geepee ,   Israel   (10.17.11)
The only comfort we can get from this difficult deal is to see them as polluters of the very air we breathe and that removal from our own soil is in itself a cleansing of it.

NYC Girl   (10.17.11)
Fatah, Hamas, PFLP...it's all the same shit.. They only vary by degrees, but basically there isn't much of a difference between them. And as far as how the Arabs view Israeli soldiers, you need to ask yourself if there would even be a need for those soldiers if it weren't for the murder and mayhem being wrought on innocent Israeli civilians by people who can't live in peace with anybody...not even each other.
33. 27 Since when is Gaza normal society?
(10.17.11)
34. Leila Khaled was not Fatah
humhum   (10.17.11)
She was PFLP. Says a lot about the Institute of National Security Studies. And anyone who's familiar with Palestinian society knows full well that nobody could ever compare with Leila Khaled in terms of symbolic heroism for the cause.
35. What awaits her?
steve from raleigh   (10.17.11)
A job with the BBC.
36. To: No. 34
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.17.11)
You find her to be a "symbolic heroine for the cause?" Doesn't say much about you. In your stead, I'd find a more worthwhile cause.
37. @ 26
Tanya ,   AUCKLAND   (10.17.11)
you state 'have you ever imagined how arabs see Israeli soldiers' i imagine they see them how they have been taught in their schooling and home life....as the monsters who stole their land and kill their innocent children...and all the other vile propaganda they are taught, Perhaps if they were taught the true historical importance of Jews in the region, in fact if they were taught the truth full stop, they would not have to view Israelis as Monsters as you put it! It is not Israelis murdering innocent children and woman, and celebrating in the streets when they do so. the Arabs are a culture among themselves and will always be war mongering and bloodthirsty ... it will continue generation after generation until they are taught the truth, and even then i truly doubt there would be any change in their ways, Islam is not a forgiving or peaceful religion and in the hands of extremists it is down right vicious.

I completely agree. From sabra and shattilla to the 2009 war on children in gaza
39. M E still so far from Peace
Sabra ,   Zinzibar   (10.17.11)
As if Shalit a member of charity association working with Madre Teresa on the border of Gaza and not in a tank that kills kids and civilians

Anna ,   Montreal, Canada   (10.17.11)
What is your point? Not every Arab went through the Israeli prison. And those who did fully deserved their punishment. The fact that Amina Muna is cruel with her inmates says precisely about her pathological condition. Arabs kill in all cold-blood each other, their wives, sisters and daughters, gays and infidels. They celebrate with sweets each successful act of terror, and the families of perpetrators of these acts receive payment in cases when a terrorist dies. These facts are well documented and easily verified. One can think it's understandable and excusable if the cause of the terrorism liberation from the occupation, etc... But it's not. Gaza is free of Jews. There is no occupation by Jews. But desire to kill them, to destroy Israeli society is a main source of existence for Hamas and others. They get their economy run by the smuggled arms, products and charitable donations. The same happens in PA ruled by Fatah. The difference is only that for now Fatah recognized by Israel, US and EU as a partner in peace negotiations, Fatah receives monetary support from every possible source to justify its existence. Do the negotiate?

