Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (09.22.11)
Arabs attacked AGAIN, arabs lost FOREVER. If and when the arabs negotiate in in good faith, they could have a state for the people they call "palestinians."

7. Palestine Israel, 1 State or 2, that is the question
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (09.22.11)
...and it looks more and more like 1 State as the Jews steal more and more native land. Abbas will pivot to 1 State at the UN, civil rights, and the vote, in Palestine Israel once he proves to the world that Israel and America have destroyed the 2 State solution.
8. How badly many leaders err as they turn against the Bible.
Jouko ,   Finland   (09.22.11)
The Mid-East conflict is not essentially between Palestinians and Israelis - it is between God of Israel and the world. The world tries to challange the Bible, but she will be ashamed! We will see!
9. is Israel blessed by God
observer ,   Egypt   (09.22.11)
The promise that God made to Abraham in Genesis 12:3, "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." Is a promise that God made to just one person, Abraham. The original Hebrew is in the second person singular, meaning that God is speaking only to Abraham. The King James Version correctly reflects this grammatical construction, since "thee" is singular, referring only to one person, whereas "ye" would refer to multiple persons. verse applies not just to Abraham, but also to Abraham’s descendants, specifically to the modern state of Israel founded in 1948. They say that the promise of Genesis 12:3 applies only to the descendants of Isaac (Of course, there is no mention of Isaac in Genesis 12:3. They often misquote the verse, saying it refers to "blessing Israel," but Israel is not mentioned in the verse either). Where were G-d's blessings when six millions were gassed, was it the Great G-d's blessing that the Chosen never understand?

You have Jordan.
11. Ill advised UN gambit

I don't see how the PA can survive this. Unfortunately, worse is likely to follow.
12. Israel does not need to give back anything it LIBERATED
SABU TAGE ,   NYC, USA   (09.22.11)
"If and when the arabs negotiate in in good faith"...I'm sorry but I believe that's really an illusion. (and an arab delusion) PALs do not have a claim, They never existed before arafat did his "make-believe" history on his "make-believe" PALS... The real claim and the REAL return is "let's all go home... To the ancient/real/actual/proven MOTHERLAND of the PALS... Beloved JORDAN" Of course the Jordan King blows up every time he hears this...He fears them, they outnumber his "tribe" almost 3:1-waiting to grab his throne. Just need to get these ROYALS pushed out with his minority dictatorially ruled, UNELECTED governing family... (further proof of Jordanian Palestine, the "queen" is a Palestinian)
13. If the Israeli government wants, talks can Happen
Mark ben Josuf ,   USA   (09.22.11)
If the Israeli government doesn't want talks, talks won't. At least the US is out of the process. And Bunnie, Netanyahu has to convince Palestinians that talks will have worth since nothing prior with him has had any. Using the US as a conduit is a thing of the past Netanyahu can call Abbas direct.

15. #3 - I'm waiting for Bibi's speech ;-)
michael redbourn ,   Aad Israel   (09.23.11)
Abbas is likely to say that Palestinians deserve a State, but most likely won't ask for one right now. A wise decision. The PA will not accept Israel as a Jewish State but wants a Muslim State free of Jews. The above is a complete non-starter for any negotiations! Even anti-Israel supporters would surely be shocked if this new Muslim State started forcibly removing 500,000 Jews from their homes. And Israel would sit back and watch? Why does Abbas refuse to recognize Israel as a Jewish State? He wants millions of Muslims to return (700,000 left) to Israel but can't insist on that if Israel is a Jewish State.
16. "Palestine" is boring!
Gabriel ,   Vienna, EU   (09.23.11)
Bla, bla, bla.... "The Palestinian people's right for independent state with Jerusalem as its capital" ... The Arab vasall states should finally understand that the Palestinian people have no rights per sé... they, like all the other people, have first of all obligations to respect others. Jerusalem is already an Israeli city with an Arab minority living in an East Jerusalem mixed with Jewish districts. Alone in East Jerusalem 40% of the population is Jewish, so what do they want the Arabs? Israel since early Zionist built a prosperous state from the desert, it became one of the world's leading economies. Do these poor Palestinians think that they can really have a state on the place of Israel? Don't illude yourself, the Palis won't be satisfied with poor West Bank and Gaza, they want to invade the rich neighbor and "re-occupy" what never belonged to them. All this Palestinian crying is soooo BORING
17. Bottom line : Abu Mazen will finesse a way back to the table

