31. #7 Sarah B : Jackie Mason of the talkback boards.
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (09.29.11)
You have a knack of getting a laugh out of me, even while discussing the most serious of subjects. Kol HaKavod.
32. populated neighbourhoods he calls "buffers"... for what pls?
eporue ,   europe   (09.29.11)
...."buffers" for the holy sepulchre ?
33. To: Noodles at No. 31
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.29.11)
It's actually a Jewish art. Think Sholem Aleichem and Fiddler on the Roof. Shana tova to you and all you hold close; gmar hatima tova.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.29.11)
I can understand your unhappiness with the allusion, given Swedish collaboration with the Nazis during the Second World War. However, it is obvious that you failed to listen to the rhetoric coming out of Arab and Islamic capitals, and out of the ersatz "Palestinian" leadership about wanting an ersatz "Palestine" that is "judenrein." Obama has said much the same thing. The only thing the author has done is simply reflect on the facts and the historical record. If that offends you -- too bad.
35. On Sarah B.
Gábor Fränkl   (09.29.11)
I join Noodles, not necessarily in the "laughing department", but - seriously - she is a tremendous advocate of Israel and against A-S Obama. I wish you a very Warm and Happy, Prosperous Happy new Year to you and al your family Sarah!
36. Obama you are the best
Itamar ,   Natanya   (09.29.11)
You should feel ashamed, Obama is the best powerful friend Israel has, and he loves Israel but not Netanyahu's policy, which is destructive for Israel, in the past is was Rabin which people like you made a nazi out of him, with him Israel would have been much better of now, people like you means the end of Israel
37. To #5
vitenberg ,   France   (09.29.11)
I make a comparison between Obama's policy and ethnic cleaning Bevin perpetrated after WW2 Is this comparison correct? Or you think I should apologize too?
38. OBAMA AND CLINTON GO TO HELL
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (09.29.11)
39. Thanks
Rochel Savicka   (09.29.11)
Meotti wrote the truth, plain and hard
40. #1.Steiner: You sound like the JUDENRAT
Pali ,   Budapest, .hu   (09.29.11)
As a TRUE Shoa survivor in the E. European ghetto during WWII, you remind me to the Judenrat - (Jewish Council) - which assisted the Nazis with organizing the deportation of Jews - including my parents. As an old True survivor I am disgusted of you, an inveterate antisemite who pests every Jewish forum. Your fake outrage holds no water.
41. To: Gabor Frankl at No. 35
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.29.11)
Thank you very much for your kind words. I wish you and your family a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year as well!
42. To: No. 36
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.29.11)
If he's such a "friend," why has he failed to visit Israel during his presidency, despite making two separate and distinct visits to the Middle East? If he's such a "friend," why has he snubbed Netanyahu on four separate and distinct occasions, while kowtowing to the Turks, the Jordanians, the ersatz "Palestinians" and the Saudis? If he's such a "friend," why has he called for Israel to return to its pre-Six Day War borders, which are indefensible? You are a moron.
43. singling out the jews and telling them, because they are
deb j. gold ,   boston, ma usa   (09.29.11)
jewish, to refrain from residing in certain villages, towns and even city neighborhoods in territories that are in dispute is a form of applied anti-jewish racism that must not be permitted to play a role, neither in the disputed territories nor in israel proper.
44. # 1
Birdi ,   Israel   (09.29.11)
As a Jew you should at least know that we Jews do not write ''god'' but G*d.
45. Jordanians and Palestinians controlled the neighborhoods?
Orly ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.29.11)
Jordan immediately enacted military rule on all of the west bank. At no time did Palestinians control anything, let alone land or neighborhoods. They had far fewer rights under Jordan than they do today under Israel. It was just controlled by Jordan.
46. Who stands by Israel
Charlie ,   Tel Aviv   (09.29.11)
is not Hilary Clinton when she demands that the Supreme Court not include Jerusalem in Israel http://www.nysun.com/foreign/clinton-in-a-sharp-turnaround-warns-against-even/87496/#.ToMKLUP8VyQ.blogger "Secretary of State Clinton, in a sharp departure from her stance when she was a senator, is warning that any American action, even symbolically, toward recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel must be avoided for the reason that it would jeopardize the peace process." So much for the stupidity and hypocrisy reigning in Washington.
47. sarah b(uffer)... dont you live at french hill...? lol
eporue ,   europe   (09.29.11)
48. Obama and Gilo
Marianne   (09.29.11)
Obama is the first US president who made Gilo a problem. Meotti is right: he is basically anti-Jewish
49. "Europe is basically a huge Jewish cemetery"
Yossef   (09.29.11)
From Sarah #6 I so agree. Europeans have no moral right to say even one word against Israel or Jews. They are just the descendants of a bunch of murderers.
