1. Why bother?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.17.11)
The only reason the ersatz "Palestinians" are crawling back to so-called "negotiations" is because they flopped at the United Nations. It is evident that the ersatz "Palestinians" have far fewer friends than they thought, and that Israel has far more friends than the ersatz "Palestinians" realized. Drive a harder bargain now. And if the ersatz "Palestinians" don't like the terms -- well, tell them to go to the United Nations. LOL!
2. Impose peace, please.
Michael ,   California, USA   (10.17.11)
Palestinians and Israelis are incapable of achieving peace themselves. They have been twisting and turning like hungry earth worms for a very long time. This conflict in the last 200 years has lasted longer than anything and it must end. Just do it and pay no heed to objections, please. You can achieve the goal of peace, quartet, with the great powers standing behind you.

Jennie ,   Israel/US   (10.18.11)
Thank You, Sarah . You have literally prevented me to send this idiot the same post... 2 shei..
6. And we are expected to do what?
Kayla ,   Florida   (10.18.11)
Jump for joy? Welcome them with open arms? Maybe throw a parade for them? Why this farce is taking place I will never know. And #2 - The goal of the quartet is to give every "piece" of Israel to the PA.

solomon ,   bklyn   (10.18.11)
Your words should be directed solely to the "Pals". A- Abbas has said 1. They will not give up on their demands even after a treaty is signed. [!?] 2. They will not recognize Israel as a Jewish state [yet will make "Palestine" judenrien] 3. They will not stop teaching their children to kill Jews [even though they promised in the Oslo accords to change their kids' education]. B- Israel left the Gaza strip and much of the WB (remember?). What they got in return was suicide bombers, rockets, mortars, bus bombs...murder. C- Israel has made many proposals. All the arabs do is say "no", with no counter proposals. They want what they want, not one cm. less. You would know all this had you been paying attention.

What do you do when you have five idiots in a room? You take a picture. Five totally worthless humanoids.
9. 8 AMEN!

10. #7 solomon, There must be a beginning somewhere.
Michael ,   California, USA   (10.18.11)
A new generation of people will need to grow up before there is peace, but the beginning will need to be imposed in my opinion. The conflict has been going on for so long, that the current generations on both sides cannot get themselves to a starting point from which to negotiate peace. So, let there be an imposed by the great powers stop to hostilities for long enough to enable new leader to come up, new thinking to develop and take roots. The future generations on both sides will want to live in peace because they will really know how good it can be. The Quartet's role is to start it rolling.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.18.11)
Fortunately, your opinion is worthless. Not even the United Nations -- thought to be a bastion of ersatz "Palestinian" support -- bought the drivel. You have this incredibly naive concept that the ersatz "Palestinians" only want to make nice. THEY DON'T. They want only to drive he Jews from our land. Our home. These interlopers from the Hejaz in the Western Arabian desert, from Egypt, from Syria, from Lebanon want our home. It isn't theirs. It's ours. And you got sucker punched. Either that, or you were supremely stupid to begin with. Which is it?
12. #10...Are you a buddy of Steiner from
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (10.18.11)
Bahrain...??? I just wonder...

Before your suggestion has even a slight chance of being put into practice, both sides must begin from the same vantage point; that of accepting the other. The arabs (Hamas, PLO, Hez, et al) have made it clear they do not accept Israel, period. The first step would be to change their children's hate education. The Quartet cannot do this for them (they promised to change the education in the Oslo accords and never did anything). For an imposed solution, both sides must be at the same level of acceptance. Good luck.
14. #13 solomon, Painful solutions.
Michael ,   California, USA   (10.18.11)
Imposing means forced solutions. If the agreement is to teach tolerance, foreign supervisors are placed to see that it happens. If there is an agreement not to build, foreign machines may be needed to smash walls. Definitely, troops will be needed to enforce cease fire. And so on, until both sides come to their senses. As to recognition, it will come naturally when both sides live side by side, albeit in an imposed state, until the thinking changes. As to the cost of such solutions, the locals will have to pay since they need "consultants" from the outside. Yes, it will be painful.

Don't lose your optimism. Except it won't work. The arabs and Jews have been living side by side for years. Yet arab hatred of Jews is inimical. You can't force someone to like someone else. Peace. Shalom. Salaam.
16. Quartet meeting Israelis-Palestinians
Orly ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (10.18.11)
I wonder what they will be negotiating about. Abbas is continuing with his rhetoric, not taking responsibilities and treating the terrorists as freedom fighters. They are murderers, certainly no freedom fighters, who killed innocent Israelis and some foreigners, children, women, youngsters, who had nothing to do with the army, or any violence against the Palestinian people. I hope the world will wake up and see him for what he really is, an archi terrorist, who is trying to show a face which is not his. He certainly does not want to make peace or cannot afford to make the necessary steps to reach it, which at the end, has the same result. Let's listen to his words in Arabic to his people carefully and call his bluff. We have to put all the necessary resources to explain and show to the world, what the leaders of the Palestinians are all about, and how much they lie to their people. Peace is very far away, as long that the Palestinians will not recognize Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people and insist on the return of refugees.
18. To: No. 14
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.19.11)
Imposing a forced solution? Worked so well in Kosovo, didn't it? No. It did not. You need to shut up and acquire a semblance of a life. Yes, it will be painful, but with enough psychotropic drugs and anti-psychotic medication, you might pull through. Or not. Let's see. Until then, please just shut up. You're a chattering monkey that no one really wants to hear.

I thought that slander was banned in the talkbacks. And yet you seem to be using nothing but slander and insults Why?
