2. Excellent idea - but when?
Brian ,   Los Angeles, USA   (10.19.11)
This is an excellent idea and long overdue in Tel Aviv. When is it expected to be completed????
3. Why not instead?
FF   (10.19.11)
As I tried to post this on various occaions many times, I would recomennd to completely revamp and refurbish Rabin Square as it is a colossal, monumental eysore for the city, one of the most depressing and ugly places of an urban setting. It's the ugliest city squares I've ever seen in my life ever. Why not put this 30 million bucks to tear down the building (City Hall) and build something eye-catching daring and modern in its place? How can you bear this disgrace???! Ynet, why are you unable to toelrate critcism of this eyesore? Because of its hapless name?
4. #3 is Completely Correct...Revamp Rabin Sq
Brian ,   Los Angeles, USA   (10.20.11)
Rabin Square is an eyesore, but is seen as a sort of "center" of Israel (much likes Times Square or Tahrir Square in Cairo). It needs to be a showpiece for the world! Build some beautiful, ultra-modern and bauhasian structures there! Put up some plasma TVs. Make it amazing and a source of pride.
5. yeah right, times square there, picadilly circus on allenby
morag   (10.20.11)
charles de gaulle street by the bus station in reality, this will just big two or three big tv screens at this huge cost.
6. Atarim
Sagi   (10.20.11)
Before they do anything alse Atarim should be handed a court order to demolish Atarim Square on the seafront at Hayarkon St. A disgrace to our society, eyesore is not an apt description.
7. Renovation taking place
Brett ,   NY, USA   (10.20.11)
Rabin square is being renovated as we speak
8. Ick.
Scott ,   USA   (10.20.11)
9. Just one more thing
Jacob Erickson ,   Holon, Israel   (10.23.11)
We just need some rockstars for the concerts that won't cancel on us.
10. get rid of the main square with that unsightly fountain
Yanni   (10.23.11)
get rid of the punks hanging out there, the Russian mafia hotels there, it's such a disgusting mess
11. Times Square is seedy!
Reuven   (10.23.11)
This is a very bad idea!
12. Must be done tastefully
Michelle ,   Israel   (10.24.11)
It's true what 11 said. Times Square is impressive for like 3 minutes and then you get tired of the lights and noise. If it can be tastefully like in Europe and have outdoor films like in the Old fashion way like in Cinema Paradiso this would be a real asset to the area. If it is just noisy and overdone it will be detrimental to the whole port area in terms of Tourism.