She will be punished by g-d !
42. What awaits Muna in Gaza?
A ,   Belgium   (10.17.11)
Who cares? As long as it is painful, deadly and has "Made in Israel" written on it.
43. May she receive her just deserts!
(10.17.11)
44. #10 - that's the entire "Palestinian" population...
William ,   Israel   (10.17.11)
not just the two of these women terrorists.
45. #6 Bill
Vlad   (10.17.11)
It's not Israel's business what these terrorists do to each other. The more they suffer, the better.
46. @29 and others
Michelle   (10.17.11)
I remember seeing the lynching of Israeli soldiers on a screen. It must have been on TV because I did see it. At the time it was happening the scene didn't register with me and it is even possible it was probably just another Movie. But I distinctly remember seeing it, and if I am correct, I believe the young men were thrown to the hysterical crowds from a 1st. floor old building. I could even draw the entire scene now.
47. #26 - yes, there is a conflict going on...
William ,   Israel   (10.17.11)
so why do people like you justify and glorify the actions of these terrorists but decry the actions of Israeli soldiers, if both sides view the others as "monsters"? And this is hardly a fair comparison as you assume "Palestinians" come from the same mindset as Westerners. These same who see "Israeli soldiers as monsters" also see Arab terrorists as "freedom fighters", they see unarmed, underaged Israelis as "targets", they see suicide attacks on families with kids as "self-defense" and they view an 18-year-old "Palestinian" with an RPG as a "civilian youth". Clearly, these people have their own agenda and definitions which are largely separate from reality. Therefore, no one cares nor takes as credible their opinions.
48. #34 - "symbolic heroism" as compared to REAL heroism?
William ,   Israel   (10.17.11)
Clearly, the Freudian slip has revealed much in Leila's worth and "Palestinian" society as a whole.
49. #38 - you just proved #37's point
William ,   Israel   (10.17.11)
by spouting manipulation of facts and repeating lies that fit your racist agenda. Learned in school or via Arab TV, it's all the same crap. Sabra and Shattilla - committed by Christian Lebanese forces, not by Israel. Not condoned by Israel. Not planned by Israel. Hence, the reason why Sharon nor Israel were ever implicated for this crime. Doesn't it bother you that while your racist tirades against Jews the real criminal is a free man in Lebanon and living a good life?? Cast Lead 2009 - Hamas already admitted that less than 400 people killed were civilians (the rest were terrorists from Hamas) and only a portion of that were kids. Again, you do them a disservice by repeating lies because the truth hurts your cause. To let Arab criminals roam free, to accept and justify children being used as human shields by Hamas is a great honor, as long as it helps your agenda of vilifying Israel and Jews. I believe they call that - RACISM, and is equally a mental deficiency that seems to be shared among the Arab populace
50. #39 - why do terrorists use human shields?
William ,   Israel   (10.17.11)
Not really our concern as the Geneva Convention rescinds civilian protection for those who take part in military operations. Clearly, toddlers in an Israeli kindergarten, the target of many Gazan rockets, are not taking part in military actions (though "Palestinians" claim such an attack on a school is "sef-defense"), while Hamas admits that many women and children rush to protect their "valiant fighters" with their bodies which is part of the definition of "taking part in military operations". That withstanding, not even the Goldstone report had claimed Israel targets civilians and kids, yet numerous reports have charged Hamas with that act. What say you?
51. Salma - why are you so quiet on this story?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (10.17.11)
The truth is hard to accept, isn't it, Salma? Here is another example of a Palestinian woman who is proud that she murdered an innocent young kid. Is she your heroine too? Just like what you, Salma, call the other "heroes" in Israeli prisons like the Awads?
52. @Michelle #46 - Ramallah
Elle ,   Canada   (10.17.11)
Yes, an Italian film crew managed to get footage of the Ramallah incident and it was televised, but the rabid mob threatened/beat other journalists who were attempting to document the incident and destroyed their cameras. I just hope everything goes well with Gilad Shalit's release. It's difficult to trust people who appear to have no empathy or respect for life.
53. Laila Khalid -or was it Khalil???
Michelle @ 4   (10.17.11)
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Laila Khalid a first class Israeli soldier (in spite of her name) working with and for the British government. When in Sharjah UAE I visited a small private Museum belonging to the Sheich of either Sharjah or Dubai. She received some 23 bullets when surrounded by the arabs who were desperate to find her. The bullet that penetrated her heart was on display in the private Museum of the Sheich, among other very interesting articles. I remember Laila Khalid very well. She was a real soldier with not one gramn of fear in her body. She was killed at a very young age.
54. Arab journalists complain about their treatment
rebecca ,   Modiin   (10.17.11)
Was it just last week that Arab journalists complained about their treatment in Israel? "Since she ( Ahlam Tamimi) had a press card, she was granted free access to roam Jerusalem and collected information on possible targets for Hamas. " Gee - I wonder why we are cautious.
55. These monsters need to die
Danny ,   USA   (10.18.11)
When there is conflict you discuss differances and politics.Amana Muna pretended to be a young attractive girl to meet this 16 year old kid and murdered him. The other drove a suicide bomber to kill not even soldiers but just families and teens going out to dinner. If that is not monsterous.. what is???
56. the differance b/w ISrael and these Arabs
Danny ,   USA   (10.18.11)
The Major differance is ISrael attacks terrorists and these arabs attack civilians.. Other arabs get hurt in the process because they are situated right within the terrorist areas where missles are being directly shot from, etc. This is a win win for the arabs because either ISrael hesitates to fire back or, when they are finally forced to to protect their own, arab civilians are killed and this is great for media attention and to make Israel look like the bad guy, and it's moral for the Palestinians. Unfortunately this works every time. Blame Hamas and the extremist families that chose to live next to a weapon factory
57. Muno too scared to enter Gaza - LMAO!

58. What awaits Muna in Gaza?
DAVID ,   ATLANTA   (10.18.11)
hopefully a rope for hanging her, a whip for whipping her and with any luck, stones for stoning her... All well deserved.
59. best argument for capital punishment
Rob ,   USA   (10.18.11)
This capitulation is the best argument for capital punishment I have ever seen. And the best illumination of the world's fools and their media tools who call the government 'right wing.'