20. The Next Step
Adam Neira ,   Melb, Australia   (09.23.11)
The solution is actually more nuanced than the Two State scenario. An expanded and inclusive organisational structure encompassing : The State of Israel; Judea and Samaria/The West Bank; Gaza; Egypt; Syria; Lebanon; Jordan; and Saudi Arabia is on the cards. Like a Constitutional Monarchy/Special Regime set up. The GDP of these eight areas is currently $1.6 Trillion. This can grow by 5% p.a. from 2013 to 2050 if the right command and control structure is established and the right moves are made. All the areas of the General Welfare will need to come under the umbrella, i.e. Safety, Security, Food, Water, Shelter, Elimination, Mobility, Clothing, Energy, Infrastructure, Education etc. This paradigm will only come about if vision, courage and trust building prevails. The universe really is stable, ordered, benevolent and expansive. Violence is not innate. More high level trust buildings must take place in Jerusalem. No matter what happens tomorrow if there is a vacuum of leadership at the top and centre violence will ensue on the ground. The right person with his assistants in Jerusalem will be able to act as the facilitator, host, and overseer of the negotiations. If everyone takes the long term perspective and looks back from 2050 the moves required will be able to be worked out. Time collapses in on itself when violence appears, and when we feel pressured and parallel to this, when we think that time is short we are liable to make rash decisions. Everyone is being tested right now. These are truly momentous times. Boldness is require to unlock the true potential of the region. Prayers for the Holy Land.
21. Honesty : recognise new security needs
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (09.22.11)
Israel has new security needs. It will takes a good deal of time to reassess meaning of fundamental changes: Iran + its terror satellites: Arab upheavals and changes Turkey instability, Syria, and Lebanon , Peak Oil & renewable energy, Food, Water will also play a part as well as the population The Arabs are just going to have to be patient, a trait they are good at.
22. No Palestinian state- it
gambino ,   bensonhurst usa   (09.23.11)
23. Palestine- that was a name of a British mandate
gambino ,   bensonhurst ny   (09.23.11)
The time to get real has passed. The nonsense is over. The reality is there's NOT going to be a so called Palestinian state. These people are enemies of the Jews. They're the enemies of their brother arabs. They must leave Israel 0r they'll end up causing a ww3. Buh~Bye Palestine, Palestinians or whatever you call yourselves. You've blown any chance of peace.
24. 1 state=denial of reality
gambino ,   bensonhurst ny   (09.23.11)
They already have "1" state. Picture these guys living together? Joke. The world will press, sanction, blockade for a 1 state- but, until the world get's it, this is Israel. And, since the world doesn't get the source code, (Torah) they really don't "get it". These Jews are the "chosen people" which means, "chosen" like however you choose to "choose" what it means, but the bottom line will remain. I think the words of the prophets will remain, Israel will be the land of the JEWS. Whether the armies of the world march of not.
25. 1 state? Forgettaboutit.
gambino ,   bensonhurst ny   (09.23.11)
The bet goes on the words of the prophets. There's no 1 state "kumbaya' in the real world. History has proven over THOUSANDS of years, people hate Jews. That's why G-d gave the land of Israel to the JEWS. Same as bees, if G-d wanted shmees, He would have created shmees. Notice how there's no shmees? Well, notice how there's only Jews. And notice how small this little patch of land is? Notice how it was a swampland before the Jews arrived? Notice in 60 years it's the agricultural miracle and economic powerhouse of the middle east. Now, how seriously stubborn do people need to be to think they're going to 'force' a 1 state- when G-d ordered a Jewish state. It's silly. Laughable. But have at it, if you're that enlightened. I'm smiling here. This is quite childish. There's not going to be a 2 state or a 1 state- it's going to be a Jewish state- plus it's going to be at LEAST TWICE as large. Soon. WITH untold oil , gas etc.
