1. gas exploration
Sam M ,   UK   (10.01.11)
Israel, Greece and Cyprus has the makings of a good alliance. The turks want to cash in on the gas bonanza based on their ilegal occupation of nothern Cyprus and will once again act as the regional bully to get it's own way.
2. Go Cyprus !
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (10.01.11)
3. Ah, don't worry, Cyprus
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.01.11)
Israel has your back. The Turks will run like stripe-assed baboons. If they are smart, that is. If not, Israel will clean their clock. No worries.
4. ****Sarah***....What's about the Brits, they
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (10.01.11)
still hold two military bases in Cyprus ?
5. Turkish hypocrites: End occupation of Cyprus now!
Steven Gilbert ,   Teaneck   (10.02.11)
6. AP mis-information again
William ,   Israel   (10.02.11)
The Cyprus split was never "internationally recognized". Only Turkey recognizes it while the rest of the world opposes it. Who is AP working for, anyway?
7. To #4 Chris
Mary ,   Greek Cyprus   (10.02.11)
Dear Chris it looks like Cyprus has been the horn of the region here. British are here (without paying a penny upon the excuse of not solved problem) what an irony!! And Turkey whants to be the BOSS on the stolen north piece and a PARTNER of the left piece. In this dirty demands of Islamist Erto British are suggesting we give the (poor Turks ) share!!! So... In all these threatenings of Erto, the theater of UN and EE advise BOTH communities to solve peacefully the problem!!!! This means we seer down with our thief to beg him to become reasonable!! I don't think Turks will ever become reasonable or civilized unless somebody slams them. Where is this somebody?
8. Turkish trap
Anadelfos ,   Athens Greece   (10.02.11)
Turkey fell in her own trap, which was the recognition of so called TRNC during November 1983.Now that valuable gas seems to be found in the southern part of the island, they realize that they miscalculated the pros and cons.If they still want their brothers of northern part to be benefited, they just have to withdraw turkish army out of Cyprus, and let their brothers gain their legitimate share. As long as they remain as an occupation force, this is not going to happen. The era of bullying seems to be gone, due to turkish isolation. And this is what mr Davutoglu succeded with his religious oriented foreign policy.
9. To: Chris at No. 4 (Second Attempt)
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.02.11)
Did not Israel kick the Brits out of Palestine? Do you think we are afraid of them? We can flick them away in a heartbeat. Israel enjoys wonderful relations with Nicosia and Limassol. If the Turks act violently, Israel will come to the aid of Cyprus. Of that, you may be sure.
10. ***Sarah***at 9, I meant, if the Brits will
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (10.02.11)
probably do anything against the Turkish threat...
11. #7, Mary
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (10.02.11)
Dear Mary, my thought was, that maybe the Brits will find themselves in a position, to probably defend the southern part of Cyprus against the Turks...Because what is the reason for them, to hold on to their bases ?
12. To # 11 To Chris..
Mary ,   Greek Cyprus   (10.02.11)
The british allways were in deep love with turks.Never abandoned them. But this time maybe they are expecting share of the treasure. Thanks for answering.
13. To # 8 Anadelfos
Mary ,   Greek Cyprus   (10.02.11)
How true are your comments. They are trapped in their own greediness. But all these days I wonder in my mind, "Nobody so far has told the tyrant, give a fair solution to occupied Cyprus and then you will enjoy your Turkish Cypriots share" On the contrary everybody is silent.. This is not a good sign for me.
