1. For Once I Agree With Hamas
emanon ,   USA   (10.28.11)
They are already planning their next kidnappings of Israelis. When they realized they can paralyze an entire nation through the kidnapping of a single individual and exchange this hostage for 1,000 killers, that act then become an act of terror and POWER.
2. Hey smarty pants . . .
noa ,   israel   (10.28.11)
Islam self-righteously claims to be closer to "God". It seems they go against the Koran and devalue life, and cheat and screw. Whereas, Israel, that as a State, makes no claims, actually does adhere to the Bible. "Saving one life is as if one saved the world". Who comes out looking better?
3. Stronger? Let's see how strong when an F16 flies over!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (10.28.11)
Then you become bunker bunnies! 1 for a 1027? That shows what you values are and a country and people who survive because of terror, even against their own people, should get membership of the UN and all the decent minded countries should leave!
4. Alas, it was a stunning victory the Israelis handed Hamas
Cameron ,   USA   (10.28.11)
Just appalling. How did this happen?
5. Israeli Media did more for Hamas than can ever be dreamed.
Alan ,   SA   (10.28.11)
6. The devil himself!
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (10.28.11)
We live in a time of violent atrocities. What day does not pass, when some terrorist doesn't kill, maim and terrorize? To be so morally and ethically bankrupt, as is needed to kidnap a young man, hold him as a hostage, proclaim his as a pawn, and then advertise it, requires a true monster. Worse, much worse yet, is the consideration that a world body, the United Nations for God's sake, would see this fitting for statehood! These "people" ( a term used loosely) are Monsters. They haven't yet earned the civility of being called "animals". If they feel that this defines strength, then it is only because they have grown more repugnant.
7. WHATEVER, WHATEVER
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (10.28.11)
The bottom line is Israel got there guy back, and Hamas thinks it has a victory violating International Law. Oh well? I wonder if Israel decided to kidnap Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouk and hold him in secret with No Red Cross visits for over 5 years, what would be the world reaction? I think we all know, don't we? So the double standard rears its ugly head again. I guess I'll always have mixed feelings about this deal (happy Gilad is free, worried that it's another dangerous precedent that may come back to bite Israel in the butt). But at least at the end of the day...today anyway...I'll rejoice, and just look at the positive. I'll remember Israel can kidnap Pal leaders as well as terrorists, and let those cowards go hide in their bunkers and worry.
8. Prediction!
Taz Man ,   USA   (10.28.11)
Very soon, Israel will finally flex its collective muscles and destroy the Palestinians and the false strength of Hamas. Yes, Israel will take-off-the-gloves...and give ole' allah and his little girls a real spankin'! That's another thing: it really amazes me how a bunch of camel jockies and sandy tent dwellers believe in a stupid, false god that recides in a small black box in a building in Mecca (once there were 360 idols reduced to 1). That's why a small, black artifact, that can be seen and touched, will never defeat the true, invisible God (the great "I Am") of the Jews and Christians. Islam will be defeated and exposed as the sick, evil lie that it is. The true God will not be mocked! God bless Israel and His Jerusalem! A Christian Zionist
9. Victory?
Eddy ,   Africa   (10.28.11)
Seems that they forget Cast lead...
10. Shalit a pawn.And the Gazans?
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (10.28.11)
I wonder what the Gazans think that they all are in Hamas's schemes? THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
11. Message to Abu Marzouk
LION OF JUDAH   (10.28.11)
You or your terror gangs,or any Arab/s will ever defeat Israel, never.Watch your back Ya Abu Lahna.
12. I agree with him 100%
Zionist forever   (10.28.11)
I am not sure Hamas can even believe that they got away with this deal especially considering that for the past five years the leaders of all the main parties have been against doing a deal on the scale Hamas want. This deal has made kidnapping soldiers and civilians a priority for all palestinians. On the day Bibi announced a deal was done Hamas announced they intended to kidnap more soldiers. Hamas are heros and it will probably get them reelected if Abbas ever agrees to hold the elections which are now two years overdue. CONGRATULATIONS HAMAS YOU SCREWED US GOOD CONGRATULATIONS BIBI YOU HAVE ENSURED THERE WILL BE MORE KIDNAPPINGS.
13. Senior Hamas official: Shalit deal made us stronger
ltrail ,   United States   (05.24.12)
Nah. You would hope so. But one Jewish life for a thousand whatever, is the real heart of this story. It shows the worth of Shalit vs whatever. The State of Israel now has profiles of everyone of those thousand rascals and will take them down if and when they become "problems". You are now weaker because of the trade deal. Lol.
