1. Maybe they should move to Makkha instead then?
Edward ,   Sydney, Australia   (10.03.11)
Makkah and Medina are the world's only apartheid cities, by banning all non-Muslims from entry, let alone building religious houses of worship to something other than the god Muhammad created. These people should actually be grateful they're treated so nicely in comparison to how they treat others.
2. If it was a syngouge, USA would have condemned it
Ibrahim ,   Jerusalem   (10.03.11)
It is a petty seriously, what do you gain from burning mosques? did you achieve anything? The mosque will be renovated, and you just achieved in one thing, more hatred towards Jews by this action... Burning religious institutes or mosques or Church or even synagogues should send the one who did into a life sentence in Jail for committing hate crimes.
3. Fingerprints belong to Shin Bet not settlers
Truth ,   USA/Israel   (10.03.11)
Government always does this before they rip good and innocent Jews from their homes
4. #2 my guess
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (10.03.11)
I applaud you for condemning the criminals who attack churches and synagogues like Kever Yosef and Kever Rachel. With people like you there may be peace. The attacks on mosques in Judea and Samaria are Jewish or Christian Leftists, maybe Fatah agents. The purpose is anti-Jewish incitement. In Tuba Zangariya we don't know yet, but is probably bored teenagers who were "inspired" by the news.
5. PA mosques preach hatred, TV preaches hatred.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (10.03.11)
What goes around, like violence, comes around, sad but true. When will these people come to the peace table with sincerity instead of lies?
6. Price tag nutters.
Philip ,   Afula, Israel   (10.03.11)
Its about time these nutters, whoever they are, be hunted down, tried and severely punished.
7. Tuba Zangria not anti-Israel
Andi ,   Israel   (10.03.11)
This town is a Bedouin town mainly, a few of who's residents serve in the army. What a stupid act.
8. Fanatics and extremists
Bertram ,   London, UK   (10.03.11)
Edward, there would appear to be little difference between your views and those of all fanatics and extremists. Only the names and labels change. You all appear to be generally espousing similar sets of beliefs and attitudes: absolutism, hatred, a failure to engage with those who have different views and an inability to empathize with the other. Never mind Mecca and Medina, it is about YOUR soul - it is, in short, about being a Mensch.
9. Price tag?
Just me ,   Israel   (10.03.11)
You know, if someone wanted to start something, this could be the way. Anyone can spray paint the words on anything... Implicating a group to direct an uprising. They might do that to implicate people who want to continue living in their homes- despite the UN, leftist media types and anti-Semites. I don't believe this for a second. If leftists can set fires to orchards, divert water from Arab villages, and do it to implicate others... They can do this, too. Yeah, this is like yelling "fire!" in a crowded theater.
10. Fire could be used for propoganda
interesting   (10.03.11)
In previous cases of fire caused by electrical fault or other accidents they rushed to use the event and blame the jews. lets check whos really responsible.
11. Question marks about who is behind this
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (10.03.11)
Unfortunately, the Israeli security services have a poor track record in recruiting bored right-wing whakos and encouraging them to do things like this. Even if the Shabak is not behind it, the "hilltop youth" have been found to a large part to be unemployed school dropouts who egg each other on. They're something like the anarchists who follow the G8 around and love to wreak havoc and break the law in the name of "justice". Read my lips, readers: the best place for the perps is behind bars. They do not represent "the settlers" any more than the anarchists represent "the left". Actually, even less so since the left is an endangered species in Israel and there are more right wingers than left wingers these days. The cops should do their work, find who did it, and throw the book at 'em.
12. Not buying it for a second. Shin bet did this
Uri ,   Jerusalem   (10.03.11)
13. Ironic
Fay Kay ,   UK   (10.03.11)
The fact is that this sort of incident is highly unusual. It's normally the muslims who are torching and killing. Whilst I agree that two wrongs don't make a right, I find it ironic that the muslim members of this mosque are so 'outraged' and threatening 'harsh' responses. They can dish it out......etc.
14. many arabs know a little Hebrew too!
mary of Bethany ,   singapore   (10.03.11)
many arabs somehow know a little Hebrew words here-there... can't they scribble themselves? Some arab Imams are educated too, can't they teach their jihadist some Hebrew words for their warfare? Can trust the frenzy foreign news-reporters that will obediently lick up every crumbs the PA served on their plate of lies. Needless to say Haaretz sure rush there in a second to gather crumbs for their pali fan-club. Asian-kids also know some Hebrew words for fun,. taught by their Sunday School Teachers. muslims everywhere not just burnt churches, they killed the christians.
