Since the announcement of Gilad's release the media has been feeding the voyueristic citizenry a snorgasbord of everything but intelligence and reticence. Suddenly there is no other worthy news to be covered, just the mediocre newsmen interviewing anyone and everyone who was in captivity, relative of a captive, family member of a terror victim, general in or out of the army, psychologist, politician, you name it and they were on the air with absolutely nothing to say. Speculation after speculation, opinion after opinion, What has become of us, who so willingly are fed hot air? People taking pictures of themselves with the the Shalit house in the background - the caring, warm Israeli has transformed into the "ugly Israeli". Leave the Shalit family alone and let them begin the process of rebuilding their lives!
