What are the side effects of these so called drugs? More people die from some of these drugs that are reported. The courts of America are chocked with 100's of 1000's of wrongful death cases against the drug companies. Be very careful with some of these drugs. In many cases Dr's are given rewards in the form of trips, cash etc for prescribing (pushing) some of these miracle drugs. Do your own due diligence.

Lipitor is a cholesterol lowering drug. As is all drugs, there are hazards & side effects. All one needs to do is read the leaflet inside the box of tablets & discuss with ones doctor. No big deal !

As a long time user of Lipitor I have absolutely zero side effects and it is helping me stay healthy and keep my cholesterol in acceptable ranges. It can damage the liver, but that is why I go to a doctor twice a year. My father had to have Bypass surgery twice by my age, I haven't. That is what this drug does.

Hurrah for Teva. I had to get off Lipitor because of its cost. However, beware of Ranbaxy as they have had FDA recalls many times recently.

the entire cholesterol schtick is a massive racket and scam. The revenues from the sale of the medicines are tremendous. Doctors and labs make money by monitoring your cholesterol level. With these medicines, doctors (who are not wicked, but who are mostly innumerate with respect to evaluating probability/statistics statements, and this has been demonstrated numerous times) are able to moveyour test scores down. It makes them believe they are accomplishing something, which is not so very easy to do in the real world of public health. And of course, it's billable to the insurance! And there is little or no validated evidence that cholesterol levels indicate anything upon which you can logically make a decision! I urge you to check out www.thincs.org
