1. Cowardly act far from the scene of the crime
David ,   NJUSA   (10.04.11)
2. Arab Islamic False Flag Operation
John ,   Alaska   (10.04.11)
People who will blow themselves up in the hope of killing some Jews while they're at it, people who will sneak into the houses of Jews and slit the throat of adults, children and babies in their sleep, people who daily teach their children to hate Jews and to grow up to be suicide bombers, these are people who have already proven they will do anything to hurt Jews. Trashing one of their own mosques in the hope of demonizing some Jews is no more morally wrong than blowing themselves up in the hope of killing some. It's certainly no more morally wrong than throwing a stone at a Jewish baby and wounding her on the head Wednesday before last. People who have attacked and murdered babies are fully capable of vandalizing their own mosque. Israel, you need already to have learned the lessons of 1930's Germany and other times blood libels have been used against Jews. You shouldn't need an outsider reminding you from far away.
3. Jews and Arabs refuse to become enemies
Wenzel ,   South Africa   (10.04.11)
This statement is beautiful! For perfect love expels all fear!
4. "There's isn’t a single Israeli who isn’t ashamed by this".
Robert ,   Australia   (10.04.11)
One only has to read the posts here to know that is patently untrue.
5. If Muslims were peaceful like Buddhists this wouldn't happen
Edward ,   Sydney, Australia   (10.04.11)
6. Decrepit peres wasn't shamed by the Palmer deaths, was he?
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (10.04.11)
No they were only Jews expected to die for his stupid failed Oslo policy he still loves so much.
7. Tuba Zangaria
J.B ,   U.S.A   (10.04.11)
on a completely un-political note, I would like to point out that Tuba Zangaria is an awesome name for a town.
8. to #7 yeah the name is taken from hebrew
ghostq   (10.04.11)
Tuba is from the river Ein - TUBA(I did lil research) Ein=natural spring Tuba=good meaning the good spring(=Hebrew), the bedouins settled ther in 1903 before that they were Nomads, they added Zangaria.
9. something doesn't make sense
aryeh berkovich ,   oakland, cal. usa   (10.04.11)
if this defaced mosque was in a vbillage somewhere in the west bank, i would say that it was renegade settlers. but the location of this attack is far from the west bank and the hostilties between jews and arabs there. the nlocation of this attack, makes me wonder if a third party, seeking to incite trouble, is behind the atttack
10. I condemn this horrible deed.
Bat Zion ,   Central Israel   (10.04.11)
Such things must not ever happen in Israel, where there is freedom of worship for all, and members of all religions must be protected, whatever their faith. As a Human Being abd a Jew, I feel sorry and ashamed for this.
11. No perpetrators accused yet
Ron ,   Efrat, israel   (10.04.11)
Ynet needs to remember that no one has been found or accused in this crime. Stating that a certain group did the offense is merely a statement of Ynet's prejudice against the settler community. If someone else is caught, will Ynet apologize? They never have yet.
12. Bad but not murder
Ilan   (10.04.11)
This is to be condemned but this is far less than a crime of murder. Why are Jewish-Arab relations only worthy of media attention when Arabs are the victims. Does the entire state have to fall under the sway of the opinion that Jewish blood is worthless. Where was the outrage when the Palmers were murdered?
13. #2 John Alaska
mba ,   Israel   (10.04.11)
The beduin of Tuba Sangaria have served in the IDF from the war of independence; seventeen young men from the village have given their life for the state. Your populist diatribe against all moslems serves only the pupose of the extreme (both jewish and moslem). Before "jawing off" do your homework.
14. #4 Peres must be showing his age. Oh well...
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (10.04.11)
15. Tuba Zangaria
Bruria   (10.04.11)
Why is it that a torched mosque (by "Unknown" idiots) has the company in an uproar, but the murder of Jewish babies brings silence--to 'Not Cause a Fuss"? We need to clean house in this country or it will no longer be...
16. Unrest ALWAYS plagues tuba zangaria .
Trumpeldor   (10.04.11)
17. What if ... ?
Z-man ,   Pest, Hungary   (10.04.11)
It was Arabs who defaced the mosque? It is important for them to alienate those Arabs serving in the Israeli Army from Israel. Why would Jews take revenge for the murders near Hebron on Arabs up North and in such a ridiculous way? Cui prodest? (Seneca)
18. Excuse me, but ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.04.11)
... before ascribing the violence to the mosque to Jews, shouldn't we have facts in evidence? Thus far, there are none, and I have considerable difficulty understanding how Jews can enter an Arab village, remain undected, and carry out a vicious act. Not so much as a single dog barked. That tells me they KNEW who the vandals were, and recognized them. It's not exactly as this were the first time Arabs were found to have vandalized their own mosques. Or defiled their own cemeteries. Or destroyed their own olive groves. Get a grip, people. Recognize the true criminals for whom they are -- Arabs. Gee. What a surprise!
