i hope israel will end them once and for all this time and have no more problems, forget the un and their false peace
2. fools are those..
nospam   (10.13.11)
..who trade an irrevocable real estate ownership for a revokable promises. Idiots are those who repeat it again and again, despite seeing that it does not work. They should have no role in running a country.
3. Excuse me, but the Supreme Military Council
Ypip ,   Canada   (10.13.11)
isn't exactly in control of Egypt, including Cairo, let alone the Sinai.
4. Planes patrol Sinai without Israel's consent
Al ,   Georgia, U.S.   (10.13.11)
I guess Barak need to apologize again... When did it happen that Israel became such a pathetic loser? Pals capture a soldier, Israel responds by releasing 1,000+ terrorists; Egypt violates an agreement, Israel issues an apology. Have you guys completely lost your minds?
5. They should have done this years ago..
Chris.B ,   Australia   (10.13.11)
then the Sinai wouldn't be the lawless place it is today. Maybe they can use the planes to buzz the Knesset and say hello.
6. Egyptians getting their pride back - Get use to it ,...

7. Israel must not accept this violation
Frank ,   Canada   (10.13.11)
8. Thank you barak
fad egypt   (10.13.11)
thank you barak for your apology , by what you did egypt now can do what it wants and at the end israel is the one who pays , by your weakness , egypt is trying to bring israel on its knees and of course thanks to obama who supported the military council against his ally mubarak and after what barak had done , would egypt apologize to israel over the embassy incident ?? of course not netanyahu and barak must go shalom
9. Egypt and the Arab Spring
Arn ,   Yehud, Israel   (10.13.11)
The Arab Spring, for Egypt, means it can spring on Israel an exchange of 80 prisoners for 1 innocent if mindless hostage. It can spring new terms for the supply of gas - their original signed agreement not worth the paper it was written on. And now it would spring it's air force over Sinai and damn all the signed agreements with Israel. Arafat, by way of contrast, was a model of integrity. Unlike the Egyptians he refused to sign any agreement with Israel that he had no intention of keeping.
10. Go Barak, go and make a new apology
Paul ,   Israel   (10.13.11)
11. Nearly equal to the 'Palestinians'
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (10.13.11)
On treaty violations. About the only provision that the Egyptians haven't violated is an all out attack, otherwise they have violated every other provision of the peace treaty.
12. "it's our land" - goodbye peace treaty!
tom ,   toronto, canada   (10.13.11)
13. Just watch& learn. Actually we're not capable of learning,
tom ,   tel aviv   (10.13.11)
as shown recently. A nation that frees thousands of murdering Arabs for one individual has long ago lost it's will to live. Egypt is just capitalizing on the percieved weakness of the Zionist enterprise. You know what: they're right. Really!
14. As a matter of fact...
z ,   Israel   (10.13.11)
You do need permission. Claiming that you are going to honor the peace deal means following it according to its points, which includes no war planes over the Sinai!
15. Breach of Law
Samuel ,   Israel   (10.13.11)
All the present & past Presidents,Prime Ministers of US,Britain,France,Germany,Italy,Canada,Russia,China& India & the Dummy UN should be informed immediately. This only proves as to how much you can trust the Arabs/Muslims & the world for endorsing a peace agreement.Open up your eyes stupid fools, open up!!!
16. But do they have the guts to violate the border? Doubtful !!
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (10.13.11)
17. NOT TO WORRY
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (10.13.11)
Barak will apologise to the egyptians.
18. What's the problem?
Gregg ,   Haifa, IL   (10.13.11)
Israel never asks for permission to enter Lebanon's airspace ! And Israel does it almost everyday ! As well as Israel doesn't ask for permission when patrols run on the Egyptian borders...
19. Another brick in the wall
Yael Schlichting ,   Raubling - Germany   (10.13.11)
Israel must boost it's readiness to win an all out war with it's Arab neighbors! And! Israel must be prepared to drop its restraint against Arabs since they would not have any restraint against us. Our survival will be decided by our readiness to let them pay the ultimate price!
20. #18 - All is now in Israel's favor ;-)
michael redbourn ,   arad israel   (10.13.11)
The peace treaty with Egypt wherein Israel returned the Sinai to Egypt specifies what areas Egypt can enter and cannot. Don't agreements matter to you? Hezbullah is now a member of the Lebanese government and is sworn to Israel's destruction so if Israel wants to check what it's doing then so be it. I expect Israel to take back the Sinal quite soon. When would be a better time? Egypt is in chaos ;-) Syria is in chaos ;-) Other Muslim countries are in chaos. All is now in Israel's favor.
21. Egypt in the Sinai
daweasel ,   atlanta, ga   (10.13.11)
Come on Netanyahu, many people in this country view you as the last great hope of humanity. Don't disappoint us please. Be the man and put an end to the growing anti-semitism that hides behind the facade of the 'Arab spring'.
22. Foolish people
Joel Weltman ,   Crown Heights   (10.13.11)
The Egyptians continue to believe in their own myth of being a competent military powerhouse in the region. Looks like the IAF will have to get the Egyptian Air Force roundel stencils used to paint and display a Egyptian aircraft kill on its Sufas and Ra 'ams' noses out of storage --- What a bunch of putzim these pathetic, hapless, directionless people are. I feel sorry for them.
23. re:Greg
Attilashrugs ,   Simsbury USA   (10.13.11)
Why, Greg, do you think Israel may enter Lebanon's airspace? For the scenery? Or to legitimately keep an eye on Hezbollah, which operates independently of Lebanon's governing body. Hezbolistan, an Iranian proxy has tens of thousand of rockets none of which are useful in military to military conflict (lack of accuracy), but can hit population centers. The Treaty signed by Sadat made Sinai a demilitarized zone. Israeli patrols along its order with it are legitimate operations. What about this is hard? Jews, refusing to passively be herded into camps?
24. Egypt overflies Israel without permission
ObamaIsGoshAwful ,   Marion & USA   (10.13.11)
The Muslim Brotherhood is in charge of Islamist policy in the middle East now and it will resume the campaign of destruction against Israel as sure as the Sun will rise tomorrow.

26. Sinai
Don Schreiber ,   US   (10.13.11)
Never surrender your land to your enemies. Not in Judaea, not in Samaria, not the Golan. Not one inch. Never give in to your enemies. Never capitulate or appease. You know better.
27. Egypt not subordinate to Israel
Mike Lueders ,   Lakewood, OH   (10.13.11)
More evidence that Israel is going to have to learn to get along with it's neighbors if it wants to continue to exist. The US can't even win its own wars, we won't be there to assist if Israel steps out of line.
28. Jimmy Carter's Peace - a joke!
Dan ,   Freehold, NJ   (10.13.11)
Israel now has every right to retake the Sinai. This failed treaty by Jimmy Carter, who is the father of Jihad as his nonactions during the Iran Hostage Crisis gave every terrorist new boldness, is a joke that is now finished. No more land giveaways.
29. this time our DM not only sleeps while Egypt crosses Suetz
Miron ,   Miron   (10.13.11)

30. 1973 - Egypt Lost
Daylon Brady ,   San Antonio, TX USA   (10.13.11)
Egypt lost control of the Sinai in 1973 after invading Isreal. Isreal agreed to partly withdrawal from the Sinai as part of the 1979 agreement. The Sinai is an important buffer for Isreal agains future attacks from Egypt.