50. Jewish Housing in Gilo
DrJLD ,   United States   (09.29.11)
Although I am somewhat concerned about the announcement of this during this critical time, I suppose for Israelis critical times occur every day. I am appalled (but not surprised) at the world's knee-jerk response to this announcement without even looking into the facts. Very little critical thinking goes on, especially at the highest levels. We seem to live in times where facts do not matter, but 'perceptions' are. Our own perceptions are created and biased by our own pasts, so world 'perceptions' are not very accurate. However, this is rarely discussed. It is too useful to politicians, interest groups, corporations, etc.
51. Obama
Debbie   (09.29.11)
Obama has a serious responsability for having incited against Jewish houses and towns
52. Ungrateful and deceitful
Boxer ,   USA   (09.29.11)
The US takes the thrashing from the rest of the world just to protect Israel, yet we hear this ungrateful sentimnent expressed about the US. The writer starts off with lands occuped by Jordan between1948 and 1967. Whose land did Jordan occupy? Certainly not Israel's. Why don't you go back to the land, confiscated from the residents (and which was recognised by the UN) in 1947. That is the legal border of Israel. If I look at that map, Jerusalem is not found within the legal entity of Israel.
53. No 36 Itamar
NYC Girl   (09.29.11)
What do you really know about Barack Obama? Are you aware of his close personal friendship with Rashid Khalidi William Ayres, or the fact that he spent 20 years sitting in the church of Jeremiah Wright...a rank anti-Semite and anti-white racist, who was a mentor to Obama. Or look up Samantha Power who's a very influential figure in Obama's Mideast policy. Some of her proposals to "solve" the Israeli/Palestinian conflict will make your blood run cold. That's why, for the same reason Israelis rightly resent American "armchair generals" some Americans resent the fact that people who don't really understand Obama and are being duped by a sycophantic media that elevated a totally unqualified political hack from Chicago into the most powerful man in the world. Not only that, but some of us who spent time on the far left of the political spectrum could see this guy coming a mile away. And it's why we knew he would be bad for both America and Israel.
54. Pants on Fire
Mark ben Josef ,   USA   (09.29.11)
This is the most egregious lie I've read about Obama at this site. Apparently, nobody in the Israeli government has ever read Geneva IV and nobody that works at Y-Net has read it either. This despite the fact that Israel joined the treaty decades ago. Rather than discuss Palestinian statehood and negotiating borders for the past 44 years, the Israeli government has decided that Geneva IV has a big racial element built in that says "except Israeli Jews." I have read the treaty, there is no such language anywhere in it. What Israel is allowed to do in the territories taken over in 1967 are outlined in Geneva IV, something some politician involved should take time to read in one of its original languages.
55. #47 What is it your business
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (09.29.11)
You're in Europe, keep your usual nonsense where you are What a putz!
56. Bravo, Sarah, bravo!
avi ,   israel   (09.29.11)
57. Mark ben J. [sic!]!
CC   (09.29.11)
You have one tiny irrelevant problem. Whatever the institutionally antisemitic ICRC may say, the IVth Geneva does NOT apply to the acquired territories. Serious lawywers, many of them respsonsible for earlier Sec. Res.s like 242 for example, say this. Your nonsense is debunked from start to finish.
58. Obama's Jew Free Policy.
Elsie. ,   Gush Halav   (09.29.11)
Sarah, Sarah, calm down, you will blow a fuse, if you keep this up, by the way, a very Happy New Year to you and family ,from my heart.
59. Obama Is No Friend of The Jews
Ross Gallen ,   Henderson, USA   (09.29.11)
Let's get realistic. Obama is no friend of the Jews. Hopefully he will be voted out of office come the presidential election.
60. To: No. 54
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.29.11)
The Fourth Geneva Convention applies only to noncombatants. Since the ersatz "Palestinians" are terrorist jackals and have spent the past seven decades proving it on every occasion, they cannot claim protection under the Fourth Geneva Convention. Moreover, I remind you -- yet again -- that Israel acquired Judea and Samaria in the course of fighting a defensive war against Jordan. When West Bank Arabs travel, they do so on Jordanian passports because they are ALL Jordanian citizens. Judea and Samaria remain non-sovereign territories. They do not "belong" to anyone, least of all the ersatz "Palestinians," who are actually Jordanian. Don't worry -- we are going to annex Judea and Samaria and repatriate to Jordan all those illegal squatters. You really want to brush up on international law before launching yourself upon the subject. You may also wish to do a bit of research to discover what parts of the various Hague and Geneva Conventions have been repudiated by Israel -- and the United States, and the U.K., and a whole host of other countries. Ratifying a treaty, after all, is not a suicide pact, and circumstances change. You really need to work on your research "skills." It will help you keep from making a complete fool of yourself in each and every one of your posts.
