John ,   Charleston,USA   (10.24.11)
Karmas a bitch
32. He was captured, should not have been shot!
RobNclt ,   USA   (10.24.11)
Qaddafhi should not have been killed after being captured. That is clearly a war crime and the man that confessed to it should be sent to the Hague to be tried for that war crime. That's all I hear when someone from the west does anything. Now it's time for the world to drag that man to the world court for his trial. If he does not have one from this point forward it should be ok to drag off British, Frence, or U.S. prisoners of war and execute them by shooting them in the head. A new precedence has been set by these three countries and their murderous allies in Libya.
33. The killer should be tried under the Geneva Convention
RobNclt ,   USA   (10.24.11)
and sent to prison for a war crime. If he isn't sent to prison for war crimes everyone in the world from this point forward will be able to look back on this occasion to remind the west that it's ok to kill captured western soldiers and kill them afterward. We have helped them set a new precedence that can not be overlooked. I live in the U.S. and from this point forward I would not stand against fighers who capture western soldiers executing them if we don't do something about this. It was wrong, it was wrong. I didn't care for Qaddafi but that was wrong and against international law.
34. Lybian masses no better than him.
Pasquinel ,   Canada   (10.24.11)
The man was still one of GODS creatures. Some relief is probable, but rejoicing in his death is plain wrong. Without Christ, ( the sinless Lamb of God ) the masses will probably spend eternity close to him... sad.
35. the Gaddafis is one of the largest tribes
observer ,   Egypt   (10.24.11)
that means he identifies himself and his tribe to challenge the Gaddadefa tribe.
36. Justice?
Denver Morgan ,   Skien Norway   (10.24.11)

angel ,   us   (10.24.11)
Read proper scripture-Torah for the truth and not the church nonsense.
38. Clearly he should have been captured
Andy ,   Seattle USA   (10.24.11)
and treated properly as a prisoner of war, not summarily executed. However this is easier said than done by people hyped up enough to do anything in combat other than cower in the bottom of a hole! Khaddafi being shot is predictable and understandable even if wrong.
39. so what's the difference between them,
(10.24.11)
between the rebel killers (who also tortured, abused and killed foreign workers, suspected of being mercenaries), who executed gadaffi and the gadaffi regime. Same barbarianism.
40. Execution
SomeDude68 ,   Knoxville, TN, USA   (10.24.11)
Too many of your comments regarding a civilized handling and trial of Gaddafi rely on him being IN a civilized country... or continent for that matter. He was captured and hence killed in an UNcivilized country. The savages treated the savage as savages do... savagely. Welcome to the new world of islam.
41. Re: He got the same mercy he dealt out, NONE. Justice was d
Brian ,   Augusta, GA   (10.24.11)
Tha'ts NOT what justice is. Since when did the oppressed becoming the oppressor constitute justice?
42. Muammar
Sgt. Bob ,   Lyman, US   (10.24.11)
Benito Mussolini or Nicolae Ceauşescu anyone?? History is replete with examples of this happening. Yes there are consequences to betraying ones own citizens. Man up!! Consequences....
43. BS
Bob ,   UK   (10.24.11)
I guess all the foriegn powers who helped him for so many decades are relieved that he won't be able to blab about them (Mr Blair ). Utter BS , can't believe how my idiots believe exactly what the media says straight away. Pathetic
44. just like someone from the left coast
Steve ,   spring montgomery   (10.24.11)
We don't really know anything about that country for all we know gadafi could have been giving away a house to everyone. I saw that on the net also let's not forget we are dealing with one of if not the worst white house in the US history. .
45. Gaddafi
King Freeland   (10.24.11)
Fighting an evil by becoming that evil does not constitute justice. Have we gone from the frying pan into the fire?
46. Good shot
hillcoguy ,   Fredericksburg Texas   (10.24.11)
George Bush made him do it!!
47. Geneva Convensions
Erik ,   Philly, USA   (10.24.11)
The Libyian Rebel contingent is not a signatory to the Geneva Convensions, and is not beholden to it.
48. Discipline in the ranks of the Libyan rebels is impressive!
Canadian lawyer ,   Toronto, Canada   (10.24.11)
Gives one loads of confidence in the future government of Libya.
49. MooMoo
Bob Welch ,   Charlotte, NC USA   (10.24.11)
"I am Spartacus"!
50. Who will be next?
Bad assed Jew. ,   United States   (10.24.11)
Seems that the arab spring has several targets in view. Let's hope they each meet this fate or worse. Just when you think one bad guy's gone, a dozen more vicious nominees step forward.
51. Libyan rebel: I killed Gaddafi
B ,   Amarillo   (10.24.11)
Now the question is, who is going take over, and is he going to be a ruthless killer as well. BTW, Good riddance to Ghaddafi.
52. Double standard for Democrats
Garry ,   Jacksonville   (10.24.11)
How is this any different than Reagan and Oliver North wanting to support the Freedom Fighters? Obama acted without the approval of Congress. Why aren't the " self-righteous" left screaming that it is an act of American Imperialsim?
53. Joy
BigWaldo ,   USA   (10.24.11)
Deserved or not, there should be little joy in killing.
54. Execution
evw ,   kansas city, USA   (10.24.11)
So if an American, Isreali, or western nation soldier had executed anyone, former leader of a country or not, I'm sure that the outcry and denunciations would have been immediate. Islam - the religon of peace.
55. Gadaffi Killer
macktheknife   (10.24.11)
This young boy is clearly a common thug. He murders Gadaffi when Gadaffi is held own by the animalistc mobs. I had no time for Gadaffi. He was, after all a commmon and brutal murderer but to be murdered by an 18 year old thug, a common little nothing wanting a name for himself... well he got it! is he aware that a horrible death awaits him?
56. Murder
Rude Lobo ,   Texas   (10.24.11)
If a US Military person did this the media would be crying for his head and demanding a court martial.
57. Geneva Convention
Jason ,   Colorado   (10.24.11)
Libya is not a member of the Geneva Convention.
58. Gadaffi
John ,   NC, USA   (10.24.11)
The issue is that he was killed by angry citizens. These are the people Gadaffi abused, tortured, oppressed, terrorized and murdered their fellow people. These people are not trained in the law of war, they are not soldiers and not disciplined warriors, but outraged civilians. It may be harsh but this is reality to be expected. He reaped what he sowed.
59. Rebels 1st Order of Business was...
Fredercik ,   Grand Rapids USA   (10.24.11)
"Mr Abdul-Jalil lifted immediately, by decree, the one law from Col. Gaddafi's era that he said was in conflict with Sharia - that banning polygamy". So guys, you get 4 wives and as many concubines as you want! Wasn't that worth fighting for?
60. Thug
David ,   Bakersfield, Ca USA   (10.24.11)
They should NOT have shot him; they should have tourtured him and find out where all his money is hidden, then kill him..
