1. A question
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (09.22.11)
I read her history with great interest. I did not see what she did in her army service. Was she married at the time? Also, what was on the protest signs that got her expelled from school? Were these racist signs? Or something else? Does anyone know?
2. Yachimovich
Orly ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (09.22.11)
I congratulate her for winning this difficult race, when so many of her collegues sided with Peretz. Bravo. I would now want to see Mrs. Livni crawling, asking for co-operation in her quest for power and primership. I hope the Labor party will taker the place of Kadima in the next elections. At leat there are more patriots who care for Israelis, than in Kadima, who only want to preserve their seats.
3. #1 a question to your question .

7. she ask Bibi to give PALI a Palestinian State
mary of Bethany ,   singapore   (09.22.11)
"Yachimovich strongly advocated the withdrawal of the IDF from southern Lebanon" this belle also ask BiBi to let the palis have a Palestinian State... Golda the 2nd? .... yeah, when the cow jump over the moon.
8. a smart leader
(09.22.11)
One of the enduring mistakes of left wing parties in all countries is that they often focus too stongly on issues of war and peace and not the day to day lives of ordinary citizens. Shelly does not make that mistake. While clear in her support for a 2 state negotiated solution she focuses on bread and butter issues closer to most peoples reality and further does not demonize the settlers, haredim or those with whom she hs political differences. She focuses on poolicy not politics and has proven her abiity to work with other MK's from other parties right, left and Arab. One day she will make a fine PM for all Israelis. A good choice has been made by a re-energized Labor electorate!,
9. ANOTHER PARAKEET
David ,   NJUSA   (09.22.11)
10. You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NS ,   Long Island, NY   (09.22.11)
You got expelled from high school? I am supporting her! She has my vote when I return to Israel! She rocks! You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
11. History was made earlier....
Ayeush ,   Gibraltar   (09.22.11)
Napoleon got his break because he was the only non-Frenchman in the earlier plotter committee (Corsica joined France only few years early). Because Yachimovich is the only non-Sepahrad candidate-for the leadership of the 'Old party' (we like copying anything American, for a ME country) and Perets is the only Moroccan in the running, suffice to say that we have known the same equivalence in previous times. That is my personal opinion, anyone who wants to debate it has to look in the mirror....
12. quit the personal attacks -shmirat ha'loshon
avramele   (09.22.11)
I think the anonymous number 8 said it very well in regard to Yacimovitch.. but I continue to be perplexed by the language and vicious use of adjectives, innuendo and half truths employed by talkbackers of the right, What ever happened to Menachem Begin's menchlicht notion of hadar, dignity. I don't know what it means to be a parakeet or a poodle or a useful idiot or a self hating Jew or any other of your favorite epithets and as for calling others leftists --well thats my badge of honor as it was for BG, Golda, the heroes of the warsaw ghetto and the palmach, Alon and Rabin.. As a Jew proud of his litvak roots I would suggest respectfully that we all argue our points with merit and logic not slogans' emotional outbursts and innuendo. And if I now offend I apologize for this and any past disrespect and cheap shots. shanah tovah u'metukah to all!

By and large I agree with what you say. But you are showing either gross hypocrisy or gross ignorance. you seem to "forget" that Israel for more than six decades and continuing is under the control and stranglehold of the Leftist elite, even though their support base is long gone. It's all about bolshevik tyranny. This webpage is, incidentally, also part and aprcel of that very bolshevik tyranny. Prove it isn't if you argue otherwise!
