1. Palestinians now threaten the UNSC?
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (09.24.11)
What kind of bad joke is this threat that the UNSC has 2 weeks? Then what they will go home? Declare war? Go to the GA and get what France proposed along with the loss of good will that their threat will cause?
2. ARROGANCE
BRANT ,   Hilton Head USA   (09.24.11)
Wjo do these little PA men with thebig, meaninglessn titles, think they are? Now they're giving the UNSC two weeks and then what/, more violence that they'll enact and blame on someone else. When, when, will the world stop falling for this garbage?
3. This is a huge defeat for Abbas.
Sasha, Israel   (09.24.11)
He could have appeared as the mature leader, looking for a peaceful future. He had all the international backup he wanted. Yet, he appeared as a vindictive and lying. His hints about 63 years of occupation - a way to double talk to Arabs, while Westerners won't mind - were caught. Netanyahu gave a great speech. Underlying our historical rights, yet being willing to talk peace.
4. what happens after 2 weeks pray tell?
bari ,   nyc usa   (09.24.11)
the usual barbaric rock throwing, knife wielding, bomb throwing temper tantrums? who on earth could possibly live with these lying morons?
5. What time is itm Kids? Time to miss another opportunity

6. Abbas says likely to rejects Quartet's peace blueprint
Yonatan ,   Yerusalem   (09.24.11)
no surprise, the palestinans love to suffer, (I suffer so therefore I am) palestinans wake up your leaders don't give a damm about you, your suffering fills their pockets with million's of $, and they only feed you with fear anger and destruction, which can only bring you more of the same.
7. It IS somewhat noteworthy that...
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (09.24.11)
...Presdient Abbas has appointed a new Minister Plenipoteniary with a slightly used , hardly stained portfolio to represent him in further talks. Uggli Buggarr H'al Itosis, also known as "Three Finger Ugh : was formerly Chief of the Palestinian Science and Technical Development board. He rejoins Pres. Aboo Boo Boo's staff after a short stay in Hospital after a "work accident".
8. Who will be the citizens of this proposed state???
Harry Wright ,   UK   (09.24.11)
Will Pals in "refugee camps" inside and outside the territory be denied citizenship? If so, why? Will UNWRA continue to service non-existent "refugees"? This should also be clarified in the talks / negotiations. But first, core issues: (a) mutual recognition of each other, (b) security of Israel and (c) peace!
9. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
Eric.. ,   Israel.....   (09.24.11)
The Muslims seam too have made it a hobby and that means no peace.
10. Palestine
Doug ,   Dalton USA   (09.24.11)
The Palestinian's need to get out of Israel and move into the surrounding counties, problem solved. Let the Jewish people have the land G-d gave them. He will make sure the get it so they better move before he moves them. G-d destroyed the Egyptian army without any help from the jewish people they just needed to trust. I tell you know my Jewish friend trust and watch the G-dod Israel deliver you once again.
11. Impose the peace Quartet.
Michael ,   California, USA   (09.25.11)
There is absolutely no chance Israelis and Arabs will compromise. If you do not want to impose peace, Quartet, or the U.S., or Russia, China, everybody else, then just shut up.
12. The usual ...
Canadian lawyer ,   Toronto   (09.24.11)
What will happen after 2 weeks? What usually happens when a spoiled brat doesn't get its way. Sit in the corner, sulk and take back its marbles. Palestinian version: call for a day (or month, or year) of rage. In fact, the only emotion the Palestinians ever demonstrate, besides eternal victimhood, is rage - now a lifelong event for most. These dysfunctional folks are in serious need of anger management therapy.
13. Fictional Palestine has no P.M., F.M. etc.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.24.11)
Ynet does a grave disservice to truth by calling P.A. honcho Abbas the "Palestinian President" and by calling other P.A. functionaries "Foreign Minister" etc. They are no such things. Palestine is a fictional state and fictional states have no Prime Ministers or Foreign Ministers.
14. PA Abbas out of balance
wiz of iz ,   montreal canada   (09.24.11)
Abbas and the PA plus the plethora of characters behind the curtains have incessantly tried to twist the world's collective brain in a knot . A knot so tight, that it has become difficult to think clearly and put things into proper perspective which is the atmosphere that this group cultivates to further their own agenda of Israel's eradication. Where and how can they , with a flick of the wrist , dismiss the history of previous conferences and UN proclamations but on the other hand implore and demand proclamations from the UN and the world to favour their asperations. This duality of schitzophrenic existance can only bode future discord. When Abbas and his gang , locally and throughout the Middle East accepts Israel for what it is, JEWISH and sovereign then and only then will the ME and the world move forward. Unfortunately they are blinded , exemplified by their constant living with hate and lust for power.
