Most Arab nations...at least their governments...do not want Iran to have nukes, period. So their is certainly no shortage of suspects. On any list of suspects, you would have to include to be fair: the Arab countries (i.e. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan etc.), Israel, USA, EU at least Britain and of course Iran itself. Iran wouldn't hesitate...as we all know to kill their own people...so if a scientist was suspected of trying to escape/defect Iran, or even feeding some info to Israel or the West, Iran would kill him and blame Israel. Just to avoid the embarrassment of their own scientist being a spy or wanting to defect. The logic would be, he's lost to Iran, so lets kill him and blame others. That way Iran at least gets some PR value for his death, plus avoid any future defection or info leaks.
