1. This is revolting and shasmeful!!!
Michael Steiner ,   Bahrain   (09.29.11)
As a child of Shoa survivors, I find the use of "Judenrein" and similar terms offensive. What adds insult to injury is that the phrase is used in order to promote a morally- and legally-bankrupt doctrine of dwelling construction in disputed territories. Ague in favor of the cancerous settlements as much as you want. Invoke "god," security, and history till you're blue in the face. But you have NO right to evince Nazi terminology to smear your ideological opponents, very many of whom experienced "Judenrein" at first hand. I am disgusted.
2. It is NOT up to Obama
Brod ,   USA   (09.29.11)
It is NOT up to Obama. He defies the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who gave and restored the Land of Israel to the Nation of Israel. Judeo-Christian America does NOT support Obama. Congress should speak loud and clear to condemn Obama in playing god on the Land of Israel. Israel should say NO to the scoundrel.
3. Obama's Judenrein Policy
orly ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (09.29.11)
Until President Obama and the European Union leaders will recognise greater Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel, there to stay forever, and the Palestinians will agree to make their Capital in Ramallah or Abu Dis, and call it also Jerusalem as they so wish, I doubt there will be peace. If peace is as important as it is for us, they will act on those parametres. Otherwise, peace is a 100 years away.
4. Italo-Israeli racism
Rob Soran-Schwartz ,   EU   (09.29.11)
The Fascist Face of Israel As Expressed By Jewish Media And The Racist Journalist Sergio Meotti
5. Disgraceful!!
Gunnar ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (09.29.11)
One can disagree with the US administration, and the whole World for that matter, and their policies regarding settlement expansion in Greater Jerusalem. But making a comparison between that and the ethnic cleansing the Nazis perpatrated is utterly disgraceful. And the author should apologize for it!
6. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.29.11)
Oh, shut your foul mouth. You identify yourself as being from the European Union. In light of the fact that all of Europe is basically a huge Jewish cemetery, the very concept of you accusing Israel of "racism" is ludicrous. Learn history -- that of Europe as well as that of the Middle East -- before you post here. Try it again, and I'll slam you again, putz. I will make you cry.
7. To: No. 1
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.29.11)
I, too, am the child of Jewish Holocaust survivors. I do not find the use of the term "Judenrein" offensive at all, since that is basically what Jordan did in 1948 and what Abbas asserted in his speech before the United Nations just the other day. It is also what Algeria, Iraq and any number of other Arab and Moslem countries endeavored to achieve in 1948 and in 1967 following Israel's stupendous victory on three fronts in the Six Day War. Then again, I am not in the business of arranging marriages among Arabs. I have a real profession and a real job. Unlike you. You are a disgrace. Please convert, and find yourself a nice Moslem wife. Or two, or three, or four. Or blow yourself up and claim your 72 virgins and river of honey. You are an imbecile. I am SO disgusted. The last thing on earth you can call yourself is a Jew. During World War II, you would have been a vicious kapo. Don't think we all don't know that.
8. Fortunately ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.29.11)
Israeli policy is crafted in Jerusalem, not Washington, D.C. Please do keep that in mind. It's actually rather important.
9. Obama and Jews
Nadin Horovitz   (09.29.11)
Finally an article that says the truth
10. Once again Giulio is right on the point!
Maurice ,   Montreal   (09.29.11)
Obama's administration is proving to be a disgrace for Israel. The US Jews should wake up nd NOT VOTE for him in the next elections.
11. I think Netanyahu already gave his reply to the silly demand
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (09.29.11)
12. Gilo and Jerusalem belong to Israel
Rick ,   United States   (09.29.11)
the united states govt has absolutely no rights in this matter. Jerusalem and Gilo belong to the nation of Israel, not to the united states or anyone else. obamma is not a friend of Israel and never will be. Peace and safety to Jerusalem and all of Israel. The people of the united states have not forgotten you, but our foolish leaders have.
13. oh yes, trivialize this vocabulary of 1939...
Marek ,   Lodz, Poland   (09.29.11)
sorry but the political issue of building in the disputed territories should NEVER be the justification to banalize the horrible word "judenrein". Remind you that "judenrein" was a Nazi Germany policy of removing the Jewish inhabitants of Central Europe _by_means_ of murdering them ! This is really shocking that in Jewish newspaper words from this type of vocabulary are used for political battles. Do you have shame ?
