All the leaders of Israel have offered their help, and it is time that Mr. ERDOGAN behaves as a true leader, who cares first and foremost about his trapped citizens, and try to save as many lives as possible, ignoring the fact that they are mostly Kurds. He just does not want to show the humanity of the Israelis to the Turkish people. We accepted the help of Turkish firefighters in the Carmel, and there is no reason that we should not be allowed to reciprocate. I just cannot understand how some of Turkish readers in local papers are happy and see it as a sign of punishment from God to the Kurds. Where is the Turkish humanity?

#1 anton is quite right. There is no question that Israel could provide Turkey with invaluable assistance and save many lives. However, there are times when principle must dominate over pragmatism, and therefore though it may hurt Turkey immensely, Turks must not accept assistance from an enemy. God blesses those who hold to principle in the face of great adversity. Turkey is being tested, but I think Turks have the strength to pass this test.

Point of Order: The 10 killed was a direct result of lawful, legal action by Israel when IHH Terrorists jumped Israeli soldiers during a legal blockade.
