1. EXCHANGED FIRE IN ASIA.
SJOERD RUURD VAN DER ,   MULTIVERSE   (11.03.11)
UNFORTUNATELY THAT WAS NOT A SMART ACTION BY THE ''ISRAELI'' LEADERS-SHIP AND BY THE IDF IN THAT WAY TO (RE)ACT IN SUCH A WAY.
2. military forces working on the fence?!
observer ,   Egypt   (11.03.11)
so, they showed no respect to the buffer zone which the Palestinians already declared.
3. So much for the "cease fire" committed by Hamas...!!
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (11.03.11)
4. CLOSE THE BORDER TO GAZA
Collapse Hamas ,   without war   (11.03.11)
Shut off electricity to Gaza now. Force Egypt to feed it.
5. rockets
colin   (11.03.11)
Hamas fires rockets again and the cowardly groveling minister oe evictions who hates jews does nothing. IDF planes reply by wasting bombs on empty plots and unused tunnels. When will the PM get rid of this coward barak????
6. Like Little Children...
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (11.03.11)
our Arab neighbors thrill in upsetting and bothering us. But unlike little children who do it for the attention and mean no real harm, the Arabs take no small amount of pleasure in our suffering. For this, they will never be forgiven.

Gaza is not a nation, and the extent and degree of "declarations" which they may make are severely limited by international statute and convention, particularly in light of the fact that Gaza is non-sovereign territory. That said -- has Hamas, Islamic Jihad, or any other terrorist rabble in Gaza shown any respect for Israeli declarations of buffer zones? Ten thousand missiles fired into Israel would indicate that no, they do not. The difference, as I said, is that Israel is a sovereign state, and Hamas et al. are a terrorist rabble. No one really pays much attention to ersatz "Palestinian" "declarations." And as long as missiles continue to be fired into Israel, any such "declarations" are irrelevant, anyway.
8. @#4 i totally agree but hy can't our
gal1 ,   israel not palestine   (11.03.11)
stupid government see that?
9. To deal with the Gazians.
BA ,   Sweden   (11.03.11)
Cut the electricity and water supply to the Gaza strip. Not as a "collective punishment", put since it can not be determinate who and where is fighting and making tillim. But no. Of course not. "Must not upset the world", right Ehud…
10. Yes--cut off water, electricity, and good going into Gaza.
Kayla ,   Florida   (11.03.11)
And do it PERMANENTLY. They want to destroy us and take our land. Our leaders need courage, strength, wisdom, and most of all to RELY UPON, HONOR AND OBEY HASHEM.
11. I fail to understand
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.03.11)
Gaza fires rockets into Israel and we give them the Electricty & Supplies that enable them to do so Cut off the water, electric and all types of sustenance that allow them to continue their operations
12. Sarah #7, you are the one who adamantly demanded Hamas
observer ,   Egypt   (11.03.11)
behave as sovereign state and take the Red cross to Shalit jail in Gaza.
13. because if Israel doesn't give them electricity,
observer ,   Egypt   (11.03.11)
other nations will sell them electricity at a lower price.
14. #7 Sarah B.
Vlad   (11.03.11)
Don't forget that the IDF was operating on the Israeli side of the fence, rendering all Palestinian "buffer zone" declarations meaningless. Hamas has no right to declare a buffer zone inside sovereign Israel.
15. To: No. 12
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.03.11)
No. Wrong. I merely pointed out that they refused to allow Red Cross visits. Hamas is a pile of terrorist dung. The very thought that they are capable of acting as a sovereign state is thoroughly ludicrous. The same holds true for all ersatz "Palestinians," everywhere.
16. No need to enter Gaza to fix Kibbutz fence
William ,   Israel   (11.03.11)
So, right off, that's a lie by the Gazans. Second, it sounds like the excuse used to justify violent actions from Lebanese army against IDF when they were repairing the fence on the Israeli side, but not cross the other fence into Lebanon. Either way, good our soldiers are safe and Gazan terrorists are dead.
17. Take a look on how the bbc repeats this story.
Daniel   (11.03.11)
I cannot stand the BBC, and I am a brit.
18. #13 . Are you suggesting Egypt?
A ,   Belgium   (11.03.11)
Good! I personally would love to see it happen. Maybe you could sell them gas and water too. Although at the moment, I think the only thing Egypt is capable of selling is sand.
19. To #6 Reuven
John ,   Alaska   (11.03.11)
People who do awful things who repent are indeed forgiven, and freely. The reason your neighbors will not be forgiven is because they harden their hearts and refuse to repent of their hatred for your people. It's sad, but like the sins they refuse to forake, it is their own responsibility.
20. To #17 Daniel, I took your advice
John ,   Alaska   (11.03.11)
their story said, in part, "Palestinian emergency services spokesman Adham Abu Selmiya told AFP news agency those killed were farmers who were working the land when they were targeted." The rest of the article is along the same lines. This is a likely source of anti-Israel sentiment and anti-Semitism in Britain. The BBC is cursing itself by cursing your people. Perhaps losing the Empire upon which the sun never set was not enough of a warning for Britain.
21. BBC
Ronnie ,   Lehavim   (11.03.11)
From the BBC: "Israeli troops 'kill two in Gaza' ." "Palestinian sources said Israeli troops had crossed over into northern Gaza." Palestinian emergency services spokesman Adham Abu Selmiya told AFP news agency those killed were farmers who were working the land when they were targeted. I can't believe that this is the same incident that ynet and the BBC are reporting on. Someone is lying.. I'm Born & Bred British & it is, unfortunately, clear to me who it is.
22. Israel
steve ,   Sydney   (11.03.11)
Israel is an illegal state which was started by terrorists such as Irgun etc and thrive on religious bigots. if murder is right in the eye of their God then there can be no God
23. #12 NON-OBSERVER
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.04.11)
Let them buy the electric elsewhere, we'll cut off all supplies of any types that wont be sold, including gasoline, kerosene, oil and foodstuffs Now would you mind explaining how they're going to get electric from Turkey, Syria, or Libya, when there are no lines collecting those points to Gaza It won't come by sea, that you rest assured of I have an idea, instead of your spouting your usual nonsense, put some batteries in your pocket, and take the electric to them I do love it when you post, you always make a fool of yourself Keep up the good work
24. #23 a kind of pocket battery
observer ,   Egypt   (11.04.11)
Egypt's gas deal was based on bribes to official persons making the contract void according to international law. So, Egypt agreed on continuation of gas to to Israel sufficient to generate 33% of Israel's electricity only on the condition that Israel supply Gaza with pre-paid electricity. in early October, Egypt has opened its pocket for Gaza to raise Egypt's electricity supply from 17 to 22 megawatts.
