestinians in East and West Palestine know this Thats why East Palestine MUST go its own way until as DAY FOLLOWS NIGHT ...not an Arab Spring nor Summer Winter or Autumn but an Arab TSUNAMI will overwhelm these arrogant Hamas traitors and set Gaza free And thats why Abbas and Natanyahu have got to get off their high horses and start negotiating seriously and break this ridiculous deadlock to PROVE thats there IS a better way
7. Abbass cannot make peace with Hamas ..
Anna M Sedda ,   Rome-Italy   (09.18.11)
Haw can he make peace with Israel? Abbas cannot agree on anything with a Muslim like himself, how can he make peace with the Jews? Abbass cannot have a state to be responsible, because he is not able to make a state functioning... This Pali state is a bad dream...
8. Notice whatthe PLO just said:
Proud Israeli ,   Netanya, Israel   (09.18.11)
They noted that "Israel is strong". Thanks for the compliment... Aren't these the same people that are forever going on and on about how weak Israel is?
9. Hamas
Sam ,   Rishon   (09.18.11)
"Earlier on Sunday, Hamas official Khalil al-Haya expressed hope that the UN will recognize a Palestinian state not only on 1967 borders but on the whole of the State of Israel's territory. " No joke? Whaddayasay? Gotta hand it to those guys. They go for broke. And they will be broken.... into tiny little pieces (peaces????).
10. Groundhog Day
Don ,   Nitro, USA   (09.18.11)
Did that old groundhog Haniyeh actually "come out" or is he still hiding in his burrow and sending out notes so the IDF can't find him? It seems to me that by his actions he has already given up his right to walk around in the open as a free man.

12. Small problem with your analysis,Sammy
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (09.18.11)
Israel's enemy's(Hamas's) enemy(Fatah) is ALSO Israel's enemy and Israel doesn't owe Abbas any favours. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
13. #7 Abbass cannot make peace with hamas... I totaly agree!
Fanta ,   World   (09.18.11)
Imho thats exactly whats happening: Abbass cannot make peace with hamas who is ruling in Gaza, but he is aming a bid to the Un that includes gaza. I suppose that a central palestinian government could be held responsable for any hostil action done from its territory. but in this case it would be impossible. not because of what they call occupation but because there is no government which includes both the westbank and gaza. even more, abbass knows that without being backed by israel his government would not be able to survive 2 months because there would be another civil war like in gaza. Therefore I think that this state bin makes a big diference for israel. The only thing is that the israeli diplomacy is not good enough this days in order to make this clear. In stead of showing the pokerface and saying the things clear as they are, that the PA does not have any posibillities to govern a so called palestinian state, they speak as if israel was with the back against the wall.
14. It is lunacy for Israel to protect Abbas and Fatah.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.19.11)
Of the two terrorist entities: Fatah and Hamas; Hamas is the more honest and the more powerful. Though Fatah has managed to main and murder far more Jews than it's main terrorist rival. It is lunacy for Israel to protect Abbas and Fatah, as we do now. Without IDF protection; Hamas would quickly have Abbas and Fatah for breakfast. Than Israel would be rid of one of our most despicable and hypocritical enemies. Moreover, imagine telling Israeli parents their son died protecting Fatah!!!!!
