1. Steve Jobs
TheAre73 ,   Brooklyn NYC   (10.06.11)
As a addict and owner of many of Apple's products I am sad to think how Steves death will effect me personally, I have used Apple computers since 1997 when I returned my second PC after just a few days of use, first a gateway 2000, then a Dell. I figured I was going to give up on PCs after the Dell but lucky for me a friend introduced me to his Mac and a flame was lit in the form of my first laptop computer, the PowerBook G3, just 300MHz at the time, it was still good enough to surpass anything on the windows side, as the years went by my laptop stayed useful and worked hard without issues. Today I own 4 macs including 27" iMac, 2 MacBook Pros and a unibody MacBook, not to mention countless iPods, iPhones an iPad 2, Time Machine and 2 Apple TVs. I am an addict but the beauty is being able to use my networked computers and accessing any one of them wether I'm home or out and about, I stream movies from my home computers to my iPad at work, I work at night as a fire safety director so we actually sit around and watch movies all night with my co-workers, Mobile Me allows me to use my networked computers as a single online server and the technology is flawless, most Windows users think they have the coolest set up but my studio blows them out of the water each and every time, Thanks again Steve Jobs for my great 15 years of Mac use as I am a fan for life, Me, my wife, son, brother and father are satisfied users and owners of Apple products.

Why not deal with other side of the Jobs personality: his widely known explosive "negative" midot or personality attributes and the connection or perspective, if any, between that and his creativity? Do you think Jobs playacted his tirades to get the most out of his teams, and, if so, and that "worked", is that good?
3. from Fox USA web article
Annmarie ,   USA   (10.06.11)
Jobs' personal ethos -- a natural food lover who embraced Buddhism and New Age philosophy -- was closely linked to the public persona he shaped for Apple.
4. Rest in eternal peace, Mr. Jobs.

Not a mainstream person, just a genius and visionary of his times. He broke many accepted norms to benefit our world and lives. Rest in peace Steven, your legacy shines strongly.

Perhaps mankind can take a byte out of the Apple and perfect the Jobs that Steve started. Rest in peace. Thank you for your ingenuity for mankind.

Steve Jobs was adopted. His biological parents were very young when they gave him up for adoption. The couple who adopted him, both full-blooded Americans, gave him their name; Jobs.
13. # `12...finish the story....His real father
Edithann ,   USA   (10.07.11)

14. The 300,000 thousand Chinese workers making IPads
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (10.07.11)
...for 50 cents an hour........doing 70 hour weekly shifts....and sharing several large dirty olympic pools.....love the guy too. They are all thrilled when they finish an IPad worth 50 dollars...and have Steve Jobs pocket 800 dollars for every unit from their hard work. Americans are just as happy being sold a Unit That a guy in China made for 50 bucks.....as they have to hash out 800 dollars for the product. We are really happy Steve Jobs sent all the work to slave labor in China. In factories where the employees jump off the roof to their deaths. But everyone thinks this guy is some kind of saint???? He used as many people as possible.....to line his pockets with cash. That's the real truth that everyone seems to have swept under the rug.

your question is out of context in this article and to the comment you replied to. The guy mentioned "him" to be blessed while he is also not muslim, how does your question can look any more stupid..!! I dont think its possible, you win.. please dont talk about such things in this article, you seem the only one initiating it.

So much nonsense my dear friend. Even making it in china it does not cost 50 buks just for the hardware. pure hardware price of ipad2 for example is over 200 buks it is without assembly line marketing and logistic expenses. And iPad does not cost 800 buks . Starter unit cost 499. So reconsider your facts . Good luck
17. #14 It’s populism, Mr. Wilson
Borislava ,   Sofia, Bulgaria   (10.07.11)
Steve Jobs did not directly enter into contracts with Chinese workers, they have bosses and employers. Remind you that just in China appeared targets fake Apple’s stores. And here are produced goods of famous global brands for insanely low salaries, don’t think it's fair. Here we have "markets", where are offered replicas (most Chinese fakes) of original brands and I'm sure, that there already is sold “iPhone5” in various colors. Steve Jobs received $ 1 official annual salary for several years, and its overall financial condition is not from heritage. How many people on the earth have his contribution to humankind?

Hey Agha Bagha Steve was the brain, as well as, the marketing guy. The only one who are still roaming the Prairies (not priaries) are the hash-head 3 humps camels like you, tarbeeye-sez!
19. Not even self-serving claptrap..
eeziduzit   (10.07.11)
The fact that the author has to appropriate Jobs's secular accomplishments and creativity as evidence of the "religious ethical perfection to which Judaism aspires" only demonstrates the actual absence of such perfection in the "religious" sector, and highlights the misogyny, racism and child abuse instead.
20. # 13 the finished story
Habib Seliman ,   New York, USA   (10.09.11)
As I read in the NY Times or WS Journal the day after his departure.. he was adopted, he traced his 'birth mother' and was in contact with her. He also found his 'birth father' but refused to speak with him. SJ was a prophet. Besides having a picture of Einstein and Ghandi in his sparse early home, he also believed that every person should aspire to make a 'dent' in the unverse' for the better. That sounds very familiar to me us. I lit a candle for him before Yom Kippur started.

Although his birthfather and birthmother eventually married and had another child, Steve Jobs was raised and influenced by his adopted family and his religion of choice was buddhism. It's unclear if he had any contact with his Syrian birthfather.
