If I remember my history right France reneged on her arms deal with Israel in the 60's twice after they had been paid now. Once the Mirage Jets and the other with missile boats Israel went ahead and copied the plans of the Mirage Jets and built their own. Israel also went ahead and hijacked the already paid for Missile boats and took them to Israel. I smell President Obama behind this.

People should not get excited over these statements, Islam has almost taken over Europe. Leaders in Europe are afraid of Muslims and the Liberal Leftists who kiss their behinds. So there is justification in holding Israel's existence in the face of Iran's pursuit of the bomb hostage to Germany's view of the Isr/Pal settlement they want to impose on Israel. All Western powers play this game but it is seems even more cynical when Israels ability to defend itself from extinction is impaired by a "reformed" specialist in genocide. Side note: This is the same country that trades freely in nuke parts w/Iran w/o any preconditions whatsoever. So Germany transitions from perpetrator of genocie to assister of genocide. It seems to me that Israel gains greater security from its submarines with their deterrent effect than it does from additional houses in East Jerusalem. If there has to be a choice between houses in East Jerusalem and Dolphin submarines, then the choice should be for the additional submarine.

Our defense industries need to be able to produce our required weapon systems without any outside involvement. Then we can tell the world to take a flying leap.

It's not surprising that Israel wants one more sub, given one needs two subs to keep one in the water. But with Israel's new gas finds and the threats against them, Israel needs additional surface ships more than it needs a sixth sub costing close to a Billion dollars. (Subs #4 and #5 were heavily subsidized by Germany, #6 is getting only a small discount.) Keep in mind that Israel's subs are primarily needed to patrol the Red Sea and Indian Ocean, and to get there there are but two paths: the Suez Canal (which Egypt could block) or the long way around Africa. Israel can today dock its warships in Eilat, but not its subs.

Germany is acting highly opportunistic. The current political staff in its leadership does not know enough about Israels history and the history of the ME-conflict, nor is this leadership interested in learning about it. With some 119.000 Germany effectively has no Jews. In contrast Germany has some 4.300.000 Muslims in its country and allows Erdogan to hold big events when he visits Germany. During these events he usually summons his "Turkish Brothers and Sisters" not to integrate into the German society. And Germany tolerates it. Germany only half-assed demands this integration and still, more than enough you can hear the clear request by Germans to be left alone with its history. They think they have payed enough. They think, they are ripped off by Israel and only toooo many think, that Israel is the bad boy in the ME while the so called Palestinians were the real victims. This is caused by the vast disproportion between Jewish and Muslim population in Germany. There is a lot of Muslim lobby activity going on in Berlin. And of course this lobby activity quite effectively blames Jews to have the real influence on German policy and hold power in the media and finance industries... The German government does by far not enough on this problem and I believe "this train has left" and I have little hope, that Germany will come back on track.

This said, you cannot blame the few "friends" we have or had for getting really annoyed with the double talk of Netanyahu. Anyone with a modicum of sense would know there is a time and place to do everything but Netanyahu is so obsessed with being Prime Minster he is putting the ultra-rights and the "settlers" over the interests and the security of the rest of the people. Bibi, it's good to be right but better to be wise!

I say a better deal is to give the PA half of Washington as their capital. How dare you as a paid troll be arrogant enough to determine what city is whose capital in another country.

If they renigue I say take the sub technology from the Germans and partner with India to build a Sub probably cheaper anyway. Also refuse to sell them Gas in the future.

Gilo has never been part of any country except Israel. How dare the Germans build in Berlin this is outrages!
