Anyone who says this is a crime is totally immoral.
"selling" kidneys sounds worse than brokering organs for people who will die otherwise. In Jewish values life is above all else and to save someones life justifies going against this ridiculous law. The reason why it is $120,000 is because you have to pay everyone off along the way since it is illegal. This law is murdering people and this man is not a criminal at all.

...that Haredim, unlike secular Jews. Muslims and atheists do not try to block organ harvesting from the dead.
I actually know a guy, haredi, who bought from this merchant. He considers him a hero. He posted a lot of defense of this the salesman on the internet when the news first came out some time back. Said he was helping the poor make a little money and saving the lives of people who could not accept cadaver organs.
Now, why the harediim don't volunteer kidneys to each other is a different story.
