Defense officials said Israel was also holding back in an effort to keep the violence from escalating further.....You would figure after the humilation of giving up 1000 killers for one guy that israel would try to some how make up for it and hit back brutal hard after being atacked again..This is one sad sack nebbish country.Sad !

7. Draft the Protestors To Buffer Israel
Noah Lev ,   LosAngelesUSA   (10.30.11)
Could this be a maneuver prior to the UNSC and UNGA votes for statehood, somehow linking the fighting with the necessity? i would not put it past Hamas, and Islamic Jihad. On the other hand w/o Egypt there canot be war, and w/o Syria, no peace, as the old saying goes. W/O Hama (and Hez) on board, can there be a PA-Israel peace treaty? Food for real thought. Lets assume there is a signed treaty..and Hamas wants more, like Tel Aviv, then what? Will it use the treaty for their advantage (and influence)? Israel seems typically confused. Should it hit hard and kill innocents or strike specific small targets which has no lasting effect? I have suggested going into the Strip..slicing it into 5 parts. securing the beaches, searching and destroying Hamas and its surrogates, arresting Hamas leaders. But NO SETTLEMENTS GUYS. Hows about using the protestors...to settle some military important areas...ON the other hand..
8. Bibi, Olmert, Livni, Are You Sleeping?
Noah Lev ,   LosAngelesUSA   (10.30.11)
Israel will never defeat the Pals terrorits this way...as 20 years of experience should show. They can simply build new rocket factories, and smuggle rockets in from the Sinai, which, I believe is making them more embolden. They now have a source of weaponry, other than the flotillas. The Sinai is now New Hamastan. As Hamas said, Shalit was a "pawn", and has made Hamas stronger by the release of 1100. The kidnaping, the 5yrs of no Red Cross, the exchange for 1100, the threat of more such activity, coopled with the rocket firings..doesnt that tell Israel something? Until it wakes up, incorporates capital punishment, hits Hamas hard..and changes its image..this will continue. The man killed by shrapnel, was only the beginning. Hez has already said it will hit Tel Aviv..where are you Bibi, LIvni, and Olmert, dreaming?
9. Well, they just cannot help themselves ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.30.11)
... can they? Let's help them get to their 72 virgins, shall we?
10. Salma - is this an example of the worth of Pal words?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (10.30.11)
Your "heroes" also said they'd stop the rocket fire when the IDF stopped bombing them in Gaza. Gosh, Salma - it was your heroes who fired the rocket three days ago that started all this! We know that Palestinian promises aren't worth anything, but do you think that there is anything to make us think differently?

12. The BBC rag continues to mislead by the sin of omission.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (10.30.11)
"New Israeli air strike into Gaza after 'ceasefire'". There was no mention of what the terrorists were doing - preparing to fire rockets into Israel. The filthy BBC continues to shape anti-Israel sentiment by deliberately leaving out pertinent facts to present the picture that Israel broke the non-existent truce.
13. Words
Gal   (10.30.11)
If I got it right, we vote this political crowd to protect Israel not to give us useless comments. Go and do your Job or get out and start to write books Mr.Prime Minister.
14. Sarah 9- The Palestinians always overreach.
Stephen in New York   (10.30.11)
I suspect many in Gaza feel emboldened by Israel’s agreeing to trade one thousand for one. They think Israel is weak: Hezbollah “spider web” metaphor.
15. Please, give a sensible explanation, I cannot underestand
Jorge ,   Tegucigalpa   (10.31.11)
Why is Israel sending the fuel to drive terrorists and trucks to fire rockets that kill Israelis, why is Israel sending electric power to weapons and ammunition shops in Gaza, if a country is at war, does it make sense to feed the enemy soldiers, that wage war against it. it is sheer madness
16. "When all IDF jets leave the skies, then we'll stop firing"
William ,   Israel   (10.31.11)
Doesn't work that way. Infact, the issue of "cease-fire" means you stop firing, which despite the IDF having planes in the skies, they will also do. If you want the IDF to take the jets away, which apparently make you nervous, then too should you dismantle all rockets you have which are also a threat. And considering your track record, whenever Israel turns its back, even in a cease-fire, you fire again then run. So...no.
