31. Injustice, not Justice has been done
Shalom Freedman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (10.17.11)
Injustice has been done to the families of the victims of terror. The releasing of these murderers goes against all standards of decency and common sense.
32. Hate and blame are easy.
noa ,   israel   (10.17.11)
Death is horrible and over quickly. We have no idea what Gilad Shalit has gone through. Will your sorrow be appeased by making another family's son suffer?
33. Bus terror
Ezra ,   Florida   (10.17.11)
I remember very well when this particular terror attack happened. I also remember when then U.S.PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH SR. REFUSED TO CONDEMN IT AS TERROR ATTACK,"citing" that it wasAN INTERNAL OCCURANCE" and "A TRAGIC ACCIDENT" THAT DOES NOT MERIT AN INTERNATIONAL INTERFERANCE. Yes Mr. Bush, and 9/11 was also a DOMESTIC TRAGEDY. Right? But then you could not stop unleashing your top antisemetic dog, then S .O.S. James Baker, never missing an opportunity to critisize Israel. Topping off to his antisemetic feelings he then added that if P.M. If Shamir wants peace, he can call this phone number " citing the White House secret phone number in public
34. shame on you protesters!
Au. ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.17.11)
oh for Gods's sake leave the boy alone, as if his death would return any of previous victims of terror back to life! I really feel sorry for Noam Shalit, he gave his son to IDF instead of staying in nice&safe France, and now he has to argue with these ppl which his son was protecting, shame on you protesters! Gilad Shalit was protecting YOU while he was abducted!
35. Salma
Emma ,   London   (10.17.11)
The problem is that with the release of these vile, vicious murderers who your people will greet as heros, other people will die.
36. Utter sadness, tragic situation
Moshe ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.17.11)
How tragic that these bereaved families direct their anger and pain at the Shalits! Would any of them not have done everything the Shalits have done? It is hypocritical and disingenuous of them to attack the Shalits. Everyone feels for them. But the Shalits are not the cause of their pain. The Shalits are but parents, loving, caring parents. As are they. The Shalits are their brother and sister, NOT their enemies.

I think you may misunderstood the protest...Everyone is happy that Gilad will return home. but two worrying issues arise from this deal, One, will some of those released kill again, and secondly, will such a high price paid for Gilad, promote future abductions
38. Complex case and that says nothing...
Coolguy   (10.17.11)
In general I'm wholesale on the side of the terror victims' families and their petitions. They are totally RIGHT in practically every respect. In one, only one thing however Noam s. is definitely right big time. No, not in the dubious feel-good syrupy slogan comparing the dead to the victims. After all this is indeed basic justice and the future gross and potentially lethal imperilment of the whole public, which could be well be subjected to brutal and inhuman massarcres in the future needlessly and carelessly. However WHY on earth didn't these families do their utmost, everything in their power when the Shalits fighted against the visits of the terrorists/murderers, when it came to publically pressuring the Hamas regime through the government and the "world" letting loose on their feelings, even resorting to civil disobediance and various borderline violent tactics??? Where were they then indeed as Noam says/implicitly blames them???
39. its against the halacha
(10.17.11)
to free a prisoner for an exchange like the story of the maharal of rottenberg story .
40. If 1 single Jew is harmed by releasing 1027 unrepentant

savage kill machines, I want the following to resign in shame : Dorit i-dont-interfere-with-thestate-except-against-terrorist-fence Beinisch the other supreme Joke members all 26 ministers who voted in favor
41. No, he was not defending and protecting us
Yael   (10.17.11)
Gilad Shalit fell asleep in his tank. This is the inconvenient truth, so let's not make him what he is not.
42. Nice going. Politicians can open jails and
Harry Wright ,   UK   (10.17.11)
let the prisoners walk just like the walking guns and grenades in the US. The justice system? That is of no consequence as it is subordinate to the politicians.
43. #1 - Salma - No one needs your advice.
Canadian lawyer ,   Toronto   (10.17.11)
The last thing that any decent person needs at this sensitive and heart-wrenching moment is advice from terrorist sympathizers such as yourself. Go hug a child murderer and leave the rest of us alone.
44. Judgment is biblical, taught in Torah.
mary of Bethany ,   singapore   (10.17.11)
read tons of articles these few days, Meir Endor's "Hamas kidnapped the family members,. entire Israeli society.. campaigners who led 5 yrs of pressures" stand out. the Evil of Terror downplay the sinfulness of sin, the penalty of terror, it whitewash evil and demand grace to reward evil so that "as long as" someone might live. the beauty in G-D's Laws punish sin and protect His people, so that when one facing life-threatening crisis, one cling on to G-D, believing that "you may kill my body but you cannot cause me to sin and betray my brothers"... such virtues hardly exist anymore in the Leftists which are the most obvious corruption due to long-term compromise with terror!
45. So Sad
Rachel   (10.17.11)
I understand the victims families anger and anguish over this deal, but I also understand the Shalit family wanting for child back as well. My heart hurts for everyone involved.
46. # 2
Birdi ,   Israel   (10.17.11)
Very true you moron. Thats why Shalit has been protesting to get his son's release for the last 5 years. Now go crawl back under your rock where you belong. Lechi kfar.
47. Shalit
The Bald Scotsman ,   Medford, USA   (10.17.11)
It is all to easy to critisize the Shalit family. I ask myself what would I do If I was in their situation. The answer screams at me. SAVE MY SON.
