I am truly sickened at this deal. Many many more Isrealis will be paying with their lives for this disaster. Look around and try to guess who will be the next victim. Sad pathetic people led by fools. Disgusting loser people.

Avi ,   BELGIUM   (10.12.11)
The deathpenalty (the true punishment) that they desreve, would solve a lot of problems, no kidnapping because the terrorist that they want back are dead! But Israel is afraid that this news will portray them as a murderer nation...what they don't understand is that those who hate Israel already sees Israel as a murderer country!
5. Supreme Court is rotten, allows for minimal ability to
Hippocrates ,   earth   (10.12.11)
harm terrorists. if a terrorist shoots a mother and children, for instance, and is then wounded. he can't be killed, he has to receive medical attention. what kind of Bullhockey is that? The people can't be held down forever o non elected so called rulers and judges...

Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (10.12.11)
Israel has never served justice and killed released terrorists. They live out their lives with their families, supported with generous pensions paid by Fatah. Each one inspires tens or hundreds of disciples who aspire to murder Jewish children. Sadly Israel will never follow Obama's use of Shamir's and Rabin's plan: you never capture terrorists even if they are unarmed and surrender: you kill them "no Bagatz and no Betselem"
7. If it were your son and what other nation
Ghilmeini ,   Western west waziris   (10.12.11)
There are things about the deal I do not like: the price is too high and releasing your murderers encourages more such behavior. But here is what I like- the Israeli army always brings home it's men. This is a sacred promise made to the troops, only Ron Arad is unaccounted for. The Palestinians think this is a victory that they got much, no proved one Jew is worth a thousand of their ' heroes' so in this respect the deal is ok. But what is not ok is wars Israel has fought with uncertain outcomes, the next war must be fought to total victory- you destroy the enemy and sit the defeated leader in front of the camera and make them sign articles of unconditional surrender recognizing Israel and their humiliating defeat.
8. the headline here fails the "Buzagolo Test"
(10.12.11)
Two dead sephardi soldiers versus one dead Ashkenazi soldier and to whom do you people give the headline? To the dead Ashkenazi of course! Shame on you!
9. the flip side
Jared ,   Stillwater   (10.12.11)
Settlesrs and IDF never pay a price for killing civilians!
10. Best Argument For the Death Penalty for Terrorists
Airborne ,   Washington DC   (10.12.11)
Israel has a death penalty on the books for terrorists but doesn't use it. For example, the surviving Japanese Red Army gunman who killed many in the Lod Airport attack years ago was released in an earlier prisoner swap. Israel should execute these terrorist killers for whom there is incontrovertible evidence of their crimes. That also would eliminate with certainty the chance that they'll be the price for a future prisoner release.

Shame on you ! War monger.
12. redeming captives
Julia ,   USA   (10.12.11)
How many times in the Yom Kippur services did we read about God redeming captives. Well, as humans we are empowered and expected to be, God's helpers- and this was a chance to do so. Israel opted to save Gilad and take every possible caution to avoid future deaths including reserving the right to do targeted assinations on any freed prisoner who acts out terrorism in the future. Although it is extremely upsetting to release a terrorist -we have a life to save, a prisoner to redeem, here and now.

Mike Shore ,   Dallas, USA   (10.12.11)
I hope Israel will plant a chip under the skin of the soon to be released killers so they could be tracked via GPS. Wouldn't that be great.
