1. Ms. Leef et.al. learn 2 negotiate!
(10.10.11)
and please do remember that the Summer Highlands have fallen! We are facing winter time and have no more time for your childish games! Grow up already!
2. I am sick of hearing from this unelected idiot
zionist forever   (10.10.11)
The government set up an independent investigation and has passed it in full but Leef is stirring up trouble because it doesn't go far enough in her eyes. This draft dodging communist doesn't know the first thing about economics or the running of a country. She has praised the Greeks who are protesting against all the cuts their bankrupt government is being forced to make and she wants the Israeli government to either find the money to fund all her social justice demands or borrow. The protestors wanted government to do something, they were happy when Trajtenberg was created ( except for Leef ), the independent committee reported back with its recomendations and despite the fact that some of them are a step to far the government has adopted all of them on top of the promises Bibi promised to make before Trajtenberg but for Leef and the students its not enough and they want to bring the country to a standstill The plan of the union leadership to launch a general strike is proof that the crooked unions are now in bed with unelected protestors to justify all kinds of new demands which under normal circumstances they would not get away with. The students have no justification banning the opening of the academic year over an issue that is a national one rather than one that concerns the student union directly. T to work in a democracy and if the government doesn't take control to end these protests which are essentially fashionable events to be part of and stop the crooked unions illegally taking advantage of them before things get out of hand. If we are not careful we let these protests continue and give into their demands out of fear of losing the next election this country is going to end up like Greece.
3. enough!!!!!
Dana Rothschild ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.10.11)
who do you think you are, dafni leef??? you are not ready for any compromise... you want your way or else.... you are making the life of the Rothschild Boulevard residents unbearable, now you want a national strike.... what you really want is to topple the government.... forget it!!!! and stop your demagogy.... you are NOT the majority of the people and we are not collapsing.... you start to be annoying!!!!!
4. Oh dear.
canada ,   canada   (10.11.11)
Israel goes into labour and all it gives birth to is a draft-dodging Leef.
5. Dafni Leef.
Philip ,   Afula, Israel   (10.11.11)
Learn to play the game of democratic politics, form your own party and run in the next elections. Nobody ,but nobody needs a national strike. Remember it can take 63 years to build a society and only 63 seconds to destroy it. Grow up already.
6. #2 Kol Hakovod. You said it all!
Ellen ,   Israel/USA   (10.11.11)
7. Leaf & her crowd are state enemies
Mark Klein, MD ,   Oakland, Ca   (10.11.11)
Israel must adhere to budgetary discipline. The government has no more financial wiggle room. America's rescue of the Israeli economy in the 1980s will not be repeated.
8. Perhaps This IDIOT Should Spend Some TIme in US
EZRA THE PROUD JEW ,   USA-ISRAEL   (10.11.11)
This "protest", much like "occupy wallstreet" is incoherent, unintelligent, Marxist and AIMLESSLY POLITICALLY MOTIVATED. If this moron and her followers think things are so bad, perhaps they should spend Some time in the US where 10 times the entire population of Israel is UNEMPLOYED, the cost of living is twice the cost of the minimum wage and every baby that is born now in America is already $58,000 in debt! Israel has it MUCH better than the US and the VAST majority of the world! And still this spoiled BRAT wants more!!!? Nah, she just wants ATENTION like a baby! Get a clue Leef! You're destroying Israel and Jewish Dignity!!!! Enough of this WHACK JOB!!!
9. Enough

10. Great Planning, Topple Milleikowsky!
Nour ,   One State   (10.11.11)
11. On October 1st, they threatened violence,
Devorah   (10.11.11)
www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4129516,00.html This threat, and Ms. Leef's tripe about her "suffering" and that the government should be "anxious" about it, parallels the whining of the "palestinians." And it appears as though Ms. Leef and her gaggle of clowns have the same objective in mind which is to destabilize, if not destroy, the Israeli government at any cost, even through violence. Sounds familiar.
12. Simply Don't...
withlove ,   Israel   (10.11.11)
Simply don't strike and don't demonstrate - in order to hand out money, you must have some first. Basics of economy, perhaps some students might want to study that part first? And strikes hurt the strikers the most.
