It will be wrong to cut defence budget .Israel should increase budget for defence.

Cutting the IDF Budget is a terrible mistake. Israel has survived because of the IDF. As the enemies of Israel increase their capabilities of attacking Israel, our government decreases the IDF budget. This is not only stupid, it's irresponsible.

Are people here out of their minds? If the Defense Ministry doesn’t get what it takes to defend the country then there won't be any need for social improvements either – only ashes will remain.

Netanyahu is not stupid. If he has cut the defence budget it means that the army can achieve the same results with less as well. From your point of view there's no limit to the defence budget and that's nonsence. The army wastes soooo much money.

but with so many enemies on the outside of Israel, something needed to be done to not have so many on the inside. I am sure these ex-military government officials know what they are doing, I hope the U.S.doesn't cut military aide on top of this aswell then it would be even worst. Perhaps Jews can donate money to the IDF directly to make up for the loss.

Defence workers get lot of facilities. They get hotel stay in very cheap price, they get cupons to buy things, they get dental medical care with cheap price, they get special discounts etc. I know that these people are putting their life in line to protect us. But instead of all these facilities, give them proper salary raise and do the cuts in all these extra unrequired expenses. This way both the sides are not loosing anything.

Do whatever is possible to bribe the voters for reelection. We need to increase our offensive capabilities, not decrease them! Tell the people of Israel, no work, no money.Tell contractors that building affordable housing will get them tax breaks. Eliminate all money given to draft dodgers, people who make alyah after the age of retirement,prisoners' families and stop with all the aid programs to countries that hate us or are no on our side. Cut the size of government both local and national.

I can understand the budget cuts, especially when it comes to giving 40+'ers pensions, even though they wore a uniform but never left their air conditioned offices. Why not just STOP GIVING MONEY to the "palestinians"? If their ever was a waste, that has to be the biggest. They contribute NOTHING to Israel except misery. Than, with so many millions saved, Barak can go on even more useless trips.
