31. To #10 Daniel, you're looking at it wrong
John ,   Alaska   (11.03.11)
The entire world already hates Israel, because the entire world hates the Jews, and that is because the entire world hates their G-d. There are exceptions who love all three of the above, and these exceptions generally approve of Israel defending herself and standing up for herself. Netanyahu has again found his spine, which he seemed to have misplace after this summer. If you dislike this fact, the fault does not lie with your PM.
32. Haha!
Yitzhak ,   TA   (11.03.11)
Better and better! At LAST, Bibi and Barak are behaving like Israelis! Does anyone remember the scene in "Lethal Weapon II" when Danny Glover is in the South African embassy, and the guy says, "But sir .. you're blick!"? I can picture a similar scene taking place in Arab foreign ministries and in UNESCO. "But.. they're Joooz! They're not supposed to fight bick!" LOL!
33. Actually, UNESCO played right into ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.03.11)
... Western hands. The United States Congress and, evidently, Canada, have long been seeking a way to stop throwing money into that bottomless pit that is UNESCO and other U.N. agencies, and the ersatz "Palestinians" made it all possible. UNESCO has lost one-quarter of its funding, and it will lose considerably more when Germany and other European nations (with economic woes of their own aplenty) follow the lead of the United States, Canada and Israel. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of uneducated, unscientific and DEFINITELY uncultured United Nations losers.
34. To: Harry at No. 21
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.03.11)
Oh, I don't know about that. The Armenian delegate does not look very happy to me. He is certainly not engaging in the standing ovation.
35. What the UNESCO do if Israel don't pay fees
Sabra ,   Zinzibar   (11.03.11)
i don't think that UNESCO without the Israeli fees will make Bankruptcy
36. #34 Sarah - I think you're right. I had another look after
Harry Wright ,   UK   (11.03.11)
submitting my post and realised my error - too late. I wish I knew who were the happy folks on their right.
37. No need to sponsor pals' culture...

O F D E A T H .
38. to #21 Harry - Armenia doesn't look happy
John ,   Alaska   (11.03.11)
Everyone's else is giving a standing O or at least applauding, but Armenia's rep is just sitting there uncomfortably, even though they voted for this mistake. Maybe an attack of conscience?
39. # 23
Birdi ,   Israel   (11.03.11)
Eagle, please, ''loves'' not loved.
40. # 35

41. #38 John - Actually the guy looks preoccupied on his
Harry Wright ,   UK   (11.03.11)
cellphone. Maybe he was relaying the good news to his government.
42. daniel #10
bari ,   nyc usa   (11.03.11)
get your head out of the shtetl and stop looking for love in all the wrong places. there isn't any. stand up for yourself and the jewish people.
43. What needs to be highlighted
(11.04.11)
Points taken from others very good comments:- 1. Its a good idea to lobby those countries that voted against to suspend funding. Muslim nations now control UNESCO - they should fund it. 2. Just how and why a "member state" has its tax revenues collected by the very enemy? Unbelievable. 3. Israel should use these funds to compensating Israeli victims of terror.
44. Israel has been paying UNESCO??!!
Bas de Smit   (11.04.11)
What idiots, really there are no words fitting...
45. Like paying someone to whip you.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.04.11)
Can anyone come up with a sane reason for Israel to support the U.N. in any of it's hostile, corrupt and disgusting manifestations? It's like paying someone to whip you.
46. This is further proof that we don't want Tzipi or Kadima
meir elazar   (11.04.11)
Tzipi and Olmert worshipped Neville Chamberlain. Thank G-d they are in the trash heap and irrelevant.
47. Banki Looney is deeply worried that his extravagance will be
Harry Wright ,   UK   (11.04.11)
curtailed if the 20 odd main donor countries withdraw their financial support of the UN. If that happens, he will not get the 2 billion plus the additional 3 billion that he is begging for, to renovate and expand the UN including the Geneva branch. He does not deserve it nor does he deserve the means to increase the already large staff (which is getting bigger and bigger by the year) when productivity is next to nothing. They are all lining their pockets and living extravagantly off taxpayers money. The US is footing a large portion of the bills. Congress must put a stop to this nonsense and OWS must send a contingent of protesters outside the UN. The UN is nothing but a corrupt, useless organisation, now serving the interests of ruthless Islamic dictators. Down with the UN and BO should be impeached if he continues to give that body any further support because of its blatant anti-American agenda.
48. #13 - Robert
Yael Schlichting ,   Raubling - Germany   (11.04.11)
Robert, it would have been enough, if they would have thought only once. The problem is, that they don't think at all, when it comes to their ideological catechism!
49. Netaneyahoo plays a Rigoletto to Obama's court
Miron ,   USA   (11.04.11)
and we as a whole nation have to feel like his daughter. We didn't earn this behavior from our homeland elected leaders. Netaneyahoo should leave at once.
50. It is high time all liberal democracies followed Israel's...
JBI   (11.04.11)
...Canada's and the US's action!!
51. #12 welcome to reality
Borislava ,   Sofia, Bulgaria   (11.04.11)
Communist (socialist) and shame is an oxymoron. You're lucky that you live in a democratic and social state. Bokova, Papandreou, Assad understand only from healthy democratic slap & imperative