15. I keep wondering...
AJ - Raalte   (10.03.11)
... how many of these rather pathetic "Price Tag" attacks are in fact false-flag operations. Exactly as Just Me (no. 9) says, "Anyone can spray paint the words on anything..."
16. Nothing but a bunch of mindless thugs
Tim ,   Brighton   (10.03.11)
17. to #2 mosques r not a sacrad place in Islam
ghostq   (10.03.11)
only Mekah and madina, the invention of praying place as sacrad place came from Chritianity that provide sanctuary to the people inside, and to jews since the shandalier night in WW2, BUT in Islam mosque is not sacrad place, only if its famous Shake tomb. and most of the mosques r not burial places.
18. Bad uncivilized mood. Don't emulate them!
Ram ,   London   (10.03.11)
19. Regardless of who did it....
yonah ,   haifa, israel   (10.03.11)
it's an opportunity for Am Yisrael to stand up and say this is not Jewish and this is not something we want going on in Eretz Yisrael. As an Israeli Jew who prays three times a day in my beit kenneset, I can appreciate how much this must pain the community in Tuba, regardless of who actually did the arson. Because of this I will take my family there tomorrow to show my children that this wrong and to offer to help clean up if possible.
20. very harsh response ?
Marcel ,   Florida   (10.03.11)
Do you mean like Netanyahu and Barak's response to Gaza after the cross border attack from Egypt ?
21. NO "price tag" ?=? Asher Palmer and son
moshe ,   Tivon, Israel   (10.03.11)
"price tag" ? apparently the vandalistic damage to a Tuba Zangaria mosque unconnected to the Kiryat Arba. pal stoning of a car causing the death of of Asher Hillel Palmer and his infant son. Retribution, for pal manslaughter of Jews is NOT accomplished by the cowardly burning down a mosque in another city ! moshe
22. To #17 (Are you a sheikh?)
Ibrahim ,   Jerusalem   (10.03.11)
Thank you for your post, but I am muslim and I know my religion better than you do. A mosque is a sacred place in Islam, where you should be clean when you enter it, you take off your shoes when you enter, it is quiet, and sacred in a sense it is a place where you pray, and where all muslims gather to pray together. Yes mosques are not a burial place... Prophet Mohammad during a war used to say" Do not harm a tree or an an animal, do not harm an elder a women or a child, do not enter a church or a mosque" so i guess it is sacred. Again I know more about my religion than you do. I would never advice in a religion that i am not part of! Regards
23. #22
(10.03.11)
January 1, Alexandria, Egypt, Two Saints church burned and looted, 23 dead, October 1, Elmarenab, Egypt, Mar Gerges church burned and looted
24. Torched Mosque & and @#2
Ilene ,   New York, ny   (10.03.11)
This is nothing short of awful and I am appalled by the comments here. Regardless of "who's behind it" it's the desecration of a House of Worship. If it were a synagogue, you'd be up in arms. And I'm a zionist., And to Ibrahim, you are so wrong. There was NOTHING in the US media when the Fogel babies had their throats slit so please save the righteous indignation.
25. Fingerprints are Shin Bet
Ed Codish ,   Pardessiya, Israel   (10.03.11)
You offer information you do not have. This is a mark of ignorance covering itself in unbased opinion.
26. I condemn this horrible deed.
Bat Zion ,   Central Israel   (10.04.11)
Such things must not ever happen in Israel, where there is freedom of worship for all, and members of all religions must be protected, whatever their faith. As a Human Being abd a Jew, I feel sorry and ashamed for this.
27. 26 very healthy attitude
ALI ,   iraq baghdad   (12.07.11)
liking your ppl doesnt make you a racist ,but backing up the bad ones of them against the good ones of othere ppl is the ugly racisim
28. #5: What Goes Around Comes Around?
Mike O'Diomasaigh ,   USA   (05.04.14)
ya know, bunnie, that just really isn't true, but i would be very interested in you explaining the holocaust in the terms of your "blame the victim" philosophy and mentality. are you of the opinion that hitler's wrong doing (i.e. what goes around) began when he invaded poland? you must be one of the most hateul antisemites around to even suggest that the jewish people of europe were in any way responsible for their own slaughter.