14. to # 1
Steven   (09.29.11)
You are disgusting, you say "cancerous" to Israeli citizens, like Iran's Ahmadinejad does every day
15. to # 5
Sergio Yitzhak   (09.29.11)
Disgraceful is that the US are asking Israel to remove the Jews from their capital
16. 2 Faced Obama Clinton
Abil ,   Toronto Canada   (09.29.11)
Well that didnt take long
17. Jews Are In Their Proper Place
AlibabbaF ,   Canada   (09.29.11)
according to the Koran. The Jewish home is Jerusalem_ISRAEL unless the Muslims have a new version of the Koran like the mullas in Iran and SaudiA
18. Rob Soran-Schwartz
Alan ,   Phoenix, USA   (09.29.11)
The true fascist here is you, Mohammed. I don't believe for one minute that you're a Jew, especially when you use this kind of gutter language to describe Israelis - or even courageous Italian journalists. BTW - remember that OTHER Italian journalist, Rob? You know, the one who loved Hamas?? His own friends BUTCHERED him! So kindly take your tripe elsewhere.
19. Too bad you find the term Judenrein it means Free of Jews
Rod ,   Fargo N.Dakota   (09.29.11)
I'm sure many people of YeSha are children of Holocaust survivors. As far as I'M concerned WHEN THE ISRAELIS WERE FORCED TO LEAVE GAZA EVEN THE GRAVES HAD TO DUG UP THAT JUDENREIN. Now your ilk whants to do the same to Jews of YeSha.T hat would be Judenrein.Jews have lived in Gaza untuil the early 1900's.Jews have lived in many parts of Judea and Samaria until they were killed or kicked out. They returned after 67.How about if Israel wanted to make Israel arabrein i suppose you would scream like a 2 yr old girl.
20. ynet..
Gabriel ,   Leiden, netherlands   (09.29.11)
should fire the author of this piece, a disgusting person. I have never even read one article from his hand that actually made any sense whatsoever.
21. Obamas' agenda
art ,   jersey city USA   (09.29.11)
In the mistaken euphoria of the Obama UN speech lets' not forget, as Ed Kaoch has,Obamas unrelenting attacks and betrayal of Israel. His demands for building freezes, his rejection of Jewish towns and cities in Judea and Samaria, his demands to return to indefensible borders. His movement towards a "moderate" hamas His failure to acknowledge abbas Judenrein ME
22. sweden should know
art ,   jersey City USA   (09.29.11)
Sweden is allowing its muslim population to drive out the Jews of Malmo. The swedes should know about nazis since they supplied steel, ball bearings, coal and banking (money laundering) during wwII and made lots of money
23. #1's failure to comprehend
art ,   jersey City USA   (09.29.11)
JUdenrein is/was the german policy to rid areas of any Jews, It was practiced throughout Europe under different names but the result was always the same, pogroms, rapine and pillage the extermination or exile of Jewish communities. Just as abbas PROMISES
24. as a child of Shoa survivors....
mattan ,   merritt island, usa   (09.29.11)
when you start off with that sentence, you have no choice but to be against those policies that are used against your people. I find #1 disgusting, your parents should have perhaps taught you better. I guess it takes a nazi to copyright the term 'judenrein'. Our blood has suffered enough at the hands of others, we don't need our own people siding against our right to exist in our own capital.
25. Mr Gabriel # 20
Gisele ,   Rome   (09.29.11)
Fortunately for us Ynet promotes freedom of speech so here you can read very different opinions. Your intollerance doesn't make you honor
26. The Obama/Clinton call of "no Jews in certain neighborhoods"
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (09.29.11)
is nothing short of racism, anti-Jewish racism at that. And, any reasonable person who objects to racism should respond to this call accordingly...!!
27. Gunnar #5 if the shoe fits
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (09.29.11)
Wear it. Abbas has proclaimed, not once, not twice, not even three times, but hundreds of times that he will immediately ethnically cleanse all the Jews, then kill any left that he can get his hands on. His words. He already has a law making it illegal for Jews to live in the PA and that selling land to Jews is a death penalty offense and has executed people for that crime. Something that not even the Nazis stooped to. So how is any different because fascist Arabs are proposing the same thing as the Nazis, please explain. Supporting the "Palestinians" is no different than supporting the Nazis. Their goals are the exact same and they say that they will finish what Hitler started.
28. Meotti's truth
Gábor Fränkl   (09.29.11)
Often censored here, I only say as much: Giulio Meotti is a mensch and Obama by plotting to extricate Jeruslaem from the Jews and Israel has spoken clearly. thans for that! The mask has finally slipped for good! (Anyone obejcting to this righteous article has no relevant, credible argument. Howling the worn-out disgusting epithets won't help your case/cause. Ratther the oppsite: they should apologize for their antisemitic, anti-Italian bigotry and prejudice!)
29. Obama and Bevin
vitenberg ,   France   (09.29.11)
Obama is the new Bevin
30. Trust in US and European Right-wingers ??
N ,   N   (09.29.11)
Who intervened to save the guards of the Kairo embassy? Who stands by Israel in the UN ? It's the current US-administration! And isn't it the current US-President, who's brother-in-law is a Reform rabbi? And doesn't he himself know way more about the Jewish faith than his predecessor? American and most European right-wingers are anti-Palestinian, but I doubt that they can be relied on, should Israel be in trouble in future times.
