Nobody should be forced to stay in a marriage they do not want!
2. No separation between religion and government.

But will the Rabbis take it to the supreme court or just not do it?
3. religious ruling by state?
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (11.04.11)
Can it be that the state can give a religious ruling? Can a religious court give a secular ruling? Looks like something needs looking into.
4. I have read that 85% of divorces are initiated by the

wife. So men must be more diligent to marry a woman who is willing to stay in a marriage for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, until death parts them. That takes a diligent search since most women and most men do not have the heart of HaShem. Those who have the Torah written on their hearts would prefer seapation to divorce since Rabbi Yeshua said anyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery and anyone who marries a woman who is divorced causes her to commit adultery.

society will tank. Look at all western societies where quick dovorces are the norm, starting with the USA. Quick divorces do not benefit women as you would like to imagine, rather they benefit men more so as they can run and hide that much quicker. It discourages men from marrying. They prefer to simply just mess with the woman and string her along. In western societies, the women are today the bread earners, the ones who raise the kids alone and the ones who pay the bills..Yeah sure men date divorced women for the noogie, they will not raise and feed her kids. The divorce laws are on the side of women so the men decide to disengage. Who ends up being the loser? Everyone but mostly the kids.
6. #4 - NOT JEWISH!
Chani Hadad ,   Nof Ayalon   (11.05.11)
By Rabbi Yeshua you mean JESUS, so just come out and say it. Christianity forbids divorce, but Judaism recognizes that the humane choice would be to allow for divorce in cases of miserable marriages.
7. Separate Religion from State NOW

8. If only the USA would follow
Aharon Friedman ,   Silver Spring, MD   (03.21.12)
If only the USA rabbinical establishments would do something similar. In the US there are simply no mechanisms in place to punish the husband. He is free to abuse the wife all he wants with no repercussions.