15. Of course he did
Ari   (09.24.11)
because abbas is a gigantic obsticle to peace, like his predecessor arafat. Both want to destroy Israel, in stages.
16. Surprise, surprise
Surprise, surprise ,   Be'er Sheva ,Israel   (09.24.11)
Jihadists playing games with clueless westerners who have no idea whom they are dealing with
17. Terms of Reference are imperative
Muayyad ,   Palestine   (09.24.11)
Terms of Reference, cessation of illegal settlement activity, and a direct application of international law... The Palestinian demand to restart negotiations cannot be any clearer!
18. And the conditions are ..
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (09.24.11)
That the PA will not recognize Israel as a Jewish State and will not allow Jews to live in its new State. Abbas was a fool to announce this at the UN because many countries that might have supported him will now be unable to.
19. They want to impose their terms
Ben ,   USA   (09.24.11)
Having refused several offers in the past, because they don't want to end the conflict, now they want to impose their terms via the UN by this avoiding to take important decisions and to compromise.
20. Palestinians- NO, Israel -YES. who doesn't want peace?
(09.24.11)
21. so called Palestinians blackmailing the world!!!!
tiki ,   belgium   (09.24.11)
Where o where is the LEADER who finally will put these (world funds depended) nobodies in their proper place. Enough already with this charade. It's time to come down from "Cloud 9 to "Planet Reality!
22. Playing hard, Abbas will lose again
Tarbouche ,   Aswan   (09.25.11)
Palestinians have a nack for prompt rejection of whatever's offerd , only to come back later and cry for what they rejected .
23. Wow! Just as arrogant as Netanyahu!
(09.24.11)
24. exacly like school bullies threatening teachers
mary of Bethany ,   singapore   (09.25.11)
... finally Clinton spoke human language not some safari noises: "without delay or pre-condition". dalay pali did and even reject for 2 times in face of Israel's olive leaves offer. straight 10 months of settlements freezes continue to delay any further talk. pre-condition itself no matter what it is is unjust! don't blame abbas, he is doing what arabs always do: blackmailing!
25. 13 Chaim - Declare Oslo Void
Mark ben Josuf ,   USA   (09.25.11)
Carry out the Steinitz plan and de-fund them. Turn the clock back to 1994. And everybody will live happily ever after.
26. 18 Michael - Jewish v Non-Jewish
Mark ben Josuf ,   USA   (09.25.11)
You want a Jewish State. They want a non-Jewish State. Symmetry. They also believe Lieberman's threats. But their real precondition is real statehood without occupation as the goal. That is something you are not willing to allow them. So just void Oslo and revert to 1994 and live with the demographics and the expense. You'll be happy and surely they will too.
27. Proves Netanyahu's Point
Aharon   (09.25.11)
"palestinians" don't want to make peace with Israel.
28. RE: This is a huge defeat for Abbas
Ephraim ,   Henderson NV US   (09.25.11)
Given that Abbas is a Holocaust denier, "mature leader" is a real stretch. Again, the Palestinian leadership reveals its true colors for everyone to ignore - as does much of the world in their relentless effort to blame Israel for the current state of the Arab-Israeli conflict.
29. Bottom line: Palestine is forever fictional.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.25.11)
When all is said and done; the truth will emerge, as it always does. The truth is that Palestine is forever fictional. We will soon have more than a million Jews residing in biblical Judea and Samaria. Israel will be a major energy power and nobody will even bother talking about fictional Palestine.
30. #17 Muayyad
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (09.25.11)
I'll go along with that, let's start from the beginning 5/15/48, when Arabs attacked Israel in violation of the UM Partition Plan, which was the International Law covering the situation at that time Settlements are perfectly legal, unless you can prove otherwise, by, let’s say your showing us where Palestine or Jerusalem are mentioned in your Koran, which would indicate you have some sort of a legitimate claim to the land Hebrew & Christian bibles mention, Israel, Jerusalem, Judea hundreds of times Just show me SINGLE mention of Palestine in your Koran Better yet, what was the Name of your Ancient Capital City, who were the last three Rulers, where can I view some Ancient Palestinian Coins (Not MANDATE money)
