A proof of why Turkey could not be treated seriously, is Turkey's position on the gas discoveries, which is ridiculous. It claims there are two states on the island of Cyprus but denies the right of the Republic of Cyprus to search for reserves in its own zone. Has Turkey allowed the Greek Cypriots a share of the natural wealth in northern Cyprus all these years? Of course not. Turkey imposes partition on the island and at the same time wants a share of the wealth of southern Cyprus. What a stupid, cynical and confused policy!

Well when your "allies" support your terrorists. US was caught red handed in N.Iraq supplying arms to PJAK.. which is basically a branch of the PKK terrorist group active in Turkey.. killing civilians with US weaponry. Israel.. well also very active in N.Iraq, and the regardless of the flotilla itself it boils down to killing of Turkish citizens and failure to apologize or display any regret.. Iran can not be Turkey's ally, simply because Iran is Turkey's rival in the area. Actually NATO and US views haven't been working for Turkey for the past 20 years.. I mean the formation of a free terrorist zone in N.Iraq .. and labeling it a success.. was a red line for Turkey. NATO failed to support Turkey in the Iraq wars, and has become a puppet for US needs and a platform for self-righteousness.... the same goes for one other country and that is Russia. And there you have it weather they like it or not Turkey and Russia is heading straight on for an important strategic alliance that will most probably be extended with other Asian countries. Turkey has the second largest army in NATO, withdrawal of these and the limiting of the zone that it is active in will end NATO. The alliance above will also mean the end of or drastically limitation of US military existence in ASIA, M.E. zones.. as for Israel, well it depends on them...
