Is it possible this charmer desparately needs Jewish money and support for his re-election so that he can continue his assault on America, Israel and the region? His statement today (for the first time ever), "The Jewish people have forged a successful state in their historic homeland," has got to have the Muslim world fuming! The Palestinian Authority has been doing everything in its power to deny Israel's connection to the land. Arafat said Jesus was a Palestinian and there was no Temple on the mount, etc. They even destroy artifacts on the Temple mount in order to erase any historic Jewish connection to our land.

Arabs/Muslims say because at some point in time (when Israel was under occupation and rule of Muslim countries) they were the majority, they should own all or a big chunk of Israel. This argument is useless for the following reasons: 1. The last Muslim country that ruled and occupied Israel was Turkey. Turkey (the Ottoman Empire) imposed severe restrictions on Jewish immigration and land purchase by Jews in Israel and actively invited Muslims from other parts of the Ottoman Empire to settle in Israel, including Circassians and Bosnians.  As a result, Arabs/Muslims became the majority. However, even then the land was mostly empty as reported by Mark Twain; Arthur Penrhyn Stanley, the British cartographer; James Finn, the British Consul General; and others because of Turkey’s neglect of the land. 2. There is no universal right of citizenship by birth. People who were born in countries that are not based on common law, e.g. Japan, Germany, and France, do not become citizens of those countries. So because some Arabs were born in Israel, they do not get automatic right of ownership and citizenship of Israel. 3. Arabs caused the Holocaust. In 1920, 1921, 1929, after Arabs rioted against Jews and murdered several hundred Jews, the British created the White Paper law in 1930, which banned Jews from coming to Israel. As a result, six million Jews were murdered by Europeans because they could not come to Israel. Furthermore, Arabs, in particular Arab occupiers of Israel, collaborated with Nazis to massacre the Jews. 4. In 1948, when Jordan and Syria captured the West Bank and Golan Heights, they deported Jews to Israel and massacred any Jew who remained in the West Bank and Golan Heights. So Jews have the right to do the same i.e. deport Arabs to their own country. 5. Israel is the ancestral home of Jews. Israel is not the ancestral home of Arabs/Muslims. 6. Before 1948 the West Bank and Golan Heights did not belong to Arabs. Arabs acquired those areas (for 19 years) after they attacked Israel in 1948. Before it, the West Bank belonged to England and Golan Heights belonged to France. 7. Arabs say because of Resolution 181 they own the West Bank and Golan Heights. Resolution 181 was a non-binding recommendation to partition Israel, whose implementation hinged on acceptance by both parties - Arabs and Jews. Since Arabs did not accept the resolution, the West Bank and Golan Heights became No-Man’s Land, which was part of the ancestral land of the Jews. In addition, Israel is a small country; they should not just give a big chunk of their prime land to the Arabs. 8. If Arabs/Muslims are permitted to stay in Israel, they will be a serious threat to the Jews because every Arab family has 10 children. Once they become majority, they will join their comrades in Gaza, West Bank, and the rest of the Arab/Muslim world and will massacre the Jews. For the above reasons Arabs/Muslims should be deported to their own country.

I think one intended target of the speech was Turkey. At a moment when Turkey was making disturbing comments, the Obama administration came to understand that perceived weakness in the US-Israel alliance was inviting mischief, with varying mobs and potentates competing to be the most anti-Israeli of all. But why would this apply to the Israel-Palestinian issue? Precisely because it is the weak point that Turks, Egyptians etc attempt to use as leverage. Shutting this down is intended to communicate that mischief will not be toleated on other issues. The real question now is not what the Palestinians do, because it is not very important. It is what Erdogan will do now that the US has communicated that his aggression will not yield fruit.

Why can't the Palestinians just say the words? They recognize Israel's right to exist and it's wrong to kill Israelis. If they left no doubt, it would give them a much stronger case. Even in Israel public opinion would be affected. Instead they maintain the double talk. They tell Western audiences one thing and tell radicals at home they will never accept Israel.

Really, no matter what protocol is used to communicate the request for Arabs to re-invent philistine (Palestine), the message is simple; Israel is the homeland of our people. HaShem is our G-d, and Israel is our land.

The Arabs are not interested in peace with Israel. They are only interested in how much land they can take away from Israel without giving anything in return. They negotiate and Israel gives them more land for nothing in return. When they are ready to recognize Israel as the Jewish state and end all of their claims to all of Israel that will be the time to start negotiating.
