Talks don't work when one side wants to talk and the other side wants to kill the side that wants to talk. This is child logic. The only solution for right now is peace through projection of power. It could be generations before a Palestinian generation that is ready for peace emerges. In the mean time, the world should mind more pressing issues like Iran, Sudan, economic issues, cure for AIDS, etc. There is no point in the whole world "talking" about the solution to a conflict that cannot be solved unless both sides want it.

Looks like Israel gets to keep the territories indefinitely.

More than Israelis, it is US strategists whose arrogant faces are getting crushed under dignity and jealousy bulldozer because of Palestinians Country bid at UN. Therefore US strategists (and their cohorts) are running around like headless chickens in the UN offices to derail Palestinians statehood bid at UN.

The P.A. can stay away from the table forever. Israel has no desire to talk to the terrorists. So who cares what they demand? Judea and Samaria belong to Israel now and forever.

In the Palestinian proposal i'd like to see what they propose doing about Hamas. Abbas cannot control them or their related factions. In addition, both sides are seeking an alliance, and neither feels like accepting Israel as a Jewish state. Since Hamas is made of Palestinians and keeps threatening to kidnap soldiers and launch destructive items... if the quartet wanted to make itself useful... why dont they figure out a solution to that before asking for settlement freezes or other ridiculous things that the Palestinian side squanders?

Everyone knows the Jews will steal everything they can, but will eventually be forced, like South Africa, to hand power over to the majority population, the Palestinians, with 8.7M voters, while the minority Jews have only 5.7M voters.
