1. whose conmotion?
TA, Israel   (09.22.11)
"...commotion created by AHAVA's presence in the area. " REALLY????? How could the retail establishment be blamed for this? the *protestors* are creating the conmotion!
2. Nobody loves AHAVA
Cynic #2   (09.22.11)
It is established illegally in the Occupied Territories on Palestinian land. It should pay compensation to the Palestinian people for stealing their mineral resources. The Dead Sea is Palestinians also.
3. wow the UK is turning to the forth Rich
ghostq   (09.22.11)

ashamed as an Israeli, that a bunch of terrorists have won this battle! For the Arabs this is almost as sweet as the smell of Jewish blood, what a shame (for Humanity as well, if such an animal exists)
6. Islamic way of freedom and peace
Isac   (09.22.11)
7. Ahava has legal grounds to sue
Deebo_ ,   Holon   (09.22.11)
Don't let these idiotic protesters walk away with even a tiny victory.
8. shame on the london jewish community
VK ,   Jerusalem   (09.22.11)
for not coming up with counter actions!
9. Spineless Brits
Madeleine ,   Rehovot Israel   (09.22.11)
The Brits are sh*t scared of their Moslem population. Not for nothing is Britain known as the most Islm-friendly nation - by Moslems' own admission. If the local shopowners had any guts whatsoever they would h ave complained about the presence of these scum and they shuold have defended their fellow shop-owner (Ahava), instead of giving in. disgusting. i am ashamed to be British, though thank goodness, many years since I've lived there.
10. Not a proud day for the UK
Shalom Hartman   (09.22.11)
Democracy has been taken too far. These "would-be terrorists" - the majority of whom are born and bred Brits should be locked up.
11. Many thanks Never give up.
Salma ,   Palestine   (09.22.11)
Ynet, do you research now, the Dead Sea is in Palestine.
12. I wish there was more Israeli products in the US
Phil ,   US   (09.22.11)
Stupid protesters.
13. When I get home from work,
proud aussie ,   australia   (09.22.11)
I am going to start ordering my christmas presents from Ahava online. I do not like bullies, and do not know Ahava products. But I will be supporting them now.
14. Consumer boycotts are legitimate non-violent weapons.
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (09.22.11)
What's the big deal? There are product boycotts in Israel all the time, most frequently on religious grounds. I remember when Pepsi was boycotted by certain Jews because of their use of evolution in an advert, and Pepsi removed the advert. Oh, and as for Pepsi, I remember when it was boycotted in the USA for not doing business with Israel at all. What's the big deal? What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
15. What do you expect from a bunch of drunks
AB ,   TheRock   (09.22.11)
As long as they have their pub to go to, the Brits couldn't care less about democracy.
16. Londonistan
Seth Greenberg ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (09.22.11)
This is why London will continue to lose its status as Europe's financial capitol. When it encourages thugs to strongarm legitimate business out of the city, it sends a clear message to the world: London is a bigoted, small-minded, provincial town. Take your business elsewhere. BTW, is anyone else struck by the irony that the name of the store is AHAVA, the Hebrew word for love?
17. London
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (09.22.11)
Be London the capital of palestinian state. The few british londoners to evacuate to the Hebride Island.
18. Palestine Solidarity Campaign
tiki ,   belgium   (09.22.11)
Moving a cosmetic firm, doesn't give them their 'state' and it won't! Ultimately the "world will wise up and reckognize these 'Palestinian Solidarity liars & losers ànd their patrons for what they are... 'useless troublemakers.
19. a sign of weakness from London police and brithish
Anna M Sedda ,   Rome-Italy   (09.22.11)
Ahava should have never moved from Central London and a way should have been found to earlier to' get rid of this stupid protesters out of Coventry Garden store endorse by brithish law.. Ahava should have never give up to terrorist either....but have some good security...UK police is just watching Muslims taking over London, this is a disgrace for a free country
20. Hollow "victory". Wont change a thing..but
(09.22.11)
No state...and the fact this has happened in the UK really is not a good look for that country.
21. Britain reminds of Germany of the 1930s...!!
JBI   (09.22.11)
22. #2
Sam M ,   UK   (09.22.11)
Judea and Samaria or the west bank if you prefer is a part of the historical homeland of the Jewish people. For example Hebron has had a Jewish community for over 3,000 years continously apart from a brief period following the 1929 massacre of it's Jewish population by arabs. That fact alone puts a big hole in your allegation of an occupation! By the way the dead sea is in Israel you moron! Get over it!
23. MY STORY WITH AHAVA
Giovanna Ruttieri ,   London   (09.22.11)
I used to buy Ahava products. I bought them for years, asking anybody who went to Israel to buy them for me. Then, somebody explained to me that the product came from land taken from poor people. I felt embarassed to use the products. It was as if my face was burning. Now, I started telling my friends to check Israeli products before they use. The same with wine, olive oil, chocolates and clothes. I felt so ashamed that I used Israeli products for such a long time that I decided to open a group to share my feeling. The group became a net and tens of people are now working to avoid the criminial practice of buying products from Israel. I hope my view will contribute to open the minds of other women. Thanks. Buongiorno a tutti.
24. #14 wrong on two counts
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (09.22.11)
A personal decision not to buy something is different from intimidation and violence. The fact that the UK did not protect the Jews means that #3 and #4 are correct. As for Pepsi, you are wrong: no one boycotted Pepsi, it was the other way around. Pepsi officially decided not to sell to Jews so they could increase their sales in the Arab world. Jews had no choice but to by Coca Cola.
25. #2 Cynic #2
Phil ,   Ireland   (09.22.11)
When exactly was it "Palestinian" territory? There is no reference to a Palestinian nation in history before 1964. This is when Arafat invented the "Palestinians". I challenge you to give historical reference to this "nation" and it's unique language, religion, culture, sovereignty. As usual, it is intimidation based on lies.
26. My Story with Ahava,
Anna M Sedda ,   Rome-Italy   (09.22.11)
I Love Israelies products,I buy them everywhere I go in Europe and Israel.I buy Ahava in Internet, they can be mail at your door for good a price.... I feel my skin smooth and most of all I feel Ahava=Loved Buy Love don t buy propaganda!!!!!!
27. There were weekly Pro Israel supporters outside too but
Carly ,   London   (09.22.11)
the Pro Palestinians, if not Muslims protecting their 'brothers' are left wing Psychopaths, socially retarded and obsessed with Israel, and I mean obsessed.. and all into mob rule, the main leader is actually an AMERICAN. The same 'activists', go to protest at a phone call. So, before you call the British spineless cowards, be aware that the British were out in force to help Ahava but like I said the Pro Pals are just messed up, they chain themselves to the store, they got criminal records for attacking Ahava, they got arrested, fined, imprisoned. This is common with Pro Pal events, whereas Israel fans are peaceful.. If anything we should have (as a supporter outside myself) being even louder and chained ourselves to the store, prevented customers leaving so they buy more and smashed local windows, as that will help?? NOT. This is all on the internet, on youtube. Look up Israel Support Ahava London.. Jonathan Hoffman was the main organiser, top guy.
28. #4 Actually - Jewish population in UK rose 15 % in 10 years
(09.22.11)
29. Deep down I think Ahava wasnt doing good business, they were
Oli   (09.22.11)
expensive and although the protests from pro israel and anti israel every two weeks doesnt help. It is easy to just say we were chased out instead of admiting, "OK business wasnt good, we are too expensive.." whereas the bodyshop sells pretty much the same style goods for a a damn site cheaper. BTW there are no shortage of dead sea products around London, so the Dead Sea business will be fine.
30. #8 We did!!!! its just that Ynet doesnt report everything
