Israel is not alone! i glad to know it
2. You have more love and support than you realise.
canada ,   canada   (10.10.11)
It is not just the churches and politicians that are supporting Israel, the average person in the street is sick to death of arab demands. Personally I cannot stomach another photo of someone burning a flag or demonstrating. Their own media war has backfired, no-one is scared, we just want them to shut up.
3. Blah, blah, blah.....supported by nothing

6. You have support
Australian ,   Melbourne, Australia   (10.10.11)
Not a Christian, not a Jew.... not a Muslim... I hate people that use religion to persecute others. I see Israel being persecuted basically for not being an Islamic state in the Middle East. I don't like some things the Israeli government does; but seeing what the Arab League has done to the UN to persecute just one country, has made me a supporter. I am glad you 'have' nuclear weapons!
7. Mr. Bechor forgot one important thing
Eric R. ,   USA   (10.10.11)
That 32 trillion cubic feet of natural gas sitting off the Israeli coast certainly helps. At least the Greeks, and Cypriots have noticed it.

11. More allies.
Jules   (10.10.11)
Evangelical Christians (there are tens of millions of them) are firm in their support of the existence of Israel as Jewish State on the historical land: Eretz Yisrael.
12. YNET is, as usual, living in a fantasy world
christianpalestinian ,   washington dc   (10.10.11)
Israel is more isolated than ever before. Withdraw from all occupied Palestinian land and make peace. Its simple.
13. Canada
Emma ,   London   (10.10.11)
Thank you, I agree. People in the UK are becoming increasingly fed up with screaming, lunatic Muslims blaming Israel for all the evils in the world and are beginning to ignore them and fight back.
14. # 3
John ,   Herzliya, Israel   (10.10.11)
So, did you finish your strike today? BTW, aren't you ashamed, whole Europe is sending you money and you are on strike all the time? Or maybe you feel a bit like Palestinian?
15. Great Article - Only good thing Aust Labor has done!
Scott ,   Queensland Australia   (10.10.11)
For one of the most hopeless governments that Australia has ever had - we get this great piece of law. We over here (in the majority) have had an absolute gutful of the way Israel is being treated.
16. Europeans...
Daniel ,   Netherlands   (10.10.11)
..have never seen such a threat to our culture as now.. almost every country in the EU has an anti-islam political party and politically-correct... Nobody can take seriously Erdogan the occupier of Northern Cyprus and the murderer of Kurds when talking about occupation or genocide of palestinians... Erdogan, palestinians, muslims, better change the message, because so far you create only rejection..
17. simple?
adam haaretz ,   us of a   (10.10.11)
"it's that simple" Palestinians need to show Israel that if a state is created in the West Bank that it won't turn into a Hamas-run Islamic Fanatic Terrorist Training camp committed to the destruction of Israel. It happened when Israel withdrew from Gaza. Why should they trust the PA to not let it happen yet again?
18. #10 we have many supporters, many more than what you think
Daniela   (10.10.11)
19. @3 + 14 I would prefer Israel in the EU and Greece out !!
Neo ,   EU   (10.10.11)
20. No 12 You're the one living in the fanasy world
Emma ,   London   (10.10.11)
The day that you recognise Israel as a Jewish state and stop demanding ever increasingly impossible pre-conditions for coming to negotiating table, is the day we can start talking peace. It is not Israel that refuses to make peace but the Palestinians who are demanding a one state solution. Stop blaming Israel for everything and believe me, the tide is beginning to turn. People are increasingly seeing through the constant demonisation of Israel and your constant whining and claims of victimhood. In short, people are fed up with you.
21. Time to stop recognizing the "Palestinians", unless it is
tom ,   tel aviv   (10.10.11)
us it's being referred to. Stop begging a non-existing entity for recognition of Jewish eternal rights to this Land. End this schrade once and for all. Transfer the Arab population; they have Jordan and they have their brothers' oil- fields to sweeten the blow. Enough is enough.
22. Bechor is delusional & gets his facts wrong about Australia
Kim ,   Australia   (10.10.11)
Lol, its laughable that the author of this piece claims that the Australian government can't get his facts straight . What is even more laughable is his claim that the Australian government has supposedly "decided to make all protests and boycotts against Israeli businesses a criminal offense". The Australian government has done no such thing. There has been a lot of grandstanding in various state and federal (national) parliament but its being nothing more than hot air. Bechor than goes on to cite Michael O'Brien, implying that he is the Australian government Minister of Consumer Affairs. O'Brien is NOT a member of the Australian Federal government. He is merely a member of the Victoria state parliament. As the Victoria State minister for Consumer Affairs, O'Brien tried to get the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) to declare BDS activity a "secondary boycott" thus making BDS pickets illegal but it blew up in his face and the ACCC ruled that pro-BDS activists and protesters have NOT violated any laws and BDS protests and pickets are perfectly legal under Australian federal government secondary boycott laws.
23. No 15 -Scott, Qld - Aust Labor have NOT passed any such laws
Kim ,   Australia   (10.10.11)
Scott, unfortunately you are as delusional and as ill informed as Bechor is. The ALP has passed no such law to outlaw " to make all protests and boycotts against Israeli businesses a criminal offense", as Bechor claims. There's been a lot of grandstanding in various state and federal (national) parliament by bot the Labor Party and the Liberals but its being nothing more than hot air. Its obvious you know little about politics in your own country if you think that Michael O'Brien is the Australian government Minister of Consumer Affairs as Bechor implies.

Ron from NJ ,   newark, usa   (10.10.11)
Hmm . . . interesting suggestion . . . "Withdraw from all occupied Palestinian land" . . . You might recall that resolution 242 never called for withdrawal from ALL captured territory, because that would in effect mean Israeli suicide -- but of course, you don't mean merely all lands captured in 1967 -- you mean all of the land from the river to the sea. Fuggetaboutit.
25. Bechor's right; couldn't agree more.
Ypip ,   Canada   (10.10.11)
26. i wasn't convinced, sorry, we are in real troubles

27. Love from South Africa
Anon ,   Johannesburg   (10.10.11)
Israel gets the support of the business community and the majority of the educated portion of our population; while our government and members of the Muslim community support the Palestinians’ violence (they call them “freedom fighters” – however they have never tried peaceful means!)... As education improves in South Africa - so does Israel's support. We don’t always support the Israeli government policy and the harsh (at times) self defence – however we see how Israel is cornered and misrepresented all the time. Just because there is only one Jewish state – doesn’t give the UN any right to have 50 automatic votes against Israel. I will always support you… all the way from Gauteng, Southern tip of Africa. :)
28. deligitimization of israel on the wane
ROBERT ELMAN ,   Montreal Canada   (10.10.11)
We must not relent.our students, our children must know the difference between real apartheid and a democratic open society like Israel, between Hitlers Naziism and a country that seeks peace and protection of its citizens. Kudos to our brothers and sisters and to the coyrageous people of Australia, Canada, US and wherever people seek the truth
29. Great News
downtown dave ,   Heber Springs USA   (10.10.11)
I appreciate your article. It's good to hear that some of those who are opposed to the Jews are being forced to back off. It is better to be a blessing to the Jews than it is to be a curse to the Jews. http://483years.blogspot.com/
30. #19 I would prefer Israel and Greece in the EU