19. To: John at No. 2
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.04.11)
Exactly! Kudos to you, sir, for seeing the truth.
20. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.04.11)
That's because Jewish Israelis are not responsible. Check out the Arabs, bubbeleh. They've done it before. They will do it again. They're responsible now, too. No end to ersatz "Palestinian" perfidy, is there? Seven decades of deplorable ersatz "Palestinian" behavior have taught us that much.
21. Idiots nasty stupid idiots, make every effort to get these
Yossi Marom ,   Israel   (10.04.11)
Bloody Bloody Idiots, get them and throw the book at them, they deserve a very harsh sentence. They have completely destroyed Israel's good reputation. Now this will be brought out by our enemies,at every opportunity.......
22. This latest attack was by the village residents
rebecca ,   Modiin   (10.04.11)
Stop screaming "settlers" . The village did this to themselves, and there is a hec of a lot more damage done than to the mosque.
23. #2: These are Bedouins!!!
Tom ,   Jeru   (10.04.11)
These are not people than blow themselves up or anything like that, they are decent Israeli civilians, serving in the military, and certainly did nothing to deserve such act. Someone is trying to intrigue between Jews and Arab Israelis. If it is found to be settlers, I wish them the worst. "With such friends, who needs enemies"? Ahmadinejad and Erdogan can go to vacation, we'll do the work ourseves.
24. Where is the evidence it was Jews ????
WheresTheEvidence? ,   Jerusalem Israel   (10.04.11)
Moslems almost daily somewhere in the world blow up moques . Before all this blame game and self immolagion aginst Jews lets see some evidence it was Jews stop the incitement .
25. heavily damaged??
yosef ,   memphis   (10.04.11)
Some of those pictures look more like destroyed instead of "heavily damaged." Also, why were the police not ALREADY there because of the preceding incident?
26. Rebecca / 22 yes.....
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (10.04.11)
Nobody knows how to riot and destroy better than the religion of peace. It's just a good thing nobody drew a cartoon or misnamed a teddy bear. We would never hear the end of it.
27. doesn't make sense
Ellen ,   Israel/USA   (10.04.11)
The facts indicate that someone sprayed the words, "pricetag" Last I heard you don't have to be Jewish to know how to do that. Then, you have the anguished residents of the town. A very understandable reaction of those who are innocent. So, what do some of these residents do--They destroy THEIR Cultural center,ThEIR clinic and THEIR local council. I would love for one of the lefties on this site to explain this action. I for one is totally confused. EVEN IF the Mosque was damaged by Jews--the response?????????
28. So much for all the hypocritical condemnation
Paul ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.04.11)
It doesn't work. What would have worked is for every hypocritical politician to say "what do you expect, burn our places of worship and you should expect the inevitable".
29. Tuba Zangaria
Phil ,   Europe   (10.04.11)
The name Tuba in the Holy Koran stand of the tree in Heaven. The origin of the name Tuba is the near by Ein Tuba (ein in Arabic means a water spring where the original Al-Haib tribe used to live). The name Tuba came from this location and it is not from Hebrew as number 7 suggests (in Hebrew it is Mayan and not Ein). This is yet so typical of trying to steal even the names. Thus it is Arabic not Hebrew; Number 7, please kindly refrain from spreading your ignorance. The word Zangaria, came form the family name Zangaria (about a thousand residents of the village held this this name). By the way, the village is a beautiful village by all means.
30. #29 Tuba-Zangaria
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (10.04.11)
Tuba was a Bedouin village established by the Al-Hib from Homs Syria in the 16th century. In 1948, the heroes of the village helped the Haganah in their struggle against the genocidal invading Arab armies. They are our brothers. Zangaria was established by members of the Arab-Zangaria tribe after the war of independence. Tuba-Zangaria was established in 1988 by combining the two separate villages. Hopefully the police won't fail miserably in finding the perpetrators as they always do when Jews are falsely accused.
