Well, I hope they get the pay and benefits that they wished for.
2. I thought the prayers were burned?
Sean Green ,   Pasadena, USA   (09.26.11)
Maybe I misheard but I thought ever couple of months they collected them all and burned them on an altar. Shinto do this and I know there is no scriptural precedent but I thought that's what you do.
3. The notes are not a sacrifice, and Jews are not Shinto
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (09.26.11)
The notes are considered prayers, and gathered up and placed in a geniza or burial plot for sacred writing. They are not considered a "korban olah" (burnt offering) and in fact "korban olah" and other sacrifices are not offered in these times.
