Just return grad rockets to sender...Gaza city and make my day.
7. reminds me of the british joke when the trains don't work
zionist forever   (10.30.11)
In the UK when the trains don't work the railway companies are constantly making excuses like there are leaves on the track and other excuses blamed on the weather. Now the IDF are blaming success of the rockets on the weather. Fact is that Iron Dome is a waste of money. Its just fine for shooting down one or two rockets but but it can't handle large barrages which are coming from these multi launch rocket system which can fire a barrage and move on. The only solution is to go on the offensive and destroy the weapons before the terrorists can use them.
8. CONCRETE!
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (10.30.11)
But I thought that UN,EU,Quartet said that concrete had no aggressive use. Oh,I forget. In their terminology, concrete covered missile bunkers are a defensive and civilian use. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
9. Why is Gaza still standing?
Koose E Mack ,   NY NY   (10.30.11)
Flatten Gaza so no rocket launching will be possible in the future. Drop leaflets for 48 hours, and then turn Gaza into dust.

observer ,   Egypt   (10.30.11)
Hamas has made significant gains in manufacturing its own rockets. It has learned to create Ammonium Perchlorate Compound, an advanced rocket propellant that in addition to extending the Qassam's range beyond 20 kilometers also - and more importantly - increases the rocket's shelf life. That means the organization can, for the first time, maintain a supply of rockets for months at a time. Analysts believe Hamas currently has over 1,000 rockets. Egypt began collaborating with Argentina on the Badr-2000 (which parallels the Argentine Condor II) in 1984. The Badr/Condor was to be an advanced two-stage, solid-fuel, inertially guided ballistic missile, and was described as "state-of-the-art." It was expected to deliver a 700 kg payload over 1,000 km, accurate to within 100 meters. In late September 1989, Assistant Secretary of State John Kelly testified to the House Foreign Affairs Middle East Subcommittee that Egypt had terminated its cooperation with Iraq on the Condor II. According to press reporting from June 1990, China has signed a protocol with Egypt to help modernize the Sakr missile factory, "enabling it to produce a newer version of Soviet antiaircraft missiles, the surface-to-surface Scud-B and Silkworm and the Egyptian Sakr rockets."
18. I don't want explanations after the fact
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.30.11)
I want pre-emptive attacks. I am beginning to think that the woman's costume and wig that Barak so famously wore in Beirut has a lot more to it than we realized. Get that old woman out of the Defense Minister post and appoint someone with real ba*ls.

23. Moronic Barak excuses.Concrete launchers are EASIER to hit!
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (10.31.11)
Fixed concrete launching positions (this is what became of the "humanitarian" concrete Barak let in) can be instantly located by counter-fire radar and destroyed by counter-fire artillery or airstrikes on the GPS coordinates - since they come from exactly the same spot every time. As for truck-mounted multibarrel launchers, these are large and distinctive and should be fired on whenever they are seen, firing or not. The problem here is that Barak values the lives of Gaza Arab civilians more then he does the lives of Israeli civilians. The IAF should be carpet bombing the launch sites - easily identified by the smoke contrails - with sticks of 2000-pound bombs from F15s, destroying everything within 200 meters of the rocket launch bases, fixed or mobile. That will destroy the launchers and crews and passes muster as a lawful proportionate response to rocket firing into Israel according to any reading of the Geneva Conventions. Israel is not required to spare the lives of Arab civilians used as human shields near the launchers by the terrorist groups - that is an Arab war crime, as is firing the rockets in the first place. Barak's hesitancy and cowardice is why they feel safe firing these rockets in the first place. No US government would put up with this.
24. what a sick and disguting joke this regime has become
chaim.s ,   54st brooklyn ny   (10.31.11)
this leftist self hating cowardly government, has turned all of Israel into a modern version of the Warsaw Ghetto, where jewish children must hide and sleep in bunkers, and where schools have to be closed, because this traitorous cowardly self hating regime will not defend it's citizens, citizens of Israel,is this why we had to come back to our Israel after 1900 years of exile? would any other normal country tolerate thousand of rockets raining down on it's population centers? people of Israel,it is high time for a REVOLUTION,march up by the millions to jerusalem, storm that insane asylum called the Knesset, and drag those criminaly insane pathetic cowards out of there, put them on trial for high treason, and install a government that will defend it's country and it's people
25. What happens to our IDF ?
Nora Tel Aviv   (10.31.11)
Disgusting. The more the IDF has the means, the less it uses it.
26. to #17
MJ ,   G.OD's Kingdom   (10.31.11)
Thanks a lot, your given info is precious. Unfortunately this talkbacks are not read by the people needing to get this important info you have given. Whoever you are I thank you so much.
27. #25 Nora - IDF?
mba ,   Israel   (10.31.11)
Tthe occupation has gradually turned the IDF into a police force with all the ramifications. Look at the second Lebanon War and Cast Lead Operation: civilian lives were expendable as to soldiers - these are political decisions that have caused the deterioration in the IDF (except for the airforce maybe). To actually clean up the mess in Gaza it will take troops on the ground (as in all wars) and casualties which as of today the politicians are unwilling to pay the price. As they say "sh..or get off the pott".
28. Barak and Netanyahu success
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (10.31.11)
Let's give Barak and Netanyahu some credit. After pardoning hundreds of murderers and releasing them to murder again, and the failing to stop rocket attacks on civilians, these two had a success. Last night they sent IDF forces to destroy three Jewish homes in Bat Ayin. They even managed to do it IN THE RAIN. Kol ha kavod!
