31. #8 - but the Media AND the world do not want to know
William ,   Israel   (11.01.11)
The media does visit Israel and sees the truth, yet they refuse to print it. The BBC, like so many others, purposely omitted "Palestinian" rocket fire from Gaza and only focused on Israel's response making the Jews look like aggressors. RAI, the Italian news outlet, apologized publicly to Arafat for airing video of the lynching of Israeli reservists because it made the "Palestinians" look bad. Gone are the days of objective, factual reporting. And gone are the days of global citizens actually taking the time to understand the story and get all the facts, in lieu of sound bites of mindless rhetoric. Oddly enough, it's the anarchists and liberals who decry the "corporate media" for their subjective reporting who are the people most exercising snap-judgements based on sound-bites and subjectivity in their responses.
32. #15 - mostly the noise will come from UNHRC
William ,   Israel   (11.01.11)
Both Falk and Pillay have the most to lose by Goldstone's admission of the witch hunt against Israel.
33. Really desperate to see your grandkids aren't you ?

34. Please let me remain a Jew...hahahaha! TATA
Edithann ,   USA   (11.01.11)
35. #23 - what alternative are you looking for?
William ,   Israel   (11.01.11)
"Necessary military operation to block Arab terrorists"? or better yet, the accepted UN definition from 1967 - "disputed". The term "occupied" comes from the same place "Apartheid" does - baseless ignorance which is steeped in a racist agenda. It's the same racist agenda that causes people to purposely ignore the illegal annexation and ethnic cleansing of the West Bank by Arabs, and flooding it with Arab immigrants. All of those actions are war crimes and against the Geneva Convention, but conveniently, your ilk sees no problem with it.
36. In the Amidah prayer, we pray for the demise of "court Jews"
Jake ,   USA   (11.01.11)
While uttering this prayer, the face of Richard Goldstone used to pop into my head.. Welcome back to the tribe Mr. Goldstone, I sure hope your teshuvah is sincere.
37. @34
(11.01.11)
and why not? jews in general, of all people, are the brightest, the most educated, the most innovative and the most successful beings on planet earth. they have contributed more to the world than any ethnic groups combined. just look at the achievements, dear, in all fields of education, science, technology and medicine to realize this is a fact. jews are proud to be jews, including dr. goldstone. and then look at us arabs comoared to the jews in and out of israel. to sum it up. we all equal zero compared to them and we did in fact invent the zero, but sadly, stopped right there and became one. egyptian pro israel
38. #34 - or better yet "please let me remain human"
William ,   Israel   (11.01.11)
Guess he final felt the "ickiness" of being associated with such war criminals and scoundrels like Hamas and uber-liberals. I can see why. Not many people supporting those groups these days - the conscious is a thing its tough to run away from...but you proved it could be done.
39. lack of manhood
chaim witz   (11.01.11)
I think Mr. Goldstone should stick with his former Israel-slandering opinions. Trying to fix things now is not only pathetic, but a demonstration of personal weakness.
40. please define israel !!!
confused!!!   (11.01.11)
is the west bank and gaza also called israel ? is the golan also israel ? if the answer is yes , then all the residents of those places have israeli citizenship !!! do they ??? and if the dont then its called occupation and apparthied !!! which is it ??
41. Re #29 and others.
John ,   Alaska   (11.01.11)
Eze 18:21-23 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: [and] not that he should return from his ways, and live? We like it when stuff like this happens, because Adonai Ha'Shem likes it when it does.
42. onfused!!! #40 no just stupid
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (11.01.11)
According to international law all land west of the Jordan River belongs to us. In 1948 Jordan occupied Judea and Samaria and ethnically cleansed the Jews from the territory. Egypt occupied Gaza and did the same as Jordan. Syria stole part of Israel and did the same. See a pattern yet? The Arabs that stayed in Israel were given citizenship and equal rights. Jordan gave the Arabs in Judea and Samaria citizenship. We liberated Gaza, Judea and Samaria as well as the Golan that was originally ours as well. We formally annexed all of Jerusalem and the Golan and gave citizenship to thoses that accepted it - most did not. When Jordan and Israel signed a peace treaty Jordan renounced all claim to Judea and Samaria but left their citizens on our lands. So to answer your stupidity - neither of those groups are citizens of Israel. They are illegal occupiers of our lands.
43. #40 - Does Kashmir, Tibet, West Sahara, etc...
William ,   Israel   (11.01.11)
classify as "Apartheid" in your mind? If so, why is NO ONE in the UN or the rest of the world rallying end this? If not, why is this unique situation in Israel, a place surrounded by hostile elements who publicly call for the ethnic cleansing and destruction of Israel, being described as such when other situations are not? Apartheid by its very definition is the enactment of laws by one ethnic population against another ethnic population IN THE SAME COUNTRY. "Palestinians" are not Israeli citizens, and non-Jewish Israelis have the same rights and freedom of movement as everyone else in Israel. It isn't "occupation" because of the complex history of the land prior to 1948 which in essence never saw an autonomous country called "Palestine" or a unique population called "Palestinians". The proper definition of the situation today is "disputed" which is why the UN adopted it in UNR242 in 1967. By the way, the Golan IS a part of Israel, and those residents also have equal rights with other Israelis.
44. Goldstone
Michael ,   maimi   (11.01.11)
He is a venemous self hating Jew who is hiding his real feelings because his wife is ostracized from her reform synagogues women's club. No forgiveness for the damage you have done.
45. His editorial is very well written
Daniel ,   Canada   (11.01.11)
The problem is who's listening? At the end of the day his words fall on a bunch of retards who are so hateful of Jews and Israel, that they may suggest Goldstone was a clandestine agent of Israel all along.
46. Richard Goldston
Harold ,   USA   (11.01.11)
Kim Kardashian divorced her husband Kris. LOL
47. Man you are slow in understanding......

48. Gross Idiot @ 22
Moragh USA   (11.01.11)
49. #40 you're not confused, you're pretending you are ignorant
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (11.01.11)
Or maybe you really are lazy and simply haven't bothered to learn anything about the Arab-Israeli territorial dispute. Let me make it less confusing for you. What is the statute of limitations for refugee status? You know...how long does it take until you simply stop becoming a refugee? If you look at the Arabs who now call themselves "Palestinians", well, in 1948 they were simply "Arab refugees". Sometime in the 1970s they became "Palestinian refugees". How long will they keep that refugee status? Another year? 10 years? 100 years? 1000 years? And if that refugee status simply never ends, that means of course that the Jews are the legal residents of the country called Israel. If refugee status never ends, then the Jews have total rights to all the land they were illegally evicted from 2000 years ago when they were turned into refugees. If there is indeed a statute of limitations, then of course we'll simply wait until it runs out on the Arabs who now call themselves "Palestinians".