13. HOLOCAUST BASIS FOR ISRAEL
David ,   NJUSA   (10.11.11)
REMEMBER PRIORITY
14. Left against Right.. Wrong against Right...................
ASHER ,   NY,USA   (10.11.11)
15. stupid people
fad egypt   (10.11.11)
i am sorry to say that but what they are doing now is the destruction of israel from within they are pressuring the PM to do what he cant do they want from him to increase the budget and to cut more and more from the defensive budget in these terrible times it will be a problem if the IDF has no resources to develop itself the IDF still needs more tanks and more APCs , the IAF needs more F35 or F16 planes , the navy needs more money to develop itself , and that beside the missiles defensive systems , also when these strikes go ahead they are paralyzing the state more and more and each one is protesting to get what he wants for example the doctors , the teachers and so on i am living in egypt and i want to say that my economy is collapsed and the country is in chaos beccause of the demonstrations and the protest even the christian protest which happened yesterday and was crushed by the army was useless because these demonstration are just a waste of time and cause paralysis to the country shalom
16. Radical chic is neither radical nor chic

21. Look at what Israel spends on security. If it had listened
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (10.11.11)
Rabbi Kahane and transfered the arabs the world would have screamed and moaned but the fortune spent on security would have built the country and these protesters would not be out there planning a strike.
22. Send her to Gaza
David M.   (10.11.11)
And let her protest there. Who does this arrogant and ignorant woman thinks she is?
23. War is Coming
Joe Tango ,   USA   (10.11.11)
It does not take a rocket scientist to realize that this is all being orchestrated to overthrow the current Israeli government. It does not take a rocket scientist to realize this is all being controlled by forces outside of Israel. Let's look at a proof. Look at the Arab Spring and disastrous results of these protests around the Arab world. Who is pushing for all those revolutions? Look at the current demonstrations being held in United States under occupied Wall Street. Who is controlling and planning those demonstrations. We all know it's the United States doing a lot of the planning and implementing these demonstrations. At least that is my opinion. Take a look at the website for the US government website for MEPI take a look at some the countries they are involved with including Israel and the organizations they are working with.
24. I wonder if Obama is behind this.
Gavin ,   USA   (10.11.11)
25. Oh the sweet& intoxicating taste of POWER! Even a 5 year old
tom ,   tel aviv   (10.11.11)
child recognizes this. The ''leaders'' being somewhat older than that are already under it's spell. Now they want YOU to act, in your own good (of course), so they can bring their glorious revolution to the masses and free us from the evil capitalism. You know what? Looking around in the world and seeing a wave of imbecility hit the populations the LEADERS might just be in luck, us Israelis are particularly dumb as a collective! me think
26. Social protesters to launch 'nation's strike'
Yonatan ,   Minimum Wage   (10.11.11)
not surprised after all it's the leftist who taught the Palestinians that concessions is a sing of weakness
27. Protest yes, bringing down the government, no!
noa ,   israel   (10.11.11)
28. The Media should pay a price.
Ron M ,   Tel Aviv   (10.11.11)
Now were are going have strikes? These leftwing ideologues are going to divide this country, and for what? Their vague notions, and no solution ideas? Channel 2, 10, Ynet, Maariv - it's them that sold us this crap, pounded it into everyone's face 24 /7 for weeks on end.. Turning these activists into plastic media heroes. I'm tired of it. We have anough hardships here without having to CREATE more, with unrest, and political instability, and strikes, and new deficits, and defense cuts. These are professional activists. It's enough. It's a new year, I want leef and the student activisits to go away, leave us some damn peace. Some quiet.
29. me?
David ,   Haifa Israel   (10.11.11)
i do not agree with these left wibg torah hating facists... i will not strike... i have a family... rent... children... i will work. cant afford tel aviv? move or get a better paying job. insolent children!
30. Kol HaKavod!
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (10.11.11)
Speak your mind. Stand up for what you know is right. The right has a very big voice here in Israel, and this struggle represents the majority. Don't let the narrow minded, and self-serving control our direction and destiny. To Dafne, and her followers: the future lies with you. Your significance is reflected by all of the anxiety voiced here. If yours' was not a legitimate fight, nobody would be listening!
